It was very difficult having to put our mother into a care home. There were no rooms in the home closest to us but we are all very happy with Louth Manor Care Home. The home is very clean and has a very homely feel. The residents are treated with dignity and respect and even the relatives are made to feel as if they are part of an extended family. All of the staff (irrespective of their role) are wonderful and try their best for the residents.
They may not get everything right all of the time but they do try.

Unfortunately, our mother does not often participate in activities.

I am really happy with the care my husband receives at Louth Manor. The team is excellent, and management is very hands-on and always available. The environment is first class - comfortable rooms, beautiful lounges and lovely outside space. My husband is very settled, and I can relax knowing he is in very safe and caring hands.

My father went into full-time care last June with dementia/Alzheimer's. The staff are amazing, and we cannot fault anything. The home itself is very high quality (more like a hotel feel). I love the fact that there are no closed doors - we are free to visit him whenever we want, unlike some other care homes where you have to make an appointment. We know he is being very well looked after, and I would definitely recommend Louth Manor with no hesitation.

Moved my father here after severe declining standards in his previous care home. Though I appreciate this is a new home and standards should be good so as to promote the home itself the difference is just amazing. I cannot praise the standard of care and staff enough. Please may this continue.

Louth Manor Care Home the management and all the staff provide an excellent service. It really is a cruise ship that doesn't sail. The care and support my wife received during her respite stay could not have been bettered, she considered all the staff her friends. I had no concerns about leaving her there while I took a holiday. I wish to give a huge thank you to all the staff on behalf of myself and my family.

Meet the Team (1)

Lucy Blackburn
Lucy BlackburnJob Title:Registered Manager

I joined Care UK through a transfer from another care provider and am proud to continue leading the team here at Louth Manor. I have completed all mandatory training, and I’m close to finishing my Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care.

Organisation, teamwork and problem-solving are central to how I work, and I always aim to ensure tasks and actions are completed to the highest standard by the end of each day.

I believe the most important qualities for a Home Manager are understanding, approachability and the ability to lead by example. At Louth Manor, I strive to be present, supportive and accountable every day, whether that’s guiding my team, offering emotional support, or spending meaningful time with residents. My favourite moments are the interactions with residents, seeing them happy, settled and enjoying life in our home.

My biggest career highlight so far has been managing my first home and achieving a “Good” rating in all areas from the Care Quality Commission. I also take great pride in supporting colleagues to progress in their careers, just as I have.

Outside of work, I enjoy dog walking, shopping, family time, cinema trips and holidays.
