Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We visited a friend who we hadn't seen for 3 years and from the moment of contact via email to arrange everything, we were dealt with utter professionalism and compassion. When we arrived, we were greeted by name and again with such professionalism and thorough care. We were amazed at everything we
experienced during our time at the home. It is beautiful and every member of staff treated us with such kindness. It is clear our friend could not be in a better place.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I booked myself into the Montague House Care Home in Brampton for four weeks of respite care following a replacement hip operation.
I received such marvellous care which I am sure helped towards my recovery and enabled me to return home after 4 weeks and look after myself.
I cannot speak highly enough
of the dedication and patience of all the staff.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My brother has settled in really well. He has many mood swings sometimes when we are visiting but the staff are brilliant and calm him down and they are all very friendly to him. If the home has a problem with my brother, they inform us and the problem is solved very quickly. I couldn't think of a better
place for my brother to be and feel really at ease knowing that he is safe and being well looked after.

Review from D M (Husband of Resident) published on 21 March 2022 Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My review relating to our experience of Montague House is based on a limited period of six weeks that my wife has been a resident.
I have no experience of care homes, my wife had only resided in one other for approximately six months on a part-time/full-time basis, prior to coming to Montague House.
What
I can say with certainty is that Montague House has fulfilled and exceeded my expectations. Not only are the facilities wonderful but the staff equally talented.
It's been a massive relief to see my wife so well cared for and so happy whenever I visit.
I would thoroughly recommend their approach to residential care and commend them for the effort and kindness that they have shown us.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My experience has been excellent, after a small problem at the beginning everyone is very attentive and nothing is too much trouble.
Everyone here is very patient with all the residents. Variety of food and quality are good mostly homemade pies, cakes and puddings etc. Activities are varied and interesting.
I will return here when I have another knee operation next year, if I am able to do so.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.767)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.767) out of 10 for Montague House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 29 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.767 for Montague House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (286 Excellents x 5) + (41 Goods x 4) + (12 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (3 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 343 Ratings = 4.767
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Montague House Care Home is based on 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 registered maximum number of service users is 14, which has been reached with 28 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
