My sister joined Belong this year. I cannot praise the care, staff and facilities enough. Her general mood and well-being have changed dramatically. She is happy and loves the company and joins in all activities. It has been a huge relief to us as a family knowing we have chosen the right place for her. She couldn't be in a better place.
Thank you for your positive feedback on the support provided at Belong Chester. We do our best to understand every customer and it is a pleasure to have your sister living with us. We are delighted that it is a huge relief to you all as a family knowing you have chosen the right place.
We've come back to the country, after 20-plus years abroad, and have found Belong Chester. We feel very privileged to have made a home here, and experience all the facilities you offer. We have received such wonderful care, both within the households and now the apartments. I'd like to thank both management and staff for the such wonderful support, nothing is too much trouble, and if in need, it's at hand. So thank you once again Belong Chester, for being so supportive of us all! and thank you for such a lovely Christmas, and looking forward to all we have here for the new year. Love to you all.

My dad moved into a household a few months ago. He is well looked after, from the meals he receives to the daily help he requires. The staff are all friendly and supportive. Activities and regular exercise are on offer if you want to join in. Dad has flourished here and in his own words, nowhere could beat it and he couldn't be looked after any better. The rooms and furniture are all modern and bright but with a homely feel. The residents interact with the children's nursery which is on-site and it makes my dad's day as the children all know him by name.
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. Our team work really hard to ensure a friendly, homely and welcoming environment. My husband has been in Belong Chester nursing home since the 7th of September. I can only praise the home. We were made very welcome on arrival and every time we visit. The staff are very kind and nothing seems too much for them to make my husband safe and happy. Plenty of lovely food and facilities are next to none, and plenty of entertainment to keep my husband occupied. Belong Chester is a lovely home. I know my husband is being well looked after and he is very happy here.

Our mum has been here for a month now in one of the 12-bed households and has settled in really well, despite her challenges. The staff are all knowledgeable and delightful, and the household is a very happy place. The household set-up suits Mum very well as she can be part of everyday life here. Most of their food is prepped and cooked in the household, so she can really join in at meal times. The residents have access to a range of high-quality facilities and activities and are encouraged to join in together. We can get regular updates, and the staff clearly know and understand Mum's needs. The city centre location is ideal for family and friends to visit and for taking Mum out for little trips and walks. The management has been informative, supportive and communicative.

Mum moved to Belong Chester this month from another care home and she has been made to feel very welcome to the household and the other residents. Belong is very well equipped and has super facilities on offer, and the household is warm and friendly. It is in a great location on City Road, right on the canal, so plenty of opportunity for people watching from the balcony. The staff and management team have all been great - flexible and really easy to talk to and work with, and they take time for Mum on an individual level (as well as group activities), including taking her out for walks and shopping when they can. That Belong is a not-for-profit organisation makes me feel so much more comfortable as the fees are being spent on looking after the residents rather than going to shareholders.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of Belong Chester. We are so touched by your kind words and are delighted that our team are warm and friendly and taking good care of your mum. We will make sure your comments are shared with everyone.
The organisation delivers outstanding homes and care at highly competitive prices.

Meet the Team (5)

Caroline has led the team at Belong Chester since 2024, having proven her credentials in the registered manager role at Belong Crewe and Belong Macclesfield.
She is a dedicated and passionate care professional who is qualified as a nurse and holds extensive social care and training qualifications, as well as the NVQ level 5 in management. Her experience spans working as a staff nurse in the health authority and then moving to social services, where she managed staff in supported tenancies to enable people to live in their own homes. This service provided support to people with varying levels of need, including people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, dementia, mental health issues and those needing end-of-life care.

Chloe Wynn, who has been recognised regionally for her expertise in dementia care, has been appointed support manager with responsibility for managing the village’s specialist ‘household teams’, ensuring they provide the highest standards of nursing and dementia care 24 hours a day.
Since starting her career with Belong in 2011, Chloe has been shortlisted twice at the prestigious Great North West Care Awards and has completed qualifications in leadership, health and social care to rise through the ranks from household assistant to lead senior support worker across Belong's various village locations.

Front of House Manager, Sarah Miotti, will head up the village administration and reception teams, and ensure the highest levels of customer service, while also overseeing the smooth running of the village behind the scenes.
Sarah joins Premier Homecare in North Wales, where she worked for six years, most recently as Care Manager. Prior to that, she was Front House Manager for Macdonald hotels in Chester after a career spanning over 20 years working in a range of front-of-house and events roles in the hospitality industry.

Karen is a highly experienced and qualified nurse, with almost three decades of experience in health and social care, including patient care, managing clinical audits and running patient trials.
She has worked as a Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Deputy Ward Manager at the Countess of Chester and made the switch to a care home setting in order to have more hands-on time caring for people. This blend of experience and outlook makes her ideally placed to lead the nursing team at Belong Chester, maintaining a customer-first approach while bringing both her management and clinical decision-making skills to bear.

As Team Leader for Belong at Home Chester, Heather has been instrumental in growing its home care service since the opening of the new village.
She made the switch from working in retail management in February 2017 when she moved from her home town in Birkenhead, Merseyside, to Atherton, Greater Manchester.
With a passion for supporting others, she was quickly promoted to senior care roles, initially in a care home setting and then later working out in the community.
She joined Belong at Home Atherton early in 2022 and then took up the post in Chester as the home care service was launched following the opening of Belong’s newest care village in the city later that year.
With responsibility for the recruitment of colleagues and managing the provision of outstanding customer care, Heather is a dedicated and hard-working individual who has made a big impact in a short space of time.
