Overall Experience

My experience of Meadows Park Care Home from the first telephone call and the first visit to the last has been nothing but outstanding. The staff dealing with me have listened, understood, and showed empathy, perseverance, helpfulness and kindness throughout. Sadly my husband passed away only a short time into their care but I believe he was always treated with dignity and respect. Requests that were personal to him were accommodated. Family and friends were always made welcome at any time. Communication between myself and the staff was excellent as being kept informed was very important to me. A beautiful care home with wonderful staff.

The staff and the home were fantastic, caring and helpful throughout my grandma's time at Meadows Park Care Home and any requests and queries were answered straight away.
The staff were so lovely and when my grandmother's health began to deteriorate, we were unsure if she would be able to come to my wedding, the staff decorated a room and baked us a cake so we could host a faux wedding so she could be included. Nothing was ever too much trouble and my grandma received the best possible care we could ask for.

Would highly recommend it to anyone looking to care for a loved one.

My mother has been attending day care at Meadows Park for some time. She comes out happy and engaged. She has had a couple of stays in respite when we have been away and has been extremely well cared for. Due to changes in her medical conditions, we have decided to put her into long-term respite here, with the confidence that she is happy in the home. The staff really could not do more for her and are unfailingly smiling and attentive. They have shown me incredible empathy too whilst I have been navigating a difficult time.

We were so thankful to find this wonderfully caring and compassionate home for our mum. She was a dementia sufferer and once she became a widow deteriorated quickly. We, fortunately, became aware of Meadows Park and she moved in there. It was the best thing we could have done, and we will be forever grateful. Words cannot express how wonderful and caring all the staff were and the excellent care they provided.

Mum was at Meadows Park from February until October when she sadly passed away. During that time we visited the home many times and was always impressed by the quality of the care home, always clean modern and welcoming, but much more importantly the staff.
Mum was incredibly well looked after and the care and compassion from all the staff was simply outstanding.

I don't think we could ever have found a better place for our Mum to spend her last few months.

The staff were kind and friendly. Welcomed my parents and made their first experience in a care home setting, very enjoyable. Both parents enjoyed the food and choices they were given. All communal areas were clean, tidy and fresh. Would highly recommend.

My mum was a resident at Meadows Park from February 2022 until October 2022 when she sadly passed away. During her stay, she was incredibly well looked after. We had no doubts the she was in excellent and safe hands at all times. The home is run as close to a 'home from home 'experience as you could wish for. The staff truly bring about a family atmosphere. I visited my mum nearly every day and got to know the staff and the other residents very well. During my mum's decline, they could not help her enough and the support and comfort offered to me in her last few days could not have been better. Mum suffered from dementia and the staff have so much patience, often in trying circumstances, I really can't praise them enough. It was so comforting to know that Mum was somewhere where the staff genuinely cared about her and their other residents. Thank you.

After 5 months of battling against inept social services and a very disinterested NHS, I managed to place Mother in Meadows Park in Aug 2022 despite requiring additional oxygen (COPD). Unfortunately, Mum died in September but her time in Meadows Park was the most calm and settled Mum had been for ages. In fact, she settled very quickly unlike her numerous moves whilst in the hospital system. The home and professional staff were 5 star, and Mum was treated with respect and dignity, something I thought the NHS failed to do. Mum had dementia but the NHS would not listen to me (so no diagnosis), but the care home did and provided the respect and care she deserved. She was always dressed smartly, and ate better than any hospital stay. I am grateful for the little time she had here, passing peacefully with dignity. It provided me with some quality time with my mum.

My only regret is not doing this sooner, something I never thought I would have to experience.

I just thought I ought to say something about my mother's care, we had been unhappy with the care she received in a previous home and we were assured by the management here that they would offer considerably better care, I am pleased to say they have lived up to their word. My mother is happier, I feel the staff are much more involved and are making life better for her. Her care and appearance have also improved. The staff are always friendly and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble.

Meadow Park Care Home is definitely a five-star in my book.

My dad was a resident in Meadows Park Care Home for about 6 weeks. 5 stars is not enough. The home itself is beautiful, great facilities and the rooms are amazing. The real treasures in this home are the staff, each and everyone go out of their way to make the residents welcome. They really care, from the housekeepers to the managers. They one and all held my hand through the hardest time. They are fantastic. I even stayed there while my dad was at the end of life, they could not do enough for me. If you are looking for a home for a family member pick this one, you will not be sorry. Thank you to everyone working here for your care compassion and kindness.

Having cared for my wife for six years, a recent illness progressed her dementia to a point where her already demanding care needs changed and permanent residence in a care home became a necessity. The manager and her team at Meadows Park provided a caring, professional introduction at an extremely emotional and stressful time. They remain superbly committed to high standards in everything they do and the ways in which they work tirelessly and skillfully as a team to provide a happy and safe environment for residents is impressive.

My father has been in Meadows Park for almost a month and the fabulous staff and surroundings have made a very difficult time in our family’s life a much easier transition. The home is a bespoke building beautifully furnished, my fathers room has a patio door out onto a lovely garden area and everything you would expect in a modern and comfortable bedroom. The staff have always been very helpful, attentive and informative from our very first contact and we cannot fault the way they’ve looked after both Dad and the family during this very stressful time.

In our hour of need, rushed after being let down by another venue, staff ar Meadows Park couldn't have been more supportive. Friendly and knowledgeable, they showed us around their amazing facilities and venue. Clean and homely, not like a care home, it's like a hotel! We were not rushed, we were individuals and felt like the priority.

Everything has been easy, they even labelled clothes for Mother-In-Law and offered us support and advice when we asked. We hear about how fun activities are and how good food is - a very happy family.

Overall Experience
My sisters and I have been overwhelmed at the care and consideration that Mum has experienced from everyone working in the home since she arrived from a difficult week in hospital just over two weeks ago.
Each day we have noticed her making a little progress, eating better, getting stronger and a bit more mobile.
It's early days but Mum is starting to interact well with both the staff and the other residents who are very friendly. The home is spacious and clean. The staff make an effort at all levels, even on the little things like different tablecloths and decorations to celebrate Valentine's day.

It's always a big decision to put someone into a home. But we feel that we have found the right place where Mum is safe, will be well looked after and, hopefully, as happy as she can be.

Lovely room. All staff are very helpful and patient with my sister who has quite a lot of medication and is very assertive. She was feeling very anxious on arrival and quite poorly. She became so much better and, after only 3 days, she was like a different person. She got her confidence back and was eating well. It was one week's respite, but she will be back for more. As a family, my brother and I were so relieved that we have found a perfect care home for all my sister's needs.

My mother has been resident in Meadows Park Care Home for just over a month and from our initial enquiries up to the present day all staff members have been most welcoming and courteous.
What could have been a very stressful time for mother and the immediate family was made less so by the care and attention to detail demonstrated by the staff.
Having lived alone she is now relishing the company of others on a daily basis and having the opportunity to partake in planned activities should she wish to.

We are appreciative of being involved in any decisions regarding changes to her care and medication and are very happy that any concerns by the staff are promptly raised with us.
