My father went into Eden Court for some respite care in February and is now a full-time resident. It took him a week or so to settle in but has made friends, takes part in the activities and asked to stay on full time. It has great facilities, the food is delicious, it is clean, and the staff are always
friendly and helpful. Dad has taken a much more active role in the activities than I thought he would. I was looking for a modern, purpose-built facility and I would recommend anyone to have a look and talk to the great team.

I was very concerned when my mother reached the point where care at her home was no longer an option. However, on my first visit to Eden Court and my first meeting with a staff member and then the manager, my worries were put to rest.
This has been confirmed many times over since my mother moved in.
All the staff no matter what their role is at Eden Court, are kind caring and always happy to help. A special mention to all the staff on the First Floor, I am so grateful to each and every one of them for all their support help and kindness. In addition, I have been able to communicate easily with the doctors who attend Eden Court and therefore I am always kept informed.
I will continue to worry for my mother and her health but, thanks to the care and attention she is receiving at Eden Court, I will definitely not be worrying about how well she is being looked after and cared for.

Eden Court is just 2 years old, i.e. almost new, and in some ways resembles a sumptuous hotel. It is built around a courtyard in which to sit on warm days.
My wife spent a month recuperating there, and we have both decided that it is so good that we will go there if we need long-term nursing home
care. Everything about the place is excellent. The rooms are ensuite, well-furnished, warm and comfortable. Visitors are welcome. I had several lunches there and found the food to be excellent, and the staff are very friendly and efficient. What more does anyone need?
Reply from Martin Harrington, Resident Service Advisor at Eden CourtThanks very much for your review. We are truly appreciative of your kind words, which we will relay to the care team.

From the time we arrived, everybody has been very caring, helpful and compassionate. My husband was treated with so much love, respect and dignity and it meant so much to him after bad experiences at the hospital. The food was excellent, and the activities were thoughtful, fun and inclusive. Cannot
praise enough.

My father needed a respite stay following a recent hospitalisation. After much research, I settled on Eden Court as one of the shortlisted options. I sent my mother to visit and as soon as she visited she was set on Eden Court.
The care my father received was outstanding. Compassionate, gentle, dignified,
and human. My mother also stayed at Eden Court to be close to my father and absolutely loved her time there. She felt exceptionally well looked after.
The food is outstanding. Seriously the best restaurant in the area. The activities are thoughtfully put together. The facility itself is spotless and beautiful. The staff are all outstanding and you can tell that they are there because this is their vocation and calling. Thank you Eden Court for all you have done for us.

My aunt is a resident and I visit her regularly as her only nearby relative. She really loves her room and the home/village. She uses the lounge, dining room, garden and beauty salon which means she mingles with other guests so she never feels lovely. The facilities and staff are excellent.

We are very happy with Eden Court. The accommodation is well presented, comfortable and clean. The communal areas are particularly nice. The care staff have been excellent and all the staff are very friendly. There are a couple of areas where I could suggest improvements (i) we have had some issues
with the laundry service and items going missing as they were not labelled and (ii) many of the activities are focused on the less mobile residents and it would be good if there were some more activities for the more mobile residents. My mother also likes to get outside and it would be good if weather permits to have a daily walk or time in the courtyard garden to get outside a bit more.
Reply from Colleen Davidson, Eden Court Resident Services Advisor at Eden CourtThank you for your constructive comments. We will always strive for excellence, and are currently reviewing our laundry and labelling procedures to provide an improved service. Our activities schedule will continue to evolve to reflect our increasing occupancy, and the requirements of our individual residents.

I am most impressed with the care and attention given to my long-standing friend of sixty-odd years during his first month at Eden Court. My mother stayed at Eden Court post-hip surgery following a recommendation from her Surgeon. Any apprehension of placing my mother in a care environment were soon curtailed. The welcome was warm the staff were friendly, helpful and thorough. The activities she enjoyed greatly especially the live entertainment.
I would definitely recommend Eden Court to any family member or friend in need of being looked after.

Eden's team were very welcoming and showed good care and attention to a new resident. The room and common areas are of a very high standard, and the food is exceptional. Staff were evident and often checked on the new resident. A medical check was carried out that identified an existing problem, which
was treated well, and all parties were alerted, demonstrating good practice and controls.

A really great friend has been a resident for about five weeks now, and I have come to see that it is just the right place for him and has confirmed my initial thoughts when seeing the place for the first time before he settled in.
The staff are all amazing and friendly. They truly go the extra mile
to ensure he gets the most out of his time within the building. The building itself is great, with different areas for socialising and partaking in activities. The food is wonderful and made fresh daily; no fish fingers there (like he had twice a week in his previous care facility).
Visitors can eat with residents, who are there either permanently or on respite, in the dining room on the ground floor, accessed through the bar area. It is all very welcoming.
Secure parking for visitors is useful too.
We are all delighted that we found Eden Court.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.962)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.962) out of 10 for Eden Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.962 for Eden Court is calculated as follows: ( (252 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 262 Ratings = 4.962
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Eden Court is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 79 registered maximum number of service users is 15.8, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

What I Do
As the Village Manager at Eden Court, I have the privilege of overseeing this beautiful retirement village. Eden Court is truly unique—each time you step in, it feels special and welcoming. We strive to create an environment where both residents and their families can form a meaningful emotional connection.

