I love coming to visit my aunt, the staff treat us like we are family, we laugh, we tease we have such a good time.
I follow Henley House on social media and share photos of my aunt enjoying life with the rest of my family.

My aunt is so happy and it shows in her face. I cannot thank everyone for putting the smile on her beautiful face, thank you.

Initial experience of moving Mum into Henley House has been excellent. She has a lovely room with a great view over the Suffolk countryside. As a new, purpose-built residence the facilities are excellent and well-maintained. Staff are very friendly, helpful and approachable, and they respect that this is the resident’s home. They also have a good understanding of the specific issues relating to dementia care. Administrative matters were addressed efficiently, with minimal bureaucracy.

Our mum moved to Henley House in August 2021 so that she could live closer to her family.
We have had Covid to deal with but the care that she has received has been excellent.
It’s always bad when rules relating to Covid are enforced but we know that mums health must come first and we like many have to work around this.
The home is lovely and very comfortable and I’m told that the quality and variety of food is very good. They even gave the odd wine.
Although she is switched on she is wheelchair-bound but receives care around the clock.
She likes the activities that are organised.

All in all a lovely place.

Lovely home but unfortunately there never seems to be enough staff. Although those that are working work very hard.

Very disappointed with the care my mother received in the seven weeks she was there before she died in July 2021. I explained fully my mother's needs before she became a resident and felt these were not communicated to the staff looking after her. The home was very short-staffed, especially at weekends. Agency staff were used and this meant no consistency in her care needs.

Reply from Donna Mills, Interim Home Manager at Henley House

Thank you for your review. We take matters of dissatisfaction very seriously and we thank you for the opportunity you gave us at the time you raised your concerns to discuss these matters face-to-face.

Due to unprecedented times, agency staff were recruited by Henley House to support the care...

The home is welcoming in appearance and, being new, an impressive building and grounds. The reception staff were friendly and accommodating as usual and also professional. All staff I came into contact with were friendly and personable. My father was treated with courtesy and dignity and I felt that he was comfortable and very well looked after. An excellent care home.

With mum and our stepdad having to be cared for more than we could manage ourselves we are absolutely delighted that we discovered Henley House. From the first meeting of ourselves and your wonderful family liaison manager to all the staff in what can only be described as a first-class home. My wife and I are extremely happy in the knowledge that not only have we done the right thing for them both but they will get the loving care they both deserve. Thank you all.

My father was cared for at Henley House for 25-months. In that time, the staff became Dad's family, and ours. When lockdown came, I missed both Dad and Dad's other family! We were always treated like family members. I never saw anything on my many visits that made me question anything, with any of the residents, that I was uncomfortable with. Dad was always smart, clean and given autonomy on what he wanted to do. He was treated with the utmost respect, and since his passing, in February 2021, dealing with staff and management has been lovely, friendly and professional. We have been invited to visit for a cup of tea when restriction lift and very much look forward to catching up with everyone.
