I have lived in the care home since April 2022. I was attracted by the location - nearby high st, parks. I am reasonably mobile and need less help than many residents. When I have needed help I have found the staff efficient.

I came into Barnet Grange Care Home because my husband had been ill for a long time and I was finding it difficult to give him the care he needed. It was one of very few homes that would enable a couple to live together.
My husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer and he was given excellent, tender, end of life care.
After he died I fell into a terrible depression: we had been married for 62 years and the loss was devastating. Again sensitive supportive care was provided, not just for me but also for my daughter.
The ethos of the home is a blend of health care & hospitality, which creates a very welcoming environment from the moment you enter the home. The receptionists provide a concierge style service & refreshments are freely available in the lounge area.

Residents are all greeted by name. There are monthly metings to discuss general matters & activities. Security is good & the home feels safe.

Very friendly atmosphere - all staff are very friendly and know my dad's name and take time to chat to him.
Very comfortable rooms and great meals, even with a glass of wine.
Plenty of activities to participate in.
Thoughtful and efficient management.

All in all, an excellent residential/care home.

I am delighted and describe my feelings about BGCH. It has exceeded all my expectations. The building is well organised with plenty of space. The rooms are comfortable. I would prefer a lock on my bedroom door but understand the absence. The staff are very encouraging with regard to exercise. I would like to repeat the experience. Best wishes and thanks to everyone.

You never know what to expect when you take a loved one to a care home. In fact, some pretty dreadful images come to my mind with the words "care home". These images & fears couldn't be further from the truth with Barnet Grange. The place feels like a 5* hotel. However, it's not just appearances that are 5*, so is the super responsive & friendly management & staff who show real and genuine care and kindness to our Mum. Thank you so much!

My mother has been for respite care and now both my parents are residents at Barnet Grange. They are settling in so well. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. All the staff have smiles on their faces. Their surroundings, from their spacious accommodation to the beautiful, peaceful garden, is of the highest quality.

Their care is individual, attentive yet discreet. The food is delicious and there are plenty of activities for them to try. It is a pleasure to know that my parents are being so well looked after. I wholeheartedly recommend Barnet Grange to anyone seeking a top quality care home.

Barnet Grange Care Home offers an exceptionally high level of care for the elderly and is admirably unique within its sector. All staff are polite, considerate, friendly, helpful and respectful. The management team are simply superb, which is hugely reassuring. The nursing staff lead by Sarah and her team, are both excellent and completely professional.
The home is extremely well designed to cater for all residents needs and the accommodation is terrific. Barnet Grange is enhanced by its lovely garden, which is truly an asset, being perfectly tranquil. The facilities are first class and the activity plan is comprehensive.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Barnet Grange, as in my opinion, it is unparalleled!

My husband was a resident for one week for respite care.
Very welcoming, caring staff, always friendly.
Had one issue;
I had a telephone call from a nurse asking for a medication to be sent in. It was not appropriate as I was away and the medication could be bought over the counter. I did bring this up on my return and was agreed it was not correct. I feel these sorts of issues need to be addressed.

The admission lady was absolutely amazing, very helpful and caring as were the staff at the desk.
