Perfect in every way is the best description. The management and staff work so hard to ensure everyone is cared for.
The facilities are like no other home we viewed and from the first meeting we knew this was the place for Mum. The home feels more like home rather than a home.
You are made to feel
welcome every visit and that is down to all the staff who really get to know the residents, their family and friends.

The home has a lovely welcoming feeling and feels more like a quality hotel than a care home. The staff have been excellent and very attentive to my mother’s needs.
The facilities are also really good and once all are fully operational they will bring further enhancement to the residents’ experience.

I can quite honestly say our family's experience of Astley View has been wonderful to date. We first made contact in September to enquire about a place for my mum and management was so helpful, providing us with lots of information, answering all out questions and giving us tours around on several visits.
As a family, we were convinced Astley View was the right place for my mum, we visited many other care homes but in out opinion, Astley View was just perfect for my mum. Happily, my mum moved into Astley View in early December and the staff are all wonderful, every single one!

My mother has recently moved into Astley View as her care needs have increased. I have found the staff attentive and caring. Her room is spacious and nicely decorated with matching furnishings. The bathroom is a wet room which is completely suitable. One of the best things is that it is a brand new,
purpose-built care home and as such, looks like a high-standard hotel.

My father is being cared for at Astley View. The care home is brand new, incredibly clean and well-organised. The food is perfect for my father’s needs and the chefs are incredibly obliging. He has a lot of medical needs and the carers are incredibly professional when dealing with the complexities of
each one. Since he arrived at the care home a few weeks ago, I have felt a huge psychological relief due to him being cared for so well. Each member of the team goes above and beyond when caring for him. I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home and cannot praise it enough within the realms of this review.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

We’re excited to introduce Lancashire-born Christina, our newest addition to the Evermore family, who has taken on the role of home manager at Astley View. Her person-centred approach and passion for providing the best possible care are inspiring and perfectly mirror our values at Evermore. With 20 years of experience in elderly and dementia care under her belt, she will be spearheading the management of Astley View, our new Chorley care home. We sat down with Christina to find out more about her values and vision for Astley View. Let’s see what she had to say!


How do you think you can make an impact at Astley View?


I’m looking forward to bringing my decades of experience and my passion for offering the highest quality care for our residents to my new role at Astley View. My real passion is working in the dementia care sector and this is where I believe I can make a real impact. Having lots of experience managing dementia care homes, I’m excited to bring my wealth of knowledge to Astley View in order to make a real difference to the residents I care for, their loved ones, and my team. I’m keen to bring the community into the home and ensure that our residents continue to be a valuable part of it.


What’s your favourite part of the job?


The best thing about my job is meeting the truly incredible and inspirational people that cross my path. It is an honour to play such a vital role in the lives of others and to learn about what makes them who they are. I love being part of a team who are on hand 24 hours a day to offer expert support to those in need. A lot of the people we care for have lived lives that some of us can only imagine, hearing their stories and memories is such a privilege and the reason that I do what I do.


What are you most looking forward to about the new home?


As a Chorley-born girl myself the introduction of a brand-new state-of-the-art care home in my hometown is even more special. I’m looking forward to watching the huge benefit Astley View will have on both residents and the wider community. The home brings a wealth of opportunity for both the people who are seeking outstanding care facilities in Lancashire and for those looking to work in a high-quality care home for an amazing company that values and supports their team. We offer an excellent level of care, ensuring the residents have everything they need and more by working closely with their loved ones so they can rest easy knowing their family member is safe, comfortable and cared for. It’s exciting to see everything come together.


What’s your vision for Astley View?


My vision for Astley View is to create a home where each resident will receive individualised, bespoke care suited to their needs supported by compassionate staff who work autonomously and sensitively. I know that Astley View will be an outstanding place to work and live, where residents and staff will work together in partnership to create an atmosphere of warmth and respect. I am passionate about making every day a great day for both our residents and our team. I’m excited for the future of Astley View and know that as we move forward and grow, we will still offer the high-quality level of care that you can expect from Evermore.
