Lavender Court Care Home is situated in the beautiful seaside town of Perranporth just on the north coast of Cornwall. Providing residential care to 35 residents the passionate care team is on hand 24 hours a day providing assistance with all everyday tasks required. Each resident has a tailored, person-centred care plan, which allows for plenty of choice specific to each individual.

Lavender Court can accommodate those requiring residential care and care for those living with dementia. Permanent placements or shorter respite breaks are offered for those wanting some TLC or support whilst families go on holiday. Understanding that moving into a care home can be very daunting and life changing there is flexibility to trial a respite period prior to making that important decision.

The home has a very welcoming and friendly feel to it with spacious homely communal areas and a beautiful garden. All of the bedrooms are spacious, fully furnished and come complete with an en-suite and television.

The chef at Lavender provides nutritionally balanced and varied menu choices to suit every taste and nutritional need. Lavender Court has a Wellbeing Coordinator who provides a varied activity programme whether that is a group activity, one to one time, arranging entertainment or bringing the community into the home, there is always something for everyone.

My mum went into crisis at home. After social services input for respite care, we went to Lavender Court to see if the home was suitable for Mum's needs. One member of staff welcome us and put Mum at ease. We all felt that the home was welcoming and caring. The team are happy and patient - this reflects
in the atmosphere at the home being a happy one. Lots of ideas in integrating the home into the community are inspirational. I love this home, and I'm happy that Mum is safe, well cared for and respected.

My mother is well cared for, well fed and looked after in a safe environment. We appreciate the difficulties and challenges given the medical conditions of residents. What is very clear is the improvements since the new manager and deputy arrived, plus the easing of Covid restrictions. Importantly,
we can always talk to staff when required.

Amazing facility and staff caring and supportive.
Very fresh and clean, best in Cornwall, food very well presented and well cooked.
Of all the care homes, we looked at this was the best, by far the best.

I found the manager and staff very welcoming and helpful. We went to sing carols to the residents. All my church choir members liked the premises to say 'We'll be putting our names down'

I found the home to be in a state of immaculate cleanliness and no odour was noticed. My friend and other residents were well dressed and appeared to be warm, comfortable and clean. The staff could not have been more kind and helpful. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated for Christmas.
The buffet lunch we shared with the residents was quite simply amazing. As a retired staff nurse who has previously visited many residential and nursing homes, it was the best I have ever been in.

This place is amazing, it's wholesome in every way. I've been living here - you never run out of love and it's in the care here, loads of love. Food, drink and everything you need physically and mentally - I do not know of anywhere else that fits the bill as good as this does.

A beautiful home in superb condition. Décor is tasteful and of a high standard. Ensuite room, good food and very friendly staff. I would be happy to recommend or put my family in here.

My auntie is at this care home she's been there a few months now, and my parents visit most days. I have been a few times. So far we/I have been very impressed. It's a lovely location with great views and also great little walks around the small boating lake opposite.
The staff seem very caring, patient
and friendly, and it seemed very clean inside.
Can't ask for much more.

It is evident that Auntie is well cared for in very pleasant surroundings. The property is newly renovated and cleaned to a high standard. The staff are warm, respectful and obliging. There is not yet a set menu, but any personal whim is catered for, and the staff do their very best to satisfy personal
choices. The light, airy rooms feel more like a quality hotel and the views from the rooms over the boating lake, where residents can take a walk, or assisted ride in a wheelchair, are very interesting.

My friend has settled really well in Lavender Court. The staff can't do enough to ensure his happiness and comfort. All the staff and management are extremely friendly and approachable.

Lavender Court is a lovely new care home in wonderful surroundings. My sister, who has dementia, has blossomed since her arrival at Lavender Court.
The staff are both very caring and considerate, they can't do enough to make my sister's life enjoyable, which is evident as she is always smiling now.
Her
mobility has improved greatly, from barely walking on her arrival, she can now do a circuit of the boating lake (with assistance).
My thanks to all the staff at Lavender Court for giving my sister an enhanced quality of life.

In the past, I came to this home for respite care after hospital admissions - in a great location but standards were non too high! A year ago I was in hospital again, this time needing longer term care so social services arranged for me to enter a large, expensive nursing home which I did not find suitable.
A friend told me Lavender Court was reopening with new owners after a rather low period in its' history. I contacted the home and liked the directors plans for the home. I found out she had personally spent six months decorating and refurnishing the home so I decided to disregarded the current inspection reports (they refer to the home under the old, not new management) and gave it a try. I was right to do so and my (high) expectations have been met.
Staff are helpful, well chosen and trained. Management is excellent. Meals, rooms and facilities are very good and can be tailored for individual residents. Excellent future plans are underway (e.g. own minibus). Well worth visiting.
