other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

We considered other care options but someone recommended Deewater Grange. As soon as we visited we knew it was the right option for Mum. The staff are all so lovely and she has settled so well. She enjoys the privacy of her own room balanced with the opportunity to mix during, meal times and activities.
She particularly enjoys the coffee shop and the outdoor space. We have peace of mind that Mum is safe and, most importantly, happy.

My mum is a resident at Deewater Grange Care Home, and has been a resident for 2 years. Mum was initially in the general care area, but as her needs changed is now in dementia care. She is most definitely happy and settled. Both admin and care staff are very friendly and helpful, and I think, as a relative,
it helps to develop a relationship with the staff, as your specific requests then become more like a conversation. Mum's room and facilities generally are super-modern, spacey and well laid out. There are lounges and a cafe on site, which means a change of scenery is possible during a visit. I would recommend Deewater Grange to family or friends.

Thank you so much for making my mum feel so welcome at Deewater Grange. She came for two weeks of respite care, arriving tired and in need of some TLC, which all the staff went above and beyond to deliver. The staff took time to get to know mum and understand her needs. Her room was very comfortable,
and the food was fantastic. Any questions or worries mum had were dealt with quickly, and mum felt listened to, and nothing was too much trouble. She enjoyed some of the many activities that are available there, and it was a great way to get to know some of the other residents. Mum went home, much more relaxed and recharged, and looking forward to (hopefully) visiting again in January for more respite care after an operation.

I am not normally one for writing reviews but on this occasion, I felt compelled to write and let people know just how amazing every single member of staff has been in both their dealings with me, prior to both my elderly parents checking into DeeWater Grange Care Home as well as the way my parents
have been treated since they arrived at the Home.
Every single question I had was answered clearly, professionally and with an understanding of the kind of emotions I was going through in what is a huge step for my parents to take. I must give particular thanks to the team who have been absolutely brilliant at every step. My parents are now residing at the care home and quite honestly, since the moment they arrived, they have been treated like VIP guests at a five-star hotel. To sum up, I cannot thank everyone involved at DeeWater Grange enough for the excellent service and facilities they provide. Thank you.

Lovely welcoming by the staff always smiling.
Lovely area inside and outside of the facilities.

After 18 weeks in the hospital, it was lovely to bring my husband to Deewater Grange to be looked after by your nursing care team.
Everyone is lovely and very professional at what they do. The rooms are lovely, very spacious and comfortable. The coffee shop is a wonderful place to go to relax and chat
with visitors.
Overall, it is a wonderful home.

The standard of care provided by the dedicated and well-led team at Deewater Grange is exceptional, a real credit to both the company and the wider healthcare sector. My mother recently moved into Deewater Grange after falling at home and spending time in hospital. My initial visit to Deewater demonstrated to me that Mum's well-being would be in safe hands. After 4 week, my initial feelings about the suitability of Deewater have been totally vindicated and Mum is
now much happier and in a better position physically than she was. The staff and management were extremely helpful and supportive in ensuring a smooth transition for Mum from hospital to Deewater with the minimum of drama. Mum's room is lovely and food excellent. All staff are so friendly and helpful. My dog enjoys her visits too.

Five-star care was provided to my mother during her time at Deewater Grange. The staff were attentive, friendly and caring from day one. I cannot thank the staff at Deewater Grange enough for their dedication to caring for my parents.
They began their stay due to my father’s serious illness. My mother was initially very worried about moving into a care home but the expert care and attention from all staff soon put her mind at rest.
The layout of the home gives an opportunity for both privacy and joining in communal activities while the coffee shop area is perfect for visitors.
My father has made a remarkable recovery while at Deewater, much of which is thanks to the quality of nursing and the excellent food he has received throughout. I would highly recommend the care at Deewater to others.

The home is very welcoming and friendly. Mum receives excellent care and the staff really do look after her well. Any medical issues are seen to straight away. The is a lot of space and room so Mum can go walking around without being hemmed in. All the staff know everyone's name so adds to the friendliness.

At present, my mum requires nursing care. She couldn't be in a better place. The environment and facilities are amazing. Clean, bright, comfortable and inviting. The food is excellent; fresh, healthy and beautifully presented adding to its appeal.
But most importantly to me, the staff are exceptional.
They are warm, friendly and welcoming; professional, well-trained, highly competent, patient, kind, caring and compassionate. Nothing is too much trouble. They treat Mum with dignity and respect. Her treatment and care are personalised, specific to her needs and never feel like a series of 'tasks' to be completed. She is always treated as an individual. Mum loves the staff.
It is the only facility Mum has been where I feel confident her needs are anticipated and fully met and that she is truly cared for. I can trust the staff completely, which reassures me and greatly reduces any anxiety my dad or I have about her health or care needs. I am delighted with Deewater Grange. It is exceptional.

My husband received respite care for two weeks and I was most impressed not only by the professionalism of the staff but also by their instant engagement with his needs and wellbeing as an individual. I chose this care home for my mum because of its staff, facilities and activities. My mother has only been a resident for two weeks and I am pleased that I did. From booking Mum in, to moving her in, to visiting her, to see how she is getting along, I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful
at all times. My only couple of suggestions would be that it would be very helpful to have a 'key worker' assigned to Mum. Someone that she can build trust and a relationship with, someone who is a key contact for me to discuss issues, answer questions and give feedback on Mum's progress. A welcome pack may have been useful too, with all the forms for me to complete held within it, as well as contact details of people, address and telephone numbers. I would also be grateful for the phone in Mum's area to be kept to hand so that it can be answered. I was given a phone number to reach Mum, but I found that on a number of occasions it has continually rung and not been answered. A fab home still!

The team are really pleased she is settling in well and that she is finding all staff welcoming and friendly. Our friendly and helpful team are something we pride ourselves on at Deewater Grange. We welcome feedback as this allows us to tweak our processes and systems to give a smoother introduction to the home.
A keyworker is assigned and welcome packs are in the residents' bedrooms with key information; we endeavour to make signposting for this as clear as possible.
The forms to complete are normally done in person by the customer relation manager, however, some paperwork cannot be done until admission. We are looking at ways in which we can make this process more efficient in future.

An amazing care home. My aunty loves this place, it is so friendly, caring and beautifully kept.
The staff are amazing with so much going on every day to keep residents active and stimulated.
My aunt is looked after in every way possible and she has such a good bond with all the staff.

out that are organised by the staff are so good and my aunt loves them.
It is such a weight off our minds knowing how happy our aunt is at Deewater Grange, seeing her so content and well cared for they are like one big family of their own in Deewater and we could not ask for anything more from them.

Job Title: Home Manager

I have worked for Care UK for most of my adult life, starting out as a healthcare assistant and progressing to my current role as Home Manager. With encouragement from colleagues, I also completed my nursing degree as a mature student.


Being able to work my way up and gain my qualifications (which also include NVQs in health and social care and leadership and management) has been a huge achievement for me and a big career highlight.


In this role, you need to be able to communicate well and have strong leadership and planning skills. Working as a team also means you have to be good at motivating people. It is also important to have a good grasp of budgets, and it is essential to be clear about safeguarding policies and procedures.


The work we do really does make a difference, and that fills me with immense pride. It feels great when we get positive feedback from relatives who can see that their loved ones are receiving the quality care they need.


My favourite part of the day is the time I’m able to spend having a coffee, cake and a chat with residents. Seeing everyone get along well and share special moments really does brighten up each day.


Outside of work, I love to travel and spend time with my children and grandchildren.
