Hi, I'm Wendy, and I'm the Deputy Manager here at Hazel Lodge.

I live in Robertsbridge with my little family, and I've been part of the team since November 2023, starting as a Community Lead and being promoted to Deputy Manager in Sept 2025.

I have worked in the health and social care sector for over 14 years and have experience in a variety of settings. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and supporting the wonderful team here to do the same.

I believe in making a positive impact on the lives of not only our residents but also their friends and families, and the best part of my working day is the quality time I get to spend with them all.

My name is Matthew and I joined Barchester Hazel Lodge in October 2024.

I am the Home Administrator and I deal with all aspects of administration in the home to ensure it runs smoothly.

I have been impressed by the dedication and hard work of all who work here. Hazel Lodge is a beautiful, modern home and a truly unique environment to work in.

Hello, My Name Is Mark, I have worked for Barchester since 2021, I enjoy the role of maintenance as it's very varied not one day is the same. I like to keep the home looking nice and fresh for Residents, Staff and all visitors.

Previously I worked in different Care Homes/Hotels as a Maintenance Man for many years. I have 3 children and 5 Stepchildren, I love nothing more than a Football kick around and watching with the children. I enjoy taking our 2 dogs (A Labrador and Springer Spaniel) out for long walks along the beautiful Sussex coast.

I have over 15 years of experience within the care sector.

I enjoy using my skills and knowledge within my role as a carer at ‘Hazel Lodge’ and working in a wonderful home with a great team.

It's lovely getting to know our residents so I can provide the best quality care.

I have many years of experience in the care industry which supports me in my role as a Community Lead at ‘Hazel Lodge’.

My interests are keeping fit and healthy, visiting the gym and having competed in Powerlifting competitions.

I love to set goals and keep motivated. I lead a busy active life whilst maintaining a good social and family life which is important to me.

Hello, my name is Sharon, and I am the Home Services Advisor at Hazel Lodge. I have worked in both residential, memory and nursing care settings since 2009, and I am passionate about providing the very best support and advice for families when choosing the right care home for their loved one.

I love spending time listening to resident's stories and finding out what is important to them and their families. It's a great privilege to be able work in their home and to be able to be a part of making new memories.

Outside of work I'm a country girl at heart, I have 2 horses, 2 dogs, 4 tortoises, 7 chicken and my other half to keep me busy!

Hello, my name is Megan, I am the Activities Coordinator here at Hazel Lodge.

I've been working for Hazel Lodge for around two years, I started off as a carer, went on to being a General Assistant and now have become the Activities Coordinator. Activities is a great fit for me. The largest and best part of my role is ensuring that all of our residents are engaged and that their lives are enriched. I do this by taking into account their life story/history, their interests and hobbies. I work towards and do this to promote their well-being. I will go above and beyond for anyone and have continued to do this within my job role.

I started at Hazel Lodge at the beginning of 2023 and enjoyed the time spent with the residents. I am passionate about providing the very best care with respect and dignity.

I started at Hazel Lodge as a kitchen assistant and after encouragement and support from the team was promoted to 2nd Chef in March 2025.

I love being able to look after the dietary requirements of our residents and creating delicious menus for them to eat.
