I wouldn't put my dog in there, the food was disgusting, my dads basic needs were not met. He wasn't clean, the room smelt of urine, he had no socks. Many times he had no hearing aids. They don't employ enough staff per resident. My dad lasted four months in there. What a sad ending to his life. He
looked like a tramp.

We are appalled to read these allegations, which do not reflect the reality reported by other family members and regular visitors, who have reported being very happy with your father's care. It is also not consistent with the experience of others in our community, as can be seen in the many other independent reviews shared on carehome.co.uk. It is of the utmost importance to us that everyone living in Belong is treated with the highest standards of care and we do not recognise the description here. We take seriously all concerns raised and would welcome the opportunity to discuss with you further, should you wish to get in touch.

My mum came to Belong in July 2024. It was a very challenging time for all and Tyldesley Household made the transition seamlessly.
Over the 11 months that mum was there, the care, love and support shown to her, and us as a family, was unconditional.
At the time of her passing they went above and beyond
for both her and us
It is a truly remarkable place and there are no words to cover how grateful we are.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this incredibly moving feedback. It was a privilege to support your mum and it is crucial to us that we make people's time with us as special and positive as possible. My mum came to Belong from another care home in April 2025. From the moment she arrived, she was made to feel welcome, as were her family. The staff are all fantastic and there are too many to mention here. Nothing is too much trouble for Mum and she is treated with care, dignity and respect. Her frequent
visitors are also made very welcome. They encourage her to interact with social activities in the home. The recent D-Day celebrations were absolutely brilliant, although my mum found the transition from living independently to going into a home a challenge. She now feels completely at home in Belong. Thank you.

My wife was a resident for 2 1/2 years until she passed away. Throughout her stay the care was excellent as were the facilities and activities, especially the musical events which not only did she thoroughly enjoy but was able to sing to some of the music and use words that otherwise she could not articulate.
If
the Bistro was open in the evening more families would probably eat there with their family.

Sadly Mum had been in 4 previous nursing homes when we finally managed to secure a place for her at Belong Atherton.
She only spent 6 weeks there until she sadly passed away but the care and compassion given to her in those weeks from all the staff but especially those on Chanters was amazing.
Belong
Atherton really do care about their residents and their families.
Thank you to everyone who looked after Mum, I really cannot thank you enough.

From the moment that mum started to attend the experience days 2 years ago, through her moving into a household a few months later and finally passing away recently, everyone at BMF have been amazing. From the beginning, the staff were friendly, approachable and able to answer all our questions. It
really felt as if our family had joined the BMF family. They facilitated mum's transition and helped her settle in. Throughout her stay, mum was really well cared for and supported to be herself. She gained confidence, made friends and engaged in new activities. Unfortunately she did have a couple of falls but each time she was supported to recover at her own pace and although her care was adapted as her needs increased, it was really important that she continued to be cared for by staff that she knew and trusted.
I would not hesitate to recommend BMF' to anyone looking for a holistic, caring and compassionate place to live.

I continue to have confidence that a high standard of care is being provided for my wife and that the environment inside and outside is being maintained to a high standard. A few key members of staff have moved on recently which is what happens over time but did impact on my confidence, although my
relationship with other staff is developing. I've engaged with the GP to reduce medication for my wife to offset undesirable side effects and this was achieved although I was surprised that the initiative had to come from me.

Reply from Carolyn Ball, General Manager at Belong Morris Feinmann

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback and for your positive ratings overall. We do appreciate that staffing changes can be unsettling, and we are working hard to ensure a successful transition while we bed in new colleagues. I would assure you that we insist upon high standards in all our recruitment processes to facilitate this and we will discuss with you further to address any other concerns. Thank you once again and we look forward to swiftly restoring your full confidence in the team.

My mum has been at Belong Morris Feinmann for over 3 years now, and going to Belong is the best decision we have ever made. Mum has dementia, but she is happy and content. It is extremely well -run and management are always available and always helpful. There are plenty of activities to keep the residents
stimulated. And the staff - certainly in my mum's case - I could not have asked for anything more; supportive, caring, friendly - they truly are fantastic.

My auntie moved into Belong March 24. The care team made her so very welcome and she loved her time here. Her carers 'loved' and cared for her with such dignity, they couldn't do enough for her and us as a family. They went over and beyond what I could only hope for. I would highly recommend Belong

My husband died recently after spending twenty two months as a resident. Until three months before his death, he took part in the many social activities offered including going on trips. His end of life care was excellent. There was always someone to sit with him and reassure him when he became anxious
as more and more time was spent in bed. The nursing care was excellent and towards the end, they were able to manage pain and agitation so that he was comfortable. All the staff also looked after my family and me finding time to listen and keep us in the picture. My husband was always treated with dignity and respect throughout his stay.

Mum spent 6 yrs in an Independent Apartment at Belong until a Stroke in 2023 when she moved into the Care home. She has spent the last 18 mths in 24/7 care until her passing recently.
The Building is modern and well equipped, it has every possible facility, and a vast array of activities to keep residents
engaged and entertained. The care my Mum received especially in the later stages of her life was 2nd to none, the staff are totally dedicated to the welfare and support of residents, building strong relationships, and becoming not just carers, but their best friends and confidants. They continually go above and beyond, even coming in on their days off when Mum was approaching the end of life to comfort her and us. I could not have asked for more for my Mum, she was in the best possible place for her needs, and such a loving and caring environment.
The Management are always available and responsive, and know each resident needs inside out.
Nowhere better in my opinion.

Belong Village, Wigan has provided faultless care to my mum since she moved into a household about six months ago. The 24/7 presence of the care staff is highly reassuring and every carer takes their responsibilities seriously, getting to know the residents individually by spending time with them to
understand and cater for each person's needs. The standard of care is very high and medical support is available if necessary in the form of onsite nursing staff. Fresh meals are produced three times a day within the household, to a high standard: all dietary needs are catered for and staff are flexible so Mum always gets food, even if she misses a mealtime. A convivial atmosphere is encouraged by the carers and Mum has made new friends and revived old connections since living at Belong Wigan, much to her benefit. A huge effort is put into the provision of meaningful and fun activities, including trips out in the minibus. I highly recommend this home and can't thank staff enough.

My auntie has been on Cedar Household for over a year now. We couldn't be happier with her care and without doubt, this is the best nursing care in our area.

When I and my relatives visited our resident, we were greeted with a pleasant welcome and whatever time, day or night we arrived.
We consider his care to be exemplary.
As well as his physical needs, his spiritual needs were attended to, resulting in him receiving the last sacrament from our priest
and thereby, assuring us of his place in heaven.

I needed one week respite at short notice following the sudden closure of the place where I normally go. I was so lucky to find this excellent nursing home that could accommodate me in Laurel House. I was a little nervous, with it being my first stay, but I need not have worried as the care and attention
I received from all the staff was second to none. I use a ceiling track hoist at home for transfers and here they used a very comfortable mobile hoist which was perfect.
I had a very spacious, modern room with a profile bed and air mattress. It also had a TV, fitted wardrobes, desk, cupboards and walk-in wet room.
Laurel House, like the other five 'houses' at Belong, only has eleven residents which made the lounge and dining area very cosy and homely.
The food was very good both in the 'house' and also in the bistro on the ground floor.
I really enjoyed my respite week and will definitely be going back in the near future. I would have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful place.