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care, ensuring that it goes beyond just our residents. I also take great pride in offering a workplace where staff feel valued, have fun and love to work, creating a positive and supportive environment for all.

My Experience
I hold a BSc Hons in Chemistry and Dementia Care Mapping from Bradford University, and I bring over 30 years of experience in the care industry. My journey began as a care assistant, and over the years, I have progressed through various roles, ultimately managing a range of care homes.

I specialise in turnaround projects for care homes and have had the privilege of leading teams within luxury brand care homes to achieve Outstanding ratings with the CQC. Throughout my career, I have been honoured with several awards, including Manager of the Year and Care Home Team of the Year, and have successfully commissioned brand new luxury care homes.

About Me
I believe in the power of laughter and enjoy having fun in everything I do. As a proud mother to three wonderful princesses, I cherish family and the joy they bring to my life.

In my free time, I love writing and playing music, as well as watching comedies that bring a smile to my face. Nature is a true source of inspiration for me, and I enjoy surrounding myself with vibrant colours and the beauty that the world has to offer.

What I Do
As Care Service Manager, I oversee care delivery at Eden Court, ensuring compliance at the outstanding level required by CQC and that it is delivered with compassion and flair.

My Experience
I bring nearly twenty years of experience in the care sector at various levels, including as a Registered Manager.

About Me
In my spare time, I love clambering over old ruins, visiting castles and historic monuments. English history is something that fascinates me, especially as there is so much of it around! Our other joy is travelling around Europe (when we can) and trying out new cuisines and restaurants.

What I Do
As Care Services Manager, I oversee all aspects of care and clinical practice within the home, ensuring high standards of safety, compassion, and person-centred care. I bring over five years of NHS experience to the role, including three years in a busy A&E trauma centre and time in intensive care, where I developed a strong foundation in acute clinical practice and crisis management.

My Experience
Since moving into the social care sector, I’ve held management positions in several care homes, leading teams to deliver dignified, high-quality care in complex environments. My passion for elderly care is deeply personal—my grandfather lived with dementia, and that experience continues to drive my dedication to ensuring residents feel safe, respected, and well-supported.

About Me
Outside of work, I enjoy running, football, trying my best to play golf, and spending time with friends. I’m very family-oriented, and I love travelling and being out in nature whenever I can.

Job Title: Resident Services Advisor Joined: 2025

What I Do
As a Resident Services Advisor at Eden Court, I support new residents and their families through one of life’s big transitions by making sure they feel informed, welcomed, and cared for every step of the way.
I love problem-solving, especially when I can help someone find the right solution or make a difficult decision feel easier. Being there to listen, guide and reassure is what makes this role so rewarding for me.

My Experience
I have over four years of experience working in the care sector, where I’ve developed a strong understanding of the needs of residents and the importance of patience and clear communication. Before my work in care, I built a foundation in hospitality through several years working in hotels. These experiences helped me develop a people-first mindset and a natural ability to make others feel comfortable, supported and heard – skills I rely on every day at Eden Court.

Job Title: Lead Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator Joined: 2025

What I Do
As the Lead Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator at Eden Court, I create weekly schedules focused on physical wellbeing, mental stimulation and social engagement. I organise a variety of activities, including group exercises, creative workshops, outings and social events, all tailored to our residents’ interests and needs.

I work closely with the local community, welcoming schools, clubs and volunteers to foster a sense of belonging. Additionally, I arrange external entertainment and specialist visits to provide diverse experiences. My goal is to create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

My Experience
I hold a degree in Sports and Exercise Science and a master’s in Sports Biomechanics, where I gained expertise in improving fitness and wellbeing for both athletes and the general population. While studying at Loughborough University, I worked part-time as an Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator in a care home, where I saw firsthand the positive impact of physical, mental, and social activities on residents’ wellbeing and overall quality of life.

This rewarding experience inspired me to pursue a career in the care sector. After completing my studies, I returned to London and joined Eden Court as the Lead Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator, where I combine my academic knowledge and practical experience to design programmes that enrich the lives of our residents.

About Me
I have always loved staying active. After my sprinting career was cut short by injury, I discovered aerial gymnastics. Now, I practise aerial straps, hoop and silks for both fitness and fun and they have become an important part of my life outside of work.

I’ve worked across pubs and restaurants, gaining hands-on experience in fast-paced kitchens and refining my culinary skills. Transitioning into care has allowed me to bring creativity and restaurant-quality meals into a setting where food plays a crucial role in well-being and comfort.

About Me
My love for cooking began in my grandfather’s bakery in Sicily, where I learned the value of food made with care. Now a father of two young girls, life is wonderfully busy both in and out of the kitchen. I’m passionate about using food to make people feel at home, wherever they are.
