My father stayed for 2.5 weeks respite.

I had major anxieties about dad having respite care because of a previous terrible experience in a different home 18 months previously. However I should not have worried at all.

The care that dad received at Belong was exemplary. All the staff are incredibly caring, attentive to all details, took careful notes and really listened to dad's care needs, the things that really matter to him personally, and carried them to the letter.

The whole feeling of Belong, Crewe is one of being a family and homeliness. Nothing is too much trouble, and his transition to their care was seamless. Dad really enjoyed all the fuss and attention he received from the staff, and they seemed to really love him being there too. He absolutely thrived in their care. It is also a wonderful place for visitors too, with the lovely cafe downstairs and nice options to spend time with your loved ones.

I cannot rate Belong Crewe highly enough

I have enjoyed my weeks here and met a lot of staff who have been most helpful to me. I have experienced their care towards patients who can be tricky and nothing is too much of a problem.

As summarised by my ratings in living here has been excellent. The exercise sessions have been particularly enjoyable and beneficial. Fellow residents make good company, while the staff are all friendly and highly efficient.

Lizzie and all the wonderful team at Cedar House have treated my dad, Keith, with such dignity, respect and love during his final days.

The care, kindness and compassion they have shown Keith, and our whole family, has meant more than words can truly express. They have made an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time a little easier by ensuring Dad was comfortable, cared for and surrounded by warmth and kindness.

Knowing that Dad was in such caring hands gave us comfort when we needed it most. Every member of the team has shown genuine compassion and treated Dad not just as a resident, but as a person who mattered.

Thank you, Lizzie, and everyone at Cedar House, for everything you have done for Keith and for our family. We will always be grateful for the dignity, respect and love you gave him in his final days.

There is regular Village/ household meetings which gives families and friends opportunities to raise any issues they may be concerned about .. .. these are listened to and acted upon which is very reassuring!

She is happier, less anxious and always busy and we get to enjoy being mother and daughter again.

We as a family are now happy that when the time comes, my Nan will be made to feel right at home.

After a short stay in hospital in April 2026 Mum needed to be placed into Palliative Care. Mum already lived at Belong and, luckily for us as a family, a room became available on one of the households. The end of life care that mum received was truly amazing. We were able to be by her side as much as possible with very little restrictions. I personally was there at the very end of mum's life, with my daughter, holding her hand. I witnessed the staff treat mum with such dignity and respect until the very end of her life and also cared for her after her death. I feel humbled and very privileged to have had the experience and it is one that I will never forget. Every single staff member at Belong Wigan, from the very beginning to the very end, you were all truly amazing - thank you to every single one of you. Her family really cannot thank you enough for the love care & support shown to mum from the moment she started living there independently in 2023 until her final breath.

The staff makes this place tick. They are very good very caring.

Taken very good care of John for the time he has been here, very polite and helpful, has being up to date with telephone calls, whenever he has had problems

Mums party yesterday for her 100th could not have been better for her, other service users, family and staff.Staff even gave there own time to make mums birthday special. A very BIG THANKYOU to you all.Gill Daughter of resident.

The Belong village is welcoming and friendly and really feels like a community

My mother was a resident on Laurel House from March 2026 till her death in August 2026. The level of care she received from all the staff was quite frankly exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and we were made to feel so welcome when we visited. As her condition deteriorated and she required nursing care this was delivered seemlessly and with total respect and professionalism. Myself and my family will be forever grateful to everyone on Laurel House for all care and kindness during those difficult few months.

We have had my mum in Belong for a little over a month after having a negative experience of dementia nursing care elsewhere. I can't begin to do justice to the difference. My mum has advanced mixed dementia and is physically limited, but the change in her demeanour and awareness has been remarkable, and I believe that is a testament to an elevation in care standards and an drastic improvement to her environment since moving. The staff are attentive, caring and responsive and operationally the facility is set up to approach things in a completely differently way to what I have seen on offer at other care homes. The variety of social areas, the localised meal preparation and laundry facilities, and the open plan living/kitchen/dining areas in combination with the mixed needs of residents on a household create a far less clinical and depressing environment than a dementia nursing ward. I feel lucky that Belong and the staff have become part of my mum's and our family's lives.

I cannot praise the management and staff highly enough for the care they give their residents. Everyone is friendly, approachable, and thoroughly professional.

Management are very helpful and easy to contact always keeping us informed of any issues.

Was not told that majority of service users have dementia. Given a very nice bedroom but on a floor where I am the only user not suffering from dementia. Am on a waiting list for a better room but there is no possibility of this happening. Go to another floor for evening meal but even there we 5 are well out numbered by dementia clients. One man keeps entering my room and tries to get into my bed!
