It is the most difficult task to write a review regarding Weaver's Court Care Home. It is quite natural to seek fault or criticise any area that one is reviewing, however at Weaver's Court this is impossible for the simple reason this care home is really a 10-star retreat reminiscent of a luxury hotel. It includes the most caring of staff who give their very best. The decor and facilities infuse a luxurious atmosphere providing much more than one could expect.
This care home contains top-class facilities, too numerous to mention. Beautiful laid-out bedrooms, and en-suite bathrooms, all developed with care for the residents. The reception area provides comfort and cleanliness.
The reception staff are so kind, caring and informative and these qualities are reflected throughout when "more than expected" is experienced. It provides the confidence to leave your loved ones in comfort, care and in experts hands. Indeed a happy place, I give Weavers Court the highest marks, ten out of ten.

It is obvious that the design, the layout and the detail have been carefully created to achieve a peaceful, contented and ambient result.

Mixed experience. My mother with dementia was in respite care with a view to finding somewhere permanent.
During her short 2-week stay there were a few concerns about attention to detail when putting the care plan into action e.g. applying cream to dry skin, and always providing a cushion to support her posture to prevent back pain. However, these were all things that could be improved over time with feedback. I am not sure how well the menu was suited to a vegetarian diet, as unlike the main menu the meals were not as varied or always unprocessed.
My main issue was their policy of not dispensing health supplements, even with a doctor's note and for this reason, I have given an unsatisfactory score to management even though this is their director's policy and not a reflection of the Manager's service which was supportive.

Following her stay we communicated directly with the policy director and referred her to the CQC guidance on this to investigate however they never replied making it unsuitable.

Hi R, we are very sorry that you felt that you had to give us this score for your mum's two-week respite care in October 2023. We felt that we had tried our best and always had good communication with you to ensure your mum's care needs were met and she was settled and enjoyed her stay. It is...

My dad was at Weaver’s Care home for three months and I visited many times. The facility is beautiful and the atmosphere is lovely. But most importantly, the staff is amazing. They really do care and will go the extra mile to make sure the guests are properly taken care of.

My mum has previously had 4 weeks of respite care in the autumn of 2023. A deterioration in her health has meant that she has now become a permanent resident and is so pleased that she could return to Weavers Court. Her care needs now mean that she requires more support and we are very pleased that she has the best that we could wish for.

She has already been able to use the hairdressing facilities and enjoyed a special themed evening meal when we were also able to join her.

Reply from Andrew Long, Owner at Weavers Court

Whilst your mum's care needs have reached a point that she needs to be with us permanently, we are of course delighted that she has come to live with us at Weavers Court. Our staff team will be so pleased to hear your kind words which always means a lot to them to receive such supportive feedback.

We never envisaged our mum living in a care home, but when we were unable to give Mum the care she needed at home we started our reluctant search. We will forever be thankful we found Weavers Court. I remember the first visit before Mum moved in, heartbreak that we were entering into a new phase of care for Mum, but relief that we had finally found the right place. I will never forget the kindness one staff member showed that day. Our mum is so well looked after, we cannot thank everyone enough for helping our family. The care is outstanding, it’s not just a care home, it’s our mum’s home and that’s how we feel when we visit. We would like to thank every single person who looks after our mum. You are all amazing, wonderful, kind people and the care you give doesn’t stop at our mum, you care for us all as a family too. Thank you for putting your hearts into Weavers Court. Everyone deserves to have a place as beautiful as this for care when they need it. Thank you, we will be forever grateful.

We are so happy to have found Weavers Court where Mum is able to convalesce after a long hospital stay as she builds her strength in preparation for getting back to her home. All of the staff have been amazing, so friendly and encouraging as she increases her mobility. As a family we have found a really warm welcome from all staff each time we visit and would recommend Weavers Court to anybody looking for a care home that goes the extra mile!

We have cared for Mum for 3 years and seen distressing symptoms and the whole family impact. 6 months ago everything seemed to worsen, carers came frequently to the home and Mum was unhappy and agitated.
4 months after coming to Weaver's Court, Mum is worry free - it shows in her face and her appetite!
The principle of care is that Weaver's Court is home. The standard of care is exceptional. Every physical, social, emotional, psychological, and environmental need is well thought through.

Despite Mum's illness she is thriving and we gratefully respect every single member of staff.

Its always a hard decision to move a loved one to a care home but I can happily say 3 months down the line, Weavers Court has exceeded every expectation and continues to do so. Mum has done more in the last 3 months than the last 3 years, is brighter in herself, happy, and settled. Thank you to all at Weavers for not only making Mum feel at home, but also helping the family adjust to the new way of life. You are an outstanding team.

Weavers Court Care Home has given my great-aunt a new lease of life. She is 101 and celebrated her birthday at the home. The staff decorated and arranged alpacas to visit. This is just one example of the love, care and kindness shown on a daily basis. Nothing is too much trouble. Every member of staff is lovely. The food is delicious and the surroundings are fresh and comfortable.

Reply from Andrew Long, Owner at Weavers Court

Sally, thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. We love alpacas! We also love our residents, of course, and your great-aunt is a pleasure and privilege to care for. From initially speaking to the staff at Weavers Court Care Home and looking around the beautiful home, we, as a family, were very impressed and felt this was the right home for Mum.
The staff have proven to be so kind, caring, compassionate, efficient and professional, we can't speak highly enough of the whole team.

Everything about Weavers Court is exceptional.

Hi Jane, I can't thank you enough for posting this review. It's hard sometimes to express our gratitude to the staff for all they do. Much is often unseen and unsung, day in and day out but to have words of encouragement and praise from relatives of the loved ones we are privileged to have looked after is the most valuable "thank you".

The move from the West Midlands couldn't have been any better. My mum-in-law has a new lease of life, and I can't praise the staff enough for the care shown to her. She has joked, laughed and even wants to help herself move, having not tried for a long time at home. It is a fabulous second home so far.

Jane, thank you so much for that rating. It is always a big thing to up sticks and move so far away from one's home so the staff team at Weavers Court will be particularly pleased to hear this feedback from you. It means a lot to all the team here. Your mum-in-law is a lovely character and enjoys keeping us on our toes!

My mum was the first permanent resident and the reception she received was outstanding. Like any relative placing a loved one into a new care environment we had our anxieties, particularly as our mum has a rare variant of dementia. I cannot commend the care and consideration she has received highly enough, particularly when she was taken ill in December 2022. The staff changed their own personal arrangements to assist us at the hospital. On her return the staff sat throughout the night outside her door to ensure her safety. Mum has now recovered and we are sure the speed of this is down to their care. The facilities are superb and we love the warm friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I went to their 'Pop up Italian restaurant' last night and the chef prepared a super meal whilst the staff dressed up as waiters. It was a great and funny evening and so lovely to see so many laughing. This just isn't a care home it's a community of love and respect for those that need extra care.
