Hi R, we are very sorry that you felt that you had to give us this score for your mum's two-week respite care in October 2023. We felt that we had tried our best and always had good communication with you to ensure your mum's care needs were met and she was settled and enjoyed her stay. It is unfortunate that you felt that you had to score 2 for the management in regard to the health supplements. As a registered care home, we are heavily regulated and we do have to operate to NICE Social Care Guideline (SC1) Managing Medicines in Care Homes. We would like to reassure you that, our Quality Director did send an email to CQC for advice on this however they did not respond and as we did not hear from you again, we thought that you had found an alternative placement. We wish you and your mum well in finding a different placement.
My dad was at Weaver’s Care home for three months and I visited many times. The facility is beautiful and the atmosphere is lovely. But most importantly, the staff is amazing. They really do care and will go the extra mile to make sure the guests are properly taken care of.

My mum has previously had 4 weeks of respite care in the autumn of 2023. A deterioration in her health has meant that she has now become a permanent resident and is so pleased that she could return to Weavers Court. We never envisaged our mum living in a care home, but when we were unable to give Mum the care she needed at home we started our reluctant search. We will forever be thankful we found Weavers Court. I remember the first visit before Mum moved in, heartbreak that we were entering into a new phase of care for Mum, but relief that we had finally found the right place. I will never forget the kindness one staff member showed that day. Our mum is so well looked after, we cannot thank everyone enough for helping our family. My mum was the first permanent resident and the reception she received was outstanding. Like any relative placing a loved one into a new care environment we had our anxieties, particularly as our mum has a rare variant of dementia. I cannot commend the care and consideration she has received highly enough, particularly when she was taken ill in December 2022. The staff changed their own personal arrangements to assist us at the hospital. On her return the staff sat throughout the night outside her door to ensure her safety. Mum has now recovered and we are sure the speed of this is down to their care. The facilities are superb and we love the warm friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I went to their 'Pop up Italian restaurant' last night and the chef prepared a super meal whilst the staff dressed up as waiters. It was a great and funny evening and so lovely to see so many laughing. This just isn't a care home it's a community of love and respect for those that need extra care.

The most important part of my role is making sure residents receive safe, compassionate, and person-centred care. It is also important to me that residents feel supported to live the life they choose.
The best part of the day for me is spending time with residents and seeing them happy and engaged. I particularly enjoy getting to know them, listening to their stories, and hearing about their lives.
My role is also about supporting colleagues and creating a positive culture. Working in care can be challenging, but it is also incredibly rewarding because of the positive impact it has on residents and their families.
I believe being a successful Home Manager requires compassion, resilience, approachability, and strong listening skills. Good communication is also essential, as is the ability to put yourself in someone else’s shoes.
I feel incredibly proud of the team at Weavers Court. It is a place where colleagues support one another and go the extra mile for residents.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I like staying active, getting out and about, enjoying good food, and making the most of my downtime. I believe it is important to maintain a healthy balance, and taking time to relax and recharge helps me bring energy and positivity to my role.
