It was a hard decision to put mum in a care home and im really pleased mum ended up in this care home and will without hesitation recommend to anyone
Thank you for such kind words of praise! Mum was a well loved resident who will be missed by many, and the home has greatly noticed her absence. We always try to do our best, as if the resident was our own family member, and we extend our care to the residents family when needed. I will ensure your...
The staff are absolutely amazing, nothing is ever too much trouble. We, as a family, feel so very lucky for our mum to be a resident and she feels she is part of a 'family'. Our mum has just been in hospital and the staff were all so concerned about her and kept in constant contact with us every day, they are just amazing. I cannot praise them all enough.
Thank you so much for the kind words of feedback. The staff here really do 'care' about our residents, it's more than just a job to the team. I will ensure the team are made aware of the feedback and know that their hard work is truly appreciated.
My Aunt's end of life care at Lavender Court has been of a very high standard. The staff have been very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Regular checks on her well being were done for the whole of her residency. Questions arising from myself and her niece were answered promptly and fully so that we were always aware of her condition especially towards the end of her life. My Aunt was a particularly demanding person but that did not seem to phase the staff and they were always respectful and understanding. One hears of horror stories in the press about some care homes treatment of their charges but in the case of Lavender Court, they are at the opposite end of the scale. I would whole heartedly recommend Lavender Court to anyone.
Thank you so much for your kind words of feedback. I will pass them on to the team at our next team meeting.
Staff provided very caring and considerate support for our aunt at the end of her life. She had been in the home for less than a year but staff had clearly got to know her well and treated her very much as an individual. They were respectful of her dignity at all times.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. I will share them with the team.
That care has been exemplary and hardly faltering (even when losing power for some time due to Storm Goretti)
I am so thankful that she is there and so grateful to all the staff who are helping her
Thank you for the kind words of feedback and praise. They will be shared with the team who constantly go above and beyond for our residents.
My father in law was resident at lavender court from April 25 till his passing in August 2025. The care received from all staff was fantastic always going above and beyond. I couldn't of picked a better place to care for my father in law
Thank you so much for your words of praise - they will be shared with the team :)
Dad has been looked after very well and the staff are friendly and helpful. Dad's wife passed away in June and the home has been very helpful with transferring all contact to myself and my wife. Dad loves his food and is fed well and looked after well
Thank you for your feedback and kind words - it will be shared with the team.
My husband is resident in Lavenders Court. He is being very well cared for. The staff are very helpful, answers any queries I may have regarding health and welfare. His room os kept clean. The food is suitable for the residents. The management are always on hand to speak to relatives. I have no complaints, apart from the lack of parking. With new apartments being added this could be a real problem.
Thank you for the nice words of feedback. I will ensure they are shared with the team. Unfortunately, we are unable to do anything about the size of the carpark due to our location in the town and the buildings and roads around us.
Mum received the best care from the time she arrived at Lavender Court in January to her death in May. In particular, the family would like to praise both day and night staff on duty the weekend of her death. They looked after us with as much kindness as they did mum. Lavender Court may not be the most fancy care home, but the care is second to none.
Thank you for your lovely words of feedback. I will ensure they are shared with the team, especially the staff on shift you refer to.
Dad became a resident at Lavender Court, following another care home. Lavender Court provides a 'homely environment' where residents and visitors feel welcomed. All of the staff are professional, caring and supportive to dad and us. Staff are adaptive in their approach to individual residents. We have been kept fully informed of dad's day to day needs and medical needs. Dad appears settled, and especially likes the 'gravy' at mealtimes, apparently the best! It is always difficult to leave your loved one in residential care, but knowing dad is cared for, makes it easier for us too. Thank you to all the staff, medical professionals who visit too!
Thank you so much for the kind words of feedback. Dad is a joy to support and always has the staff smiling. We are very lucky to have such a great team of staff, along with the amazing team of external professionals who support the home. I will ensure your feedback is shared with the team.
My mother was there for 18 months and I cannot fault the care she received.
