After a long stay in hospital, Mum went into respite care at Belong. As a family we have found the care to be outstanding. The staff made Mum feel safe, cared for and treated her with the utmost respect and dignity throughout her stay. We are so grateful for the kindness, compassion, and professionalism shown by everyone. Thank you for making Such a difficult time much easier for mum and our family.
Thank you so much for this lovely review! It was a privilege to have your mum staying with us at Belong Crewe and the teams will be thrilled with your kind feedback.
Have been very happy with the home, the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. The only thing I can fault is the laundry, but a small price to pay!
Thank you for your positive feedback on the support provided at Belong Crewe. We work hard to constantly improve upon our services and our management team value your comments to ensure we continue to meet high standards.
Very pleased with services of the home. Great staff & very welcoming environment!
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. Our team work really hard to ensure a friendly, homely and welcoming environment. It means a great deal to our village team to know that this is appreciated.
The care given by the staff was, without exception, respectful, professional and full of love!
Prior to his full time care, my husband had attended the Experience Days for 3 days a week.
He loved going and the staff brought a sense of joy to his day. In both environments, I as his wife, was equally supported by the staff in the challenges of caring for someone with dementia.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this incredibly moving feedback. It was a privilege to support your husband and it is crucial to us that we make people's time with us as special and positive as possible. It will mean a great deal to our village and experience day teams to read your comments and I will ensure they are shared with everyone. Thanks again.
Mum is being treated with respect & dignity. She has settled into the home incredibly well. The staff seem to go out of their way to support her.
The home is set out into smaller households of up to 12 residents. The staff in the households tend to remain the same. It therefore has more of a family feel to it & i suspect is less overwhelming for new residents.
As a family we have also needed the support of senior Belong staff when dealing with social services. The staff at Belong have been incredibly helpful with this.
Thank you for your positive feedback on the support provided at Belong Crewe. We do our best to understand every customer and it is a pleasure to have your mum living with us. We'll make sure we pass on your feedback to the village team.
My mum Val has since the day she arrived at Belong Crewe been happy and singing the praises of the beautiful facility and its wonderful staff at every level.
I speak and see her everyday and she does tend to repeat herself which must be an age thing, but she always says to me how lucky she is and how all your staff are so kind and caring and always smiling. Everyone there goes an extra mile without exception and you are making my 94 year old mum happy and content and I can't express how humbled I am at your expertise.
Thank you Belong Crewe from Dawn and myself to all concerned and keep up your empathy and compassion and don't alter how you look after our valued relations. Your work and kindness helps us relax somewhat to know you have it under control.
Thank you for taking the time to submit such wonderful feedback. We aim to maintain high standards at Belong Crewe; we are so delighted to hear this has been your experience and I will make sure your very kind words are passed to the village team. It's a pleasure to have your Mum with us.
The team in Patriot House did everything that they possibly could to make her final days as comfortable, dignified and peaceful as we could have hoped for.
Whilst she was still able, Mum was involved in the activities and we have seen photographs of her enjoying herself greatly.
As she became ill she received wonderful medical support from the nursing team and constant personal care.
Thank you all so much.
Please accept our condolences; it was a privilege to care for your mum and we are pleased to know she was happy during her time here. Thank you for taking the time to submit your review and we will ensure your kind words are shared with the team at the village.
Some small changes could be made to improve communication with the family as the care app sometimes leaves us feeling disconnected, particularly around important updates about health/wellbeing changes.
We experience ongoing minor frustrations such as clothing going missing/worn by other residents & belongings misplaced. These things, although small are still important, particularly given the cost of the care, now among the most expensive in the country. Many families will relate to the significant financial burden of self-funding.
The most important thing however is that Mum is treated with kindness & receives attentive care. For that we're truly grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. We're truly grateful for your kind words about our staff and the care your mum is receiving. Creating a safe, compassionate, and engaging environment for all residents is at the heart of what we do, and it's wonderful to hear that...
What a wonderful warm and professional welcome my Mum has received. We know that she will settle well and be lovingly cared for.
Thank you for your lovely feedback on the welcome and support provided at Belong Crewe. It is a pleasure to have your mum living with us and part of our Belong family.
He has been living at Belong, Crewe, for two and a half years.
Belong, Crewe, feels like a family.
Every member of staff from carers to maintenance and kitchen staff knows and treats the residents with respect and compassion. Residents are looked after not only in terms of their physical needs but also their whole well-being. There are varied and well-planned activities daily and family and friends are made to feel welcome to join in.
Dad's passing was a long and often painful journey. The staff at Belong, Crewe, were amazing beyond words. I cannot speak highly enough of the tenderness and gentle care given by one and all. They included family in that caring, helping us through this difficult and very distressing time.
I cannot praise the staff at Belong Crewe highly enough.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this incredibly moving feedback. It was a privilege to support your dad and it is crucial to us that we make people's time with us as special and positive as possible. It will mean a great deal to our village team to read your comments and I will ensure they are shared with everyone. Thanks again.
