Lisbeth Nursing Home

My late grandfather was transferred to Lisbeth from another home at the end of July due to his care needs becoming complex. From the moment he went into their care the care he received was exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble for anybody and he was treated with dignity and respect right up until the very end. I could not have wished for better care for him during his final few weeks. the staff are among the friendliest I have ever met and I was extremely comforted in the fact my grandad was so well looked after.

My mom went into Lisbeth House early February 2024 and sadly passed away there last week. I am so glad that my mom spent the final months of her life in Lisbeth House, the staff were amazing with her from day 1, even the catering and cleaning staff would go and say good morning, have a joke with her and generally brighten her day. The care and compassion throughout her time with them was exemplary. Plenty of activities for residents to get involved with and clean bright lounges where they could spend time or sit with relatives when they visited. At the end, my mom and us as a family received GENUINE care from every single member of the team that we came into contact with. We cannot thank the team at Lisbeth House enough for the love and support shown during what was a very difficult time.

My mother is well cared for in a safe, caring environment. All staff friendly, helpful and attentive. I would highly recommend this home.

After two previous care homes, we moved our mom into Lisbeth Nursing Home just over one year ago, honestly it was the best thing we did, this home is just what we wanted for Mom, excellent standards of care and management. The home is always lovely and clean and the laundry very well organised. My mother is very happy and very well looked after, I would highly recommend Lisbeth.

Excellent care home with friendly staff. They all take excellent care of my mother. Her medication and behaviour is regularly reviewed. Dignity is at the heart of everything they do at Lisbeth Nursing Home. They include my father (who is not a resident) in the Lisbeth family, allowing their relationship to be maintained.

Dad's stay was to enable an assessment of his needs for a move from independent living to permanent care home. The nursing home environment was not suited to Dad's needs however the staff and management were excellent, respectful, resident-orientated and showed genuine care and consideration during his temporary stay. The staff were open, supportive and approachable, engaging well with our family and keeping us informed. Thanks to everyone at Lisbeth.

I spent six months in Lisbeth Nursing Home and from the outset was treated with absolute dignity and respect by all staff. As a paraplegic with a grade 4 pressure sore my needs were very complex but everyone worked together to ensure my full recovery before returning home. The building is clean, modern and inviting. The staff are cheerful and above all knowledgeable. The catering staff went above and beyond to provide my dietary requirements. Although I was bedbound for the majority of my stay I got the impression that it was a happy place to be for everyone.

My dad went into Lisbeth Nursing Home February 2022. As a family we looked around many homes but from the moment we stepped inside Lisbeth House we knew it was the right home for Dad. It was difficult when we left Dad for the first time, but the staff reassured us and Dad soon settled with his new family at Lisbeth House. Dad's care was outstanding, all staff showed dignity and love. Dad was also allowed his independence and was encouraged to carry out his daily activities with support when needed. When Dad approached end of life, we as Dad’s family, were supported and were informed every step of the way on Dad’s treatment. I would not hesitate to recommend Lisbeth House. All the staff knew Dad inside and out and recognised Dad’s character. The management team and all the staff are amazing. Dad sadly passed away March 2024 but Dad was given so much love and care and without a doubt, we chose the best home for dad to spend his final years.

We felt that the staff tried hard to make Mum's final days comfortable and dignified and made a difficult time for us easier.

Overall, my and my family are happy with the first-class care our mother receives.

Very clean and Mom's hair always looks washed. Food seems good too.

Mom was transferred from Hospital to Lisbeth for end-of-life care, and like many families, we didn’t know if mom would settle and would want to come home. It was clear within a few days we had made the right choice, the staff were so warm and welcoming to her that she felt at home, she was so poorly but knew she was being treated with great care and dignity. As a family, we were treated with the utmost care and respect, nothing we requested for mom was too much trouble and all the staff were so sympathetic knowing mom would not be with us for long. She wasn’t at Lisbeth very long but we, as a family, would not hesitate in recommending the home for anyone's loved one. It is kept at a very high standard of cleanliness and friendliness from all the team. Thank you all so much for making Moms and our family's time with you such a warm one.
