One month was bliss for me and my 92 year old husband when we both became residents again at Haywood Lodge recently
My husband had a unscheduled 2 week stay in hospital arriving on a stretcher, I arrived 2 days before him after surgery & needed to recuperate. The team were not phased by our range of problems & I was so relieved that the complex needs of my husband were dealt with so well by the wonderful, caring professional & considerate team. The management team even arranged paddling in a paddling pool with an ice cream in the hot weather!
A huge thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly in all the heat to make us well enough to return home. You are all so special!
Your kind words mean a great deal to our team of dedicated colleagues, who continuously strive to provide the highest quality of care for our residents
When you enter the home, it has a welcoming feeling, feels homely. The home is clean, beautiful decor, the residents look clean, well dressed and look comfortable and happy. Staff go above and beyond to ensure residents have all their care needs met. My mother has come on leaps and bounds since arriving at Haywood Lodge, as is happy and content. As a family, we viewed other homes, and this is far the best. Food is of excellent quality.
We'd like to extend our thanks for your kind words.
It means so much to our colleagues when they receive this level of praise; they work tirelessly throughout the year to deliver the kindest care to residents and hearing such feedback is gratefully appreciated.
Thank you again for your positive comments
My husband spent 7 months in Haywood Lodge. He has dementia; he had the most wonderful care and kindness shown to him. Every member of staff, from the top down are really caring. We were sorry to have moved him, but this awful illness has taken its toll. I would say this home is one of the best.
Wed like to extend our thanks for your kind words following your husbands short care break with us at Haywood lodge care home.

The care Mom has received from the home has been excellent. All the staff are very caring, and I feel able to approach any member of staff with any questions regarding my mom's care or health. She has come on so much since moving to the home; she participates in a lot of the activities provided by the home. The meals are fantastic, and mom has started eating and drinking regularly, whereas she was deteriorating before her move to the home. We as a family, are very pleased with her care.
We'd like to extend our appreciation to you for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review.

I always found the staff to be open friendly, very helpful and considerate to all of the residents
I have attended my mother-in-law during some of the activities they hold which seem to go down very well.
I've also been there at varying times of the day, including meal times. I've always found that the staff have been very attentive and caring about the food that the residence eat.. I found that the quality of food has always been a good standard and I take notice of the menus that they offer daily. I think there's been a good variety of food on offer and all the meals that I have seen have been very acceptable and if a good standard..The overall ambience of the place is good From the greeting from the receptionist to the conversations with the manageress
I have no hesitation in recommending this as a really caring home.

I can't say how happy we are to find this care home for my dad who has vascular dementia. He's been there a couple of months now and it's taken a lot of stress off us and him. The team are so good there with everyone being so friendly and happy. The rooms are very nicely decorated as is the whole block. Everyone bends over backwards to help with anything from issues to information, from activities to days out. It takes a certain person to be able to work in these types of environments and Haywood lodge has these people in abundance. So pleased my dad is under their care and I couldn't recommend it enough. Very happy with everything, great service.

Initial meeting was welcoming and I felt they listened to my concerns. I chose a month's package so I could get respite for myself. They understood his needs and made me feel confident they would be able to manage his health issues. Every visit I made, they gave me information about his issues and behaviour, and supported me in a very friendly manner. I was very happy he was looked after so well.

Haywood Lodge has a real 'home from home' feel. It is beautifully decorated and well maintained. The staff are caring to my mum and myself showing kindness and compassion. The manager has been particularly understanding and has communicated and worked with me to provide the best care and pro-actively addressed a situation that was a concern and implemented a solution. Hayward Lodge overall has a welcoming environment and I am very grateful for the care and support provided here.

My Dad has had a number of visits for regular respite over the past 18 months and I cannot express how much easier the process is knowing he is going to Haywood Lodge. Rooms are beautifully decorated, light and airy, staff are caring and understanding and take time to understands his needs. They take into account his routine at home, and try to follow a similar routine. At every request, staff take time to try to accommodate requests to make Dad's stay is the best it can be. Food is of excellent quality, they appreciate that he is only visiting, and accommodate his eating patterns from home so that the transition in and out are as smooth as possible. Haywood Lodge is managed by a great team, led by the manager, who finds time to not only manage the home, but to ensure that residents and families are happy. I would not recommend this Carehome HAYWOOD LODGE to any families that are looking for a Carehome for their loved ones from the experience we had and the care our mother received. l recently found out they have received a CQC rating of Good which l find very hard to accept. We have since moved our mother to another Carehome in Solihull which is also rated Good there is no comparison it should be excellent. Our mother is a different person since we moved her and is getting the care that she deserves. When choosing a Carehome you need to really do your research.
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to make improvements where required. We are sorry to hear that Haywood Lodge Care Home did not meet your expectations and we have taken on board your comments. We strive to deliver kind care every day and we are grateful to you for...
The manager and her team have been truly amazing. My nan went to Haywood Lodge for a two week stay following a fall. She now doesn't want to go home. She said the food is gorgeous and the staff are very kind and caring. They have taken time to get to know her and really make her smile and laugh!
Thank you for sharing such positive feedback about our home. At Haywood House, kindness is at the heart of everything we do and are so pleased to hear your nan happy here. Kind words like these are testament to the hard work of our colleagues so we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Staff welcoming and treated my brother-in-law and ensured he was comfortable and know were is room was. We were offered refreshments. I have enjoyed not having total responsibility for his care. He is settling in and enjoying life himself - no longer lonely. He enjoys excellent food and choice of menu. I have all questions answered. Care is excellent. I will recommend the home to people.

From the moment we walked into reception we were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome by the receptionist and every member of the staff thereafter who we came into contact with.
We found the whole place to be very clean, warm and comforting. My friend, who would obviously rather be back at home, has no complaints regarding any of the staff, facilities, entertainment meals or activities available to residents.
We left feeling very grateful that my friend is in a wonderful care home and would sincerely recommend Haywood Lodge.