The most caring, understanding and hard working staff. My husband has recently been quite poorly (on top of his dementia) two of the staff sat with him after their shifts had finish. You all know how appreciated you are. Thank you all so much.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of Belong Crewe. We are so touched by your kind words, and will aim to keep our services to such high standards. I will share this with the entire team.
Well cared for/plenty to do/medical support, superb at keeping fit in the fitness studio and walking group. Mentally kept alert through quizzes and boardgames.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this feedback. We aim to maintain high standards at Belong Crewe; we are so delighted to hear this has been your experience.
My husband moved into Belong Crewe just over 3 weeks ago. After being diagnosed with dementia 7 yrs ago we have struggled at home, especially in the last 2 yrs. It was a very difficult decision to make and we looked at a lot of care homes. I am so relieved that we chose Belong Crewe and they were able to take him. It is a fantastic place and the carers are all amazing. The household concept makes a big difference in it feeling more like a home environment. The ethos of belong and how they understand dementia is fantastic and exactly what we were looking for. It is a very welcoming place and I also feel very comfortable when visiting him. I would 100% recommend Belong.
Thank you for submitting such a very kind review. We are delighted to hear your experience has been so positive and that you are so happy with your husbands care and your decision. Thanks again for choosing Belong Crewe; it's a pleasure to have welcomed you both to our Belong family.
My husband has just moved into Belong Crewe. The staff are really friendly, lovely place with things going on all the time. Very clean. Very supportive. So far so good.
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide this feedback, which is valued by all the team. We are delighted to hear that your Husband's experience at Belong Crewe has been so positive so far and that you are happy with your choice and support given.
The staff are amazing - very caring, nothing is too much trouble. They are extremely patient, even when short staffed at times, and have some challenging residents. My aunt has dietary needs and they persevere even when she refuses drinks and food. The home provides activities most days and sends out a monthly calendar of upcoming events. These include multigenerational sessions which my aunt greatly enjoyed having been a primary teacher. This was one of the reasons for choosing this home and its CQC rating. As a family we are very pleased with the care she receives at Belong.
Thank you for submitting such a kind review. We are delighted to hear your experience with Belong Crewe is such a good one. It's a pleasure to have your Aunt with us and we are so pleased that she is enjoying being involved in our activities and receiving such good care.
My mum has now been at Belong, Brookhouse Drive, Crewe for 12 months and I am extremely pleased that we chose this care home. The permanent staff have provided quality personal care and made sure mum is supported both physically and emotionally. This week on getting back from an A&E visit at 4.30am a member of staff was waiting with a wheelchair and two of them helped her get settled and into bed with good humour and care. The food is also very good. I also appreciate the detailed notes uploaded throughout the day to the relative gateway website which keeps me well updated. All much appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to provide this lovely feedback. We are delighted to know that your mum is happy at Belong Crewe and our team are providing a friendly, homely and welcoming environment, with the best care. It means a great deal to us all to know that their dedication is making a real impact and is so appreciated.
Family can also find information of their loved one's day to day activities and wellbeing every day.
As time passes and the resident's needs increase, so does the monitoring and care both day and night. I'm so glad I chose Belong Village. I would recommend it unreservedly to anyone who needs somewhere safe and welcoming for a family member.
Thank you for such lovely feedback. We are overjoyed to hear your husband is happy with us and receiving exceptional care. It is also good to know that you feel a part of our Belong Crewe family and I will make sure your review is passed on to the village team.
My dad moved into Belong from another home, his mental being was very low at this time, since being at Belong he has put a little bit of weight on, he was very thin,, he watches tv in the communal lounge & occasionally takes himself to another house & sits with other people, the staff take good care of him & have a bit of a banter with him, which he likes, the home is very clean & very welcoming, relatives can visit anytime; you don't have to make an appointment.Dad does not take part in a lot of the activities, he's a bit on the quiet side & wont mingle, hopefully he will do in the future, as the staff are always putting on a full timetable of activities, I have my lunch with him 2/3 times a week in The Bistro, family occasionally join us, the food is lovely with plenty of choice, overall very happy with Belong, management & staff.
Thank you for taking the time to submit such wonderful feedback. We aim to maintain high standards at Belong Crewe; we are so delighted to hear this has been your experience and that your Dad is feeling settled and improving since joining us. I will make sure your kind words are passed to the village teams.
My wife has been in the hospital for an operation, for medical reasons I have stayed for 2 weeks. I could not have been looked after better in the Ritz hotel. It has been a pleasure to talk to your staff, and have interesting conversations with the residents. Some have known me for many years as a councillor and my work in Crewe Railway works. Many thanks.
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide this lovely feedback. It means a great deal to the team here and we are so pleased to hear you have been so happy and well looked after, in Belong Crewe.
We have always been very happy with Mum being with you at Belong. The staff are excellent, friendly and always keep us informed of any issues with Mum. Mum isn't the easiest resident but the team at Britannia in Crewe manages Mum caringly and very professionally. They are translated through all family members who visit. Thank you from all of us.
Thank you for your positive review on the support provided at Belong Crewe. We do our best to understand every customer and it is a pleasure to have your mum with us. I will share your feedback with the Britannia House team.

