I am delighted and describe my feelings about BGCH. It has exceeded all my expectations. The building is well organised with plenty of space. The rooms are comfortable. I would prefer a lock on my bedroom door but understand the absence. The staff are very encouraging with regard to exercise. I would

You never know what to expect when you take a loved one to a care home. In fact, some pretty dreadful images come to my mind with the words "care home". These images & fears couldn't be further from the truth with Barnet Grange. The place feels like a 5* hotel. However, it's not just appearances that
are 5*, so is the super responsive & friendly management & staff who show real and genuine care and kindness to our Mum. Thank you so much!

My mother has been for respite care and now both my parents are residents at Barnet Grange. They are settling in so well. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. All the staff have smiles on their faces. Their surroundings, from their spacious accommodation to the beautiful, peaceful garden, is of the
highest quality.
Their care is individual, attentive yet discreet. The food is delicious and there are plenty of activities for them to try. It is a pleasure to know that my parents are being so well looked after. I wholeheartedly recommend Barnet Grange to anyone seeking a top quality care home.

Barnet Grange Care Home offers an exceptionally high level of care for the elderly and is admirably unique within its sector. All staff are polite, considerate, friendly, helpful and respectful. The management team are simply superb, which is hugely reassuring. The nursing staff lead by Sarah and her
team, are both excellent and completely professional.
The home is extremely well designed to cater for all residents needs and the accommodation is terrific. Barnet Grange is enhanced by its lovely garden, which is truly an asset, being perfectly tranquil. The facilities are first class and the activity plan is comprehensive.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Barnet Grange, as in my opinion, it is unparalleled!

Barnet Grange Care Home is very welcoming. All staff are courteous, efficient and helpful, from reception throughout the entire complex. Visitors could not ask for or expect anymore!
The two residents I come to visit are so well looked after, they are super comfortable, I come happy to see them and
leave happy having seen them, knowing they are super comfortable. Excellent facilities.

My husband was in Barnet Grange for 4 weeks recovering from surgery.
He was well looked after and the staff were caring.
The nursing needs some improvement but the other staff were competent.
The activities were well thought out and the food was good.

My husband was a resident for one week for respite care.
Very welcoming, caring staff, always friendly.
Had one issue;
I had a telephone call from a nurse asking for a medication to be sent in. It was not appropriate as I was away and the medication could be bought over the counter. I did bring this
up on my return and was agreed it was not correct. I feel these sorts of issues need to be addressed.
The admission lady was absolutely amazing, very helpful and caring as were the staff at the desk.

So much good is ruined by poor food, high in fat and sugar and low in protein. Quality meat only Sundays otherwise cheapest varieties. Dishes served frequently do not resemble the written menu. Last week's Turkey Escalope was 3 small 1/4 in thick sliced chunks of tasteless meat in gravy. Meat Pie was
4 bite-sized chunks of meat, all bulked up with sauces. This problem applies throughout. I, and others, buy food to supplement meals. Luxury living paid for but not delivered. Lunch is better than dinner or high tea.
If catering was the same quality as the building and staff, it would be ideal and value for money.
At present, I am judging as a resident suffering from old age, not just yet an invalid. I would appreciate more feedback results of frequent blood tests if possible.
