Bridge of Weir Care Home, part of the Morar Living group, is beautifully situated beside the River Gryffe in the heart of Bridge of Weir. The home provides a warm and welcoming setting where people can feel truly at hame while continuing to live life in a way that reflects who they are.

Life within the home is built around the individual. Each resident is recognised as a person first, with their own story, routines, preferences and aspirations. Care and support are thoughtfully tailored, encouraging independence, dignity and choice in everyday life. Time is taken to understand what matters most, ensuring residents remain involved in decisions about their care and daily living.

The home has been designed to create a calm, homely atmosphere. Smaller living areas offer quiet, comfortable spaces where meaningful relationships can grow. Residents benefit from private bedrooms with en-suite wet rooms, supporting privacy and comfort, while assisted bathrooms are available for those who enjoy a relaxing bath.

Shared spaces include a cinema room, private dining area, day diner, resident kitchen and servery areas, quiet lounges and an on-site hairdressing salon. A welcoming café and piano bar provide relaxed places to enjoy refreshments and a blether with family and friends.

Enclosed gardens offer safe outdoor areas where residents can move freely and enjoy fresh air throughout the seasons.

To help people stay connected to their community, the home has its own air-conditioned Mercedes vehicle with wheelchair access, supporting outings, appointments, day trips or simply going out for a coffee.

Bridge of Weir Care Home is, above all, a place where residents’ voices are heard, identities are respected, and each person is supported to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The care my mother has received at Morar’s Bridge of Weir Hotel, sorry, Home, confounds the impressions one has of care facilities.

Compassionate, attentive, never rushed, and deeply sympathetic to the needs of family members and friends, the team behind this home are real people who care.

The

setting is nice, the village a nice distraction, and the location is great for the airport and the city beyond.

A real home.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.628) out of 10 for Bridge of Weir is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.653 for Bridge of Weir is calculated as follows: ( (209 Excellents x 5) + (29 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (13 Poors x 2) + (3 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 259 Ratings = 4.653
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bridge of Weir is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 74 registered maximum number of service users is 14.8, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