In the last few weeks of her care they could not have been more considerate, helpful, caring, and all around wonderful. It helped the whole family negotiate these awful times.
The care they gave my mother was exemplary and the support for the family fantastic.
Cannot recommend highly enough and would give them 10 stars if I could. Jill and family.
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. The team always try their best to extend the care to the family in the difficult times. I'm glad the family felt as comfortable as possible during the last few days, so that the most could be made of the short time you had left. I will ensure the feedback is shared with the team.
My Dad was at Lavender Court for 5 months. His behavior was challenging at times as his dementia progressed. Staff care was good and caring, with an understanding of his needs. I would be happy to recommend this home to others.
Thank you for your feedback. I will ensure it is shared with the team.
During her stay Mum has continued on her cognitive decline along with her many health conditions leading to a number of emergencies. Every time and every day the whole staff have been so kind and caring. Mum died two days ago at the age of 89 1/2. Mum's request was to stay at the home indeed her home, although she often asked me "where is this place?".
Mum's final three days were a true and total example of the very best and sincere care that these folks provide.
Not only were they keeping Mum safe and pain free but loving and caring for her and us as a resident family.
If a care home becomes the best choice for anyone let it be like or actually be Lavender Court!
Thank you for the touching and kind words! The team strive to do their best - especially during the most difficult times. During the final stages, we extend our care to the family. Our aim is to make that time as comfortable as possible for the family as well as the resident, so that they may make...
Generally the care home is very good but the wi-fi is rubbish, my sisters daughter lives overseas and the only way we can rely on her being able to have a conversation with her in when we use my phone. She has a portal but the reception is poor.
Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, the issue with the Wi-Fi is an external issue that the providers have been trying to rectify for over a year. They have recently replaced the telegraph pole on the road outside and are in the process of connecting us up to it over the next few months. We...
My Mother has been at the home for almost 12 months now and her care throughout this period has been exemplary. The management team are always there to speak to support our family and answer any of our questions. The staff are always caring, thoughtful and respectful towards our mother and her needs and ensuring she is well looked after. Security in the home is excellent but at the same time very flexible in allowing us to take Mum out whenever we can. Thank you everyone.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words. I will ensure it is passed on to the team.
The home is spotless and immaculate in all areas. Bedrooms cleaned consistently. 5 stars from the Peckitt family.
Thank you so much for your feedback and praise. I will pass on your comments to the team.
The rooms are cleaned by a lady who is very excellent job. Everyone extremely helpful. I nearly checked myself in.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words. I will pass them onto the team.
My experience of Lavender Court has been exceptional, the staff are very friendly and caring. The management is always on hand to help and sort out any problems if they arise. My mum seems very content here and I know she is being well looked after. There is usually something going on, games, crafts etc. for residents to be involved in. I would recommend Lavender Court to anyone.
Thank you for your kind words of feedback, I will pass them on to the team. We appreciate your support and the close relationship you have developed with the team. We are like a family here at Lavender, and that includes you as you visit multiple times a week and have a lot of input into Mum's care. So kind words are very much appreciated. Thanks again.
Lavender Court Care Home took care of my husband for 18 months, having been admitted with dementia and during that time took him to hospital for eye appointments and cared for him when he had chest infections. He enjoyed the entertainment and visits from people bringing in animals for them to see. The staff always made us (the family) welcome.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback, I will ensure they are passed on to the team. Your husband is really missed at Lavender Court as he was a very popular character, loved by many. It was an absolute pleasure for us all to care for him as he had us laughing all the time, but most of all we will miss his smile as it would light up the room.
I had friends in Lavender Court over the last 2 years. They were husband and wife. Every time I visited them I found the staff very friendly, empathic and very helpful. The home was always very clean and tidy. My friends always looked very clean and very well looked after, even her hair looked lovely. I was very surprised as when her husband died the carer even accompanied her to his funeral to save me having to come and pick her up. There were activities to do and she even had a party for her birthday. I would definitely recommend this home.
Thank you for your feedback and lovely comments. I will ensure they are shared with the team.
