Elisha started working at Nodens Manor in March 2023 as the Head Housekeeper. She came into Nodens Manor looking for a change in career with a happy-to-help and positive attitude from the very beginning. Elisha has a diverse background in terms of the many forms of jobs, mostly being in hospitality and housekeeping; she considers herself a kind and caring person outside of work, and thought that she could bring those attributes into the workplace and apply them to the care side of the job role perfectly. “I never thought I could see myself in this career, but now I couldn’t see myself doing anything else! It’s so nice to show compassion and make someone’s day that little bit brighter, to support residents and have a big smile on my face while doing so, so that the residents do too!
Hazel is an experienced Activities Coordinator at Nodens Manor, where she enriches the lives of residents through engaging activities. Before joining Nodens Manor, Hazel worked as a residential support worker in children’s homes, demonstrating her dedication to caregiving. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Hazel provided support in homecare for Guinness Care and gained valuable experience working night shifts in a nursing home in Blakeney, as well as with County Home Care and Radi’s Home Care.
Trained in hospitality, Hazel grew up in a restaurant environment in St Briavels and ran her own coffee shop. She later managed a pub and restaurant in Cornwall.
Now married with two children, Hazel loves her role at Nodens Manor, enjoying the variety of daily activities and building meaningful relationships with residents, fostering a wonderful sense of community.
