We are very pleased to see there are now activities in the afternoon as well as mornings. As before, all the staff are very pleasant, caring and helpful. It has been much appreciated with the extra effort made to get Mum up each day, this does help her mobility.

Excellent care. I expect my care to be perfect, and it was. It has taken me six months to recover, I still have carers but I am back on my feet again. I am fit as I was at 21 years old. I have completely forgotten about all the bad things in my life and the thing that matters is now. Like anyone I cannot predict the future but Like Dr Martin Luther King I have a dream.

My dad came to Mantles Court in March 2024 and I can genuinely say - hand on heart - that he has blossomed in the 2 months he has been here.
Dad has moderate dementia and prior to coming to Mantles Court had found this very difficult to adjust to. He had been distressed and agitated, and was generally very unhappy.
Since coming Mantles Court he is much happier, calmer and more contented: this is thanks to the wonderful care and support he receives from the staff; and from the whole environment of the care home, which is much more “normal” than many others which I visited prior to dad’s admission here.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their kindness, good humour, compassion, and dedication to the residents under their care. Every single member of staff that I have met has gone above and beyond to take care of the residents and make their daily lives pleasant, comfortable, and replete with meaning. It feels like a real community here.

If I ever need to go to a care home, I hope it’s Mantles Court!

My father was a resident at Mantles Court for eighteen months. He thought of Mantles as his home and was very happy there. Very sadly my father has recently passed away at Mantles Court, where he was treated with care, compassion and kindness until the very end. As a family, we were always made very welcome at any time by friendly and cheerful staff. Dad's home was always clean, his meals always appetising and tasty. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for always caring for our Dad.

As soon as you walk into Mantles Court you're greeted with a warm smile. Light and fresh interiors are easy on the eye. Signage is helpful too. Rooms are modern but not clinical. Design is there to enable all residents to be as independent as possible. My dad is very happy here and has made some friends already. Staff keep us informed of his progress and any concerns without delay. Knowing he's in good hands helps us sleep at night.

Two-week trial period of respite for my mother. Mantles Court was a great choice as it is so clean and new and all the staff have been helpful and supportive. My mother was frightened to come but now feels really settled and feels safe, secure and supported. As a family, we are very pleased with everything.

An absolutely first-class home, more like a luxury hotel. Always spotless and fresh. Food is of an amazing standard, with great variety and plenty of choices. Staff are amazing too, from admin and reception through to the carers, chef and housekeeping. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Little touches like a cafe with a coffee machine, hairdressing salon and nail bar and a full programme of events. All residents are treated with respect and affection. First class in every way.

Generally a good standard of care. Food is not as good as it used to be. Sometimes meals are below the acceptable standard. Seems to improve when the resident cook is not there! Communication between the home and myself used to be very good, but in the last four months, zero. As a result, I never knew what was going on. Staff/management changes - not notified. Covid rules change - not notified.

Food is poor at times, depending on chefs.
Food is not hot sometimes, only warm.
Porridge lumping.
No hot food in the evening (when out on an appointment, maybe evening dinner)

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right decision for Mum. The rooms are clean and comfortable, she's enjoying the food and the care is excellent. Above all, we know she is in safe hands. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone has gone out of their way to welcome her and us. After only a short while, we can see a vast improvement in her. We are very grateful for the love and care shown.

My mother was very apprehensive about going in care for the three days whilst we attended a wedding for the weekend. It was her first time in care. We need not have worried as she came home at the end of the weekend with nothing but praise for the home and staff. We can be safe knowing that if we needed to go away again, Mum will be in safe hands and enjoy her time at the home.

The support and care given to my father, after sadly losing his wife after 67 years, is second to none. Although a dementia sufferer, they have given so much time and effort to him. They are always available to family and always very friendly. Although my father's health is declining, I know he is as happy and settled as he could be. I thoroughly recommend Mantles Court for senior residential care.

Initially looking for respite care for Mum in May/June and went to look at Mantle’s Court. I was greeted by the home manager who made me feel so welcome. She showed me around the home and to the staff. I knew straight away this was the place for Mum so I could go away knowing she would be well cared for.
Due to a fall at home, I needed to arrange emergency care and the home manager came to my rescue and arranged it while I went away. What was a very stressful time for me was made so much easier for which I am so grateful.
Mum's family went to visit her and all spoke so highly of all the staff and how well she had settled in such a homely setting.
Mum had a lovely time making new friends and enjoying the activities and entertainment - singing and clapping along and tapping her feet.

I know that when the time comes for permanent care this is the place I would choose. The staff are a real credit to the home and I can’t thank them enough for the care they gave Mum.

Moved Mum in before Christmas. She has mild dementia at the moment and needs some watching. The home assessed her very quickly, provided plenty of support when moving her in and have really looked after her. Staff are very friendly and helpful, building is kept clean and well designed. Would not hesitate to recommend Mantles to someone else.
