My sister-in-law has been treated with the utmost care and dignity. All the caring staff we have met have been excellent, so very warm and friendly to my sister-in-law. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the quality of care at Meryton Place.
What a kind thing to read - it means a great deal to know your sister-in-law is being looked after with such care and dignity, and that the warmth of the team comes through every time you visit. Knowing you'd recommend us without hesitation is the highest compliment we could hope for. We'll happily pass your lovely words on to everyone here at Meryton Place.
The staff are first class always on hand to help and always willing to do so. My relative has receved exceptional care and as a result their health has improved in ways we never expected. It is always pleasure to visit and we can't thank staff enough.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are delighted to hear your relative has received such exceptional care and that their health and wellbeing have improved. Your feedback means so much to our whole team, and we will ensure your lovely comments are shared with them all.
My wife's first two weeks in Meryton Place have been a pleasant experience. The home is spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable, and the staff are attentive and caring. Food is ample and tasty, and eating in the dining room and attending activities allows for social interaction with other residents, enhancing the overall pleasant ambience of the home.
Thank-you for your kind words expressing your appreciation towards following your experience of our attentive team and your complements towards our welcoming, comfortable surroundings and social interactions. We take pride in supporting our residents to meet their individual personal interests and encourage friendships with choices of a busy activity programme
My 2 weeks of respite care following an operation in RUH achieved exactly what I wanted. When I arrived I could barely stand or walk. When I left I could walk 20/3 towards with a walker. The staff were great, encouraging me to exercise and recover.
Thank you for your words of praise. We were delighted to have had you stay with us and our the care and support aided your recovery. It was a delight to have you reside with us. Your kind words of appreciation will be passed onto our team.
We couldn't be happier with the care our mother has received. The staff are incredibly kind, caring, and attentive, always going the extra mile to make residents feel comfortable and valued. The meals are absolutely fabulous, and there's always a great range of activities to keep everyone engaged and happy.
What truly stands out is the atmosphere-it genuinely feels like a family home rather than a care facility. Meryton have made what was a very difficult decision for us into such a smooth and reassuring transition. We're so grateful for the support and compassion shown every day.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience.
We are truly delighted to hear how happy you are with the care your mother has received. It means a great deal to us that you have recognised the kindness, attentiveness, and dedication of our team, who...
I found all the staff friendly, and really caring. They were always willing to help and it was most noticeable how well they all got on with each other, The whole complex is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. I was only resident for two weeks because I am a widower and needed temporary care following hospital treatment, When I am unable to look after myself I will apply to reside at Meryton Place,
Thank-you for such a wonderful review, it was our pleasure having you stay with us for a second time. We take pride in all we do so our team will be delighted to hear of your review, thank-you (Name: Sarah Gravelle
Mum has been at Meryton Place for about 8 months and during this time they have taken on any feedback and adapted their approach to meet mums needs. She is very happy and settled and everyone goes out of their way to make her stay as nice as possible. Despite some mobility needs they have taken her on trips and visits in her wheelchair which has really helped her confidence. Highly recommended.
We do try our very best to reflect our residents care and the importance of discussing any changes by listening to families. We are delighted to have mum reside with us and sure there will be many more trips ahead. Your kind words will be shared with our team, thank-you
My mother moved into Meryton Place in December 2025. After living in the same home for almost 60 years it was a very difficult decision to move into care, but when she visited Meryton she agreed immediately to take a place there. We can honestly say that it is a most welcoming place with great facilities and amazing, caring staff who feel like family. We are always welcome to Meriton and able to spend as much time with Mum as we wish, with the option to join her for the fabulous meals provided. The very well organised activities, which family are also encouraged to join in with, ensure that residents can meet up and form friendships and also enjoy outings with special adapted transport arranged. All of Mums visitors say it is like a five-star, fully inclusive hotel! Thank you Meryton staff, you are wonderful xx
Thank-you for such a glowing review, we are delighted to have mum join our resident family and as important you and your family. It is a pleasure having you all here, we take pride in all we do so our team will be delighted to hear of your review, thank-you
Mum always valued her independence to the point where she was reluctant to consider moving to a care home. However, during a hospital stay in October '25 she came to the conclusion that she was unable to continue managing her own home alone and decided that the time had come to seriously consider the alternative. From the time that she first saw the facilities at Meryton Place, her enthusiasm increased. Within a day or two of moving in (November '25), she was convinced that she had done the right thing. Mum is a very sociable person and has found it very rewarding to join in the activities being offered and also to make new friends among both the residents and staff. From my point of view, the care being provided is beyond reproach with all of the staff taking the "nothing is too much trouble" attitude and also treating my wife and I as members of the Meryton family.
We so appreciate your kind words and thoughtful feedback. We're truly delighted to hear that mum feels reassured having decide to join us. Making the decision to move we understand can feel overwhelming and take some time to take the next steps, never an easy decision We are delighted mum selected...
Very happy with the service. Everyone is very helpful and happy to deal with any concerns immediately. I am very satisfied with the level of care my mother receives and so glad we were able to get her into the home.
