This is a fantastic home! We worked hard to keep Mum at home and had to get her into a care home when her health got too much to manage at home. She's thriving. We never thought she'd walk again after her hospital stay or be able to say a few words and now she does both. It's in small bursts, but it's there. It doesn't matter what time we visit, she's clean, well-dressed and comfortable. Thank you for all you are doing!

My mum is very happy here. Since coming here she has gained some strength and with help and encouragement, she is beginning to walk again. She has also begun to say a few words and is very responsive to us. We can't thank you enough

Wonderful, caring staff at Montague House. Mum has lots of positive and well-run activities that have transformed her life. In very difficult circumstances with care needs, we all have positivity back. The facilities are smart, modern and cosy too. It feels like a real home.

From my first contact with Montague House Care Home. The staff have been amazing, they have been efficient as well as caring and understanding. My mother has received wonderful care whilst she has been at the home, which has meant her recovery from a serious fall has been so much quicker. The thing I want to thank the staff at Montague House Care Home, especially for is their support for me as a carer, they have taken time to speak to me as a carer and they have taken time to speak to me to check I am okay as well.

Mum loves being here and I'm very happy with the care that the staff give her. The only slight negative is that sometimes the communication could be better - particularly when COVID restrictions are added and removed.

5 members of staff have been particularly lovely, they are all very supportive and find time to reassure us.

We visited a friend who we hadn't seen for 3 years and from the moment of contact via email to arrange everything, we were dealt with utter professionalism and compassion. When we arrived, we were greeted by name and again with such professionalism and thorough care. We were amazed at everything we experienced during our time at the home. It is beautiful and every member of staff treated us with such kindness. It is clear our friend could not be in a better place.

I booked myself into the Montague House Care Home in Brampton for four weeks of respite care following a replacement hip operation.
I received such marvellous care which I am sure helped towards my recovery and enabled me to return home after 4 weeks and look after myself.

I cannot speak highly enough of the dedication and patience of all the staff.

My brother has settled in really well. He has many mood swings sometimes when we are visiting but the staff are brilliant and calm him down and they are all very friendly to him. If the home has a problem with my brother, they inform us and the problem is solved very quickly. I couldn't think of a better place for my brother to be and feel really at ease knowing that he is safe and being well looked after.

Review from D M (Husband of Resident) published on 21 March 2022 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
My review relating to our experience of Montague House is based on a limited period of six weeks that my wife has been a resident.
I have no experience of care homes, my wife had only resided in one other for approximately six months on a part-time/full-time basis, prior to coming to Montague House.
What I can say with certainty is that Montague House has fulfilled and exceeded my expectations. Not only are the facilities wonderful but the staff equally talented.
It's been a massive relief to see my wife so well cared for and so happy whenever I visit.

I would thoroughly recommend their approach to residential care and commend them for the effort and kindness that they have shown us.

My experience has been excellent, after a small problem at the beginning everyone is very attentive and nothing is too much trouble.

Everyone here is very patient with all the residents. Variety of food and quality are good mostly homemade pies, cakes and puddings etc. Activities are varied and interesting. I will return here when I have another knee operation next year, if I am able to do so.
