My mother-in-law came to this care home at the beginning of April. I was very impressed with the management and how they welcomed not just my mother-in-law but us a whole family. They provided us with a huge support as my mother-in-law has just been diagnosed with Dementia which was very hard on the
whole family but the whole team of White House care home was just amazing. I would recommend this care home to everyone.
Reply from Maria Dziedziurska, Manager at White House Care HomeThank you for your lovely comments. The care and service we deliver as a team to our residents and families are extremely important to us. We are very happy that we could help when you needed it.

We have found an excellent nursing home for my mother to reside in and be looked after. The clinical care from a doctor and nursing staff is very good. The general care is also excellent. My mother is being treated with respect and dignity as you would expect from 'top draw' staff. The establishment
in general is as smart as can be with great facilities. The dining room and food are particularly good. The White House is an excellent place in general.
Reply from Maria Dziedziurska, Manager at White House Care HomeDear Ian, thank you very much for taking the time to send us this lovely review, it is appreciated. Each day we try our best to ensure our residents are treated with the kindness and respect they deserve.

Rooms are a decent size and give people some privacy too.

My mother-in-law moved to White House Care Home last year, she was taken ill just before she moved there and sadly passed away a few weeks after moving in. During her short time there, the staff were amazing and did everything they possibly could to make her comfortable, not only that but they went
out of their way to ensure our family could spend as much time with her and made us all feel welcome including bringing food and drink to us on long visits. All this whilst they were still trying to find their feet in the first few weeks after opening. My wife and her sisters were so grateful for this and how it enabled them to spend as much time as possible with their mum in her final days. Such a pity that she had so little time there as we all know she would have been happy and well looked after.
Reply from Manni Makoni, Manager at White House Care HomeThank you so much for your wonderful review. We are so pleased we were able to provide the high level of care to your mother-in-law that you have mentioned.

The care home is beautifully decorated and equipped more like a 4-star hotel. The grounds need some attention but I am sure they will be as beautiful as the home in due course. The care home has only been open for two months and I know there have been teething problems with the staff, all the staff
that I have met have been lovely and I know my mum is in safe, caring hands which is the most important thing of all.
Reply from Manni Makoni, Manager at White House Care HomeThank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are very proud of the work that the team delivers on a daily basis and will ensure that they receive your comments. We have ground projects which we will be implementing to enhance residents' and relatives' experience at White House Care Home.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.864)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.864) out of 10 for White House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 27 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.864 for White House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (270 Excellents x 5) + (36 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 309 Ratings = 4.864
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for White House Care Home is based on 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 registered maximum number of service users is 10, which has been reached with 27 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