Meet the Team (6)

Caroline Anthony was appointed as General Manager at Belong Crewe in April 2024, following her five-year tenure in the role of Support Manager, where she consistently demonstrated her leadership skills with compassion and dedication.
Amongst the country’s first graduates for the NVQ in health and social care when originally launched, Caroline’s career took off when she secured her first care job in a local nursing home. Following a brief break, she returned to work, this time for the council, providing domiciliary care in the community.
It was after joining Belong in 2016 as a senior support worker that Caroline began to develop her leadership skills, progressing to Lead Senior Support Worker and then earning her promotion to Support Manager.
As General Manager, Caroline has overall responsibility for all who work and live at Belong Crewe, whether in 24-hour care households or independent living apartments.
She operates an open-door policy and always welcomes feedback from customers and members of the wider village community as we work together to enhance wellbeing and outcomes for all in our care.

Dean joined Belong Crewe soon after it opened in 2011, quickly proving himself a compassionate, dedicated and highly regarded team member. He worked as a Support Worker for 12 years, providing outstanding support to residents while completing both his Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Adult Social Care. Promotions to Senior Support Worker, then Team Leader, followed, and it was during his tenure in the latter role that Dean deservedly won the fiercely contested Belong Champion Award for Leader of the Year.
He continued to demonstrate his dependability as he took on increasing levels of responsibility following the appointment of Caroline Anthony as General Manager. He was appointed to the Village Management Team as Assistant Support Manager in 2023, before being promoted to the Support Manager role the following year. He is currently working towards his Level 5 Diploma in Adult Social Care.

Jane Hughes was promoted from her role as Acting Support Manager from Village Nurse Manager in April 2024.

Joy brings a wealth of experience to the role of Front of House Manager, having previously worked in retirement living for the past eight years. Joy started her career as a receptionist and progressed to being responsible for five schemes across Cheshire; involved in all aspects of administration, customer finances and facilities management.

Nurturing home-grown talent, Belong Crewe promoted Jessica Butler to the post of Experience coordinator in June 2021.
Jessica will work with the wider village team to ensure the provision of meaningful occupation for residents of both its 24-hour care households and independent living apartments, as well as managing the Experience Day programme for customers of Belong’s specialist day care service.
Joining the team as a bistro assistant at Belong Crewe when the village first opened in 2010, Jessica has progressed with the organisation, as it quickly became apparent that her skills in connecting to customers would be highly beneficial in a care capacity.
Belong supported her learning and development to make the transition to becoming a support worker, and Jessica worked under the guidance of Belong’s Dementia Trainer as she took her Level 3 qualification. Jessica soon flourished, showing the perfect balance of empathy and positivity to bring joy and purpose to Belong’s residents and she progressed to a senior support worker.
Inspired by the value added by the Experience Day Team, Jessica later moved across to a role in this service. Already knowing the residents and their needs well, she understood how to create meaningful activities that engaged the customers on a daily basis.

Jane joined the Belong at Home team in 2018 and has made improvements to the service during that time.
Having progressed within the organisation, from the role of Community Support Worker to Senior Community Support Worker, before being appointed to the role of Area Manager in January 2020; Jane brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. Jane has previously worked in marketing and has experience in leading teams and performance management. Jane has worked and lived in both South Africa and America and returned to the UK in 2015 after living most of her life abroad.
