My parents moved into Woodlands last week. The staff greeted them like old friends and treated them with the upmost care and respect on what was a difficult day for all of us. Everyone is very nice and are very attentive to mum. Staff are always welcoming when I come to visit Mum. I never feel restricted about visiting Mum. The food is very nice and if mum doesn't fancy anything on the menu, the kitchen staff are always on hand to offer an alternative. I am glad my brother and I choose Woodlands.

The facility is first class, and standard is matched by the care provided by all staff.
Myself and our family have built personal relationships with the staff who are allocated to care for our mother.
They are kind, caring and very supportive to her needs.
Under current management team, staff have been able to progress into new roles, which is a great incentive and achievement for those individuals.
Varied activities are held daily, weekly where residents are encouraged to attend and participate.

Like most people, having to move their loved one into a care home is an extremely worrying and difficult decision however I cannot speak highly enough about the Woodlands team and facility. My Mum has been resident there for 2 months now and went in under extremely difficult family circumstances and a family bereavement. The Woodlands team are absolutely amazing, caring, kind, professional and committed to ensuring that my Mum, myself and my family were supported with the transition from home to woodlands. My Mum absolutely loves being at Woodlands. Their wellbeing program of activities is outstanding and I've seen an improvement in Mums overall health and well-being as a result of that. The staff treat us all like family members as we do them and it gives us all great comfort and reassurance knowing Mum is safe and being so well looked after and is happy and enjoying herself. Well done and thank you to everyone at Woodlands. You definitely deserve the recognition for all your hard work.

You will have noticed that I have put an X in every box below. I do really feel that Woodlands Care Home deserves that in every way - with every member of staff deserving to be well acknowledged for the work they do to make it the most welcoming and happy care home that I have ever been into. I have been in many. Every member of staff does their very best for each resident. They are all polite, caring, smiling and welcoming to residents and visitors. Nothing is too much trouble. That is why it is such a happy and very good care home.

My son came into the home under an Emergency Protection Order on the 14th June. He left for his new accommodation on the 27th October. He was in a bad way mentally when he arrived. The staff were so kind, understanding that when he left he was smiling, something he hadn't done for a while. The warmth and kindness shown to us his parents was exceptional, and we were amazed at the connection Martin made in his time there. Having a child with autism is extremely stressful, but Woodlands, also a haven of peace and fun for him. We were happy to leave him in the care of the wonderful staff.
I cannot express how grateful we are to receive such a heartfelt review. It is testimony to what can be achieved when multidisciplinary teams join forces and work together. We are delighted to learn your son is thriving in his new accommodation but we do miss him coming into our office every day...

The home is built to the highest of standards and has been designed in a very modern style. Extremely spacious in every way, light and airy with every detail carefully and considered and thought through. The facilities are top class with lovely spacious rooms, a dedicated cinema room, library, quiet lounges and a wonderful open plan cafe to socialise in. They also have a beautiful garden area which is so easy to access from the cafe area and has plenty of seating areas for when the sun is shining.
The entire home is wonderfully managed and you can tell by the attitude of each and every member of staff that this is a happy environment for your loved one to be in and they will be looked after by staff that genuinely care.
Many thanks.

The care and attention my uncle receives is very good indeed. He is always clean shaven, with his favourite aftershave on. There are quite a few gents and there are often outings to the "boys club" as they call it. He seems very happy at Woodlands. Sometimes we feel he's too busy to see us!
Thank you very much indeed for sharing your experience and for such positive feedback. The "Boys Club" was instigated, set up and organised by the "Boys" and is now a permanent fixture and very well attended indeed along with the weekly visit to The Men's Shed. It is so rewarding to know you are...

It was a difficult decision to move my mum into a care home but everyone made her feel so welcome from the start. They even sent a luxury car to pick us up. She has settled in wonderfully well and at the ripe old age of 91, she has made quite a few new friends.

Lesley has worked with the company since 2021 as manager of their flagship home in Edinburgh and has now transferred to join the team at Woodlands.
As a qualified nurse, Lesley’s main clinical background is in the Intensive Care Unit at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and latterly as a Specialist Peritoneal Dialysis nurse. Having had amazing grandparents, Lesley always knew she wanted to work with the older generation and is passionate about ensuring they lead fulfilling and meaningful lives during their golden years.
As a leader, Lesley’s main focus is staff development and progression; she is a great believer in further education to ensure residents and families receive high standards of care and support. She adopts a supportive approach and fully embraces, working in partnership with residents and their families.

Prashna is a hard-working, caring and dedicated member of our team and is our Clinical Lead, overseeing our nursing and senior team. We are very proud to announce Prashna has won the very prestigious company award of Nurse of the Year 2025 for Scotland. Warm and caring, Prashna will always go above and beyond for all and is a real asset to our team.

Helen joined the company in 2022 as a member of the Wellbeing Team, bringing with her valuable experience from the hospitality sector. Her strong customer service skills, combined with her expertise in event management, made her an ideal fit for the role. Over the past four years, Helen has gained extensive experience, developed her leadership capabilities, and progressed within the organisation. She now holds the position of Non-Clinical Deputy Manager, where she continues to make a significant contribution to both the team and the service.

Margaret has come to Woodlands with many years of administration experience in care homes. Margaret is of particular support to those moving into Woodlands and their families.

Liesa joined the team with a wealth of frontline experience and always provides a warm welcome to those visiting Woodlands. Liesa's area of focus is supporting new residents and their families, step by step, throughout the whole moving-in process. Lisa's warm approach ensures the whole family are supported from the initial enquiry, right through to the day of moving in and after.

Liz has joined our reception team. Her caring nature, coupled with her bubbly personality, makes her the perfect person for this role.

Regina worked in Intensive Care as a Registered Nurse in Nepal before moving to Scotland. Coming from a long line of nurses, who all specialised in the care of the elderly, it was a natural progression for her to follow suit. As Unit Lead, Rojiina always has a positive and smiley outlook and will always go above and beyond for those she supports and their families.

Beth supports the nursing team and has undertaken additional training in the form of the SVQ3 qualification. Being a hands-on person, Beth leads her team by example and is a great role model and mentor for the younger members of our team. Beth is also our trainer and assessor for Moving and Assisting and holds regular classes to ensure all our staff remain up to date with their training.

Amaka joined Woodlands as a care assistant and has recently undertaken and passed with flying colours the SCQF7 qualification in Oral Care. Amaka will now be responsible for overseeing and training new recruits in the importance of oral health assessments and also in the auditing of services. Amaka is always smiling and positive, and whether walking to work or working at Woodlands, she is always singing, which brings so much happiness to the day...

Rachel joins us straight from university with a first-class degree in psychology, giving her a strong understanding of the importance of activities that stimulate both the mind and body. She brings hands-on experience organising events for all age ranges, from hosting children's parties to large-scale university and public events; she is ready to make use of these skills in her role as Wellbeing Lead

Since joining the team, Gordon has taken on additional training to ensure our garden is accessible for all residents and their families. Gordon supports residents to grow their own vegetables and herbs in the garden and encourages them to be active in our Garden Club, planning the garden and buying plants. If not in the garden, Gordon loves taking residents out and about in Aberdeen. Always with a smile on his face, he is ever too much trouble.