Thank-you for taking the time to complete a review, we take pride in our level of care and to receive confirmation that mum and yourself are delighted is wonderful to hear. Your kind words of praise will be shared with our team. We are honoured to have mum reside with us here at Meryton Place
Meryton Place provided Dad with a home from home that has ensured he is both content and at peace. The staff are not just caring but responsive to his ever changing needs. Their ability to provide a personal touch for all residents is amazing. Equally the way the staff engage with us as relatives providing support not only for Dad but family as well has been really appreciated.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and your kind words. We are grateful that we are there for dad and offering the level of care he deserves, it is our pleasure to have dad stay with us. Your recommendation means the world to us and all your feedback will be shared with the team. (Name: Sarah Gravelle Email: meryton.ha@hamberleycarehomes.co.uk Position: Home Ambassador)
On making requests to various staff members of assistance on behalf of our friend that resides here, these were actioned with pace, diligence and without reluctance. All staff continually surpass my expectations and ensure our friend is always comfortable and can comprehend when being spoken too.
The numerous communal rooms are extremely clean and inviting with many activities organised for residents, of which our friend enjoys participating in.
Our friend was reluctant to leave her own home to make the move into a care facility wondering if she would like it. However, due to the welcoming conditions, staff and facilities all under one roof, she does not want to leave, wishing she had moved in sooner !
Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt review of Meryton Place. We truly appreciate your kind words and are so glad to hear that she was able to settle in after making such a huge decision to leave her home which we understand is never an easy decision to make . To hear of friendships built...
My partner is having excellent care in every way. He is losing the ability to tie laces, fasten belts etc and staff aid him in dressing etc.The meals here are exceptionally good, as is medical attention, and choice of activities. My partner has experience of 4 care homes over the past few months and Meryton is by far the best in care, well being, accommodation and attention to detail.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your heartfelt experience. We're truly honoured that you entrusted us and It means a great deal to hear that you've both felt welcomed and cared for at Meryton Place. Our goal is always to create a warm, supportive environment not just for our...
There were a few minor confusions at the beginning of the respite stay, due entirely to little errors in communication. It took a short while to discover who to communicate with to ensure that I did not arrange outings or visits for my friend, when the home had planned a particular activity. Everyone was efficient and helpful in sorting out minor muddles.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear you found the care excellent and our team friendly and professional. We appreciate your understanding regarding the initial communication mix ups and are glad everything was quickly resolved.
We explored many other care homes and are very glad we chose Meryton Place. The welcoming atmosphere, friendliness of the staff, fabulous facilities and high standards of care at Meryton are reassuring. My father is being looked after with respect, kindness and dignity. He is settling in well. We would recommend Meryton Place to others.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback. We're truly delighted to hear that you and Father are happy with your decision to choose Meryton Place. It means a great deal to us to know that your he is settling in well and feeling cared for with the respect, kindness, and dignity...
I recently had a few questions for the care team, these were answered quickly, comprehensively and to my satisfaction. I have been very happy with the care, support and respect the staff have given Mum. Consequently, Mum has made some very good friends with the staff and residents. Thanks very much for caring for my Mum. Best Wishes

I am the main carer for my Aunty, and unexpectedly I had to find a care home for her in May. This was obviously really upsetting for me, and I was scared about making the right decisions for my Aunty.
Right from the initial phone call the Ambassador was really friendly and reassuring. She understood my concerns and I truely appreciated her support through such a difficult time for me.
The home itself is fantastic. It has everything my Aunty needs and the support is given at the level she wants. It's nice for me to visit the Bistro with her and have a coffee and catch up, without having to worry about anything related to her care.
The whole team are so supportive of us both. They always have a nice chat with me and I feel we are both in their care now. Everybody got to know my Aunty really quickly, and it's nice how they pop in regularly to check if she is ok or if she needs a hot drink or anything. I would 100% recommend Meryton Place, I genuinely can't think of a bad word to say.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your heartfelt experience. We're truly honoured that you entrusted us with the care of your Aunty during such a difficult and emotional time. It's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed when making decisions about a loved one's care, and we're...
My mother received respite care following a fall at her home and a subsequent hospital stay. The staff at Meryton Place, especially one staff member in particular, have been exceptionally kind and helpful. Thank you for caring.

Our dad recently moved in to Meryton Place after a stay in hospital and our experience could not have been better. From day 1, the team at Meryton were very professional and incredibly caring. They spent time with us to work through all the details of his admission, coordinated with the hospital, and ensured dad was warmly welcomed in to his new room. At every step of the way, the team have been available to help us with any questions and provided unending support. Dad is enjoying getting settled and the team are going out of their way to make him comfortable and helping him get well. We could not be more grateful to all at Meryton Place. Thank you for all you do everyday.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful message. We are truly touched by your words and are delighted to hear that your dad's transition into Meryton Place has been a positive experience for both him and your family. It's incredibly important to us that every resident feels welcome,...
