The Maples is a purpose-built care home (2023) offering Nursing, Nursing Dementia, Enablement and Residential Care and Support.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. State of the art, innovative technology is used throughout the home enabling the people they support to live a life of meaning and purpose, whatever that means to them.

They choose their teams by assessing emotional intelligence first and attitude second. They train people exceptionally well and their teams love their training and induction to the organisation.

They want to speak with you in person. They realise this decision is one of the hardest ones you will ever make, so they don't expect an email or call will help you make a decision that is right for you, or the person you love.

They are happy for you to drop by at any time to meet them (there are no specific visiting times) - if you would like them to spend time exploring your circumstances and planning next steps - do make contact with them as they will schedule time in their diaries to ensure you have the time and space needed for this important conversation.

The location is south of the M54 and has easy access to Telford town centre with a wealth of shopping and amenities. Telford Centre Train Station is just a short drive away. The home has lovely views of The Wrekin which is 5 miles away.

My 87 year old grandad stayed for 2 weeks for respite, while I went on holiday. He lives with my family and I as he has early Alzheimer’s. He never wanted to go to a care home until he looked around and then couldn’t wait. He loved it, he enjoyed the company and the staff and now attended every week
to visit as a care home ambassador, as he was very good at getting involved in activities and settling new residents. If he ever needs to move into a home, I wouldn’t hesitate in placing him here. The staff are lovely and communication is excellent. The home is brand new and more like a hotel, I’d happily stay myself!

A brand new home.
Lovely decor and facilities. Arranging for Mom to move across to The Maples was easy and efficient with great communication from a staff member.
The staff can't do enough for Mom with even the chef visiting to discuss what foods she likes. Carers sit with Mom to chat and help with
her word searches, nothing seems too much trouble.
Facilities are excellent with day rooms having kitchenette facilities. Gardens will take time to mature but lots of green spaces around the home already.
Indoors they have great security features and a system that alerts staff of unusual movement at night or if a resident has fallen.
It is too soon for me to comment on the daily activities which may be offered.
Mom has put weight on since her arrival and is very happy, which means we are too.

Kevin

Kevin Bradley

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

It is Kevin’s responsibility to lead The Maples’ heart-centred care approach as well as the day-to-day running of the home.


Kevin began his nurse training in 1985, becoming a Registered Mental Nurse in 1988. After moving through the ranks within the NHS, he moved to the private sector in 1993 as a Deputy Manager. Since 1994, Kevin has held the role of Manager/Registered Manager, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to his current role as Home Manager at The Maples.


Kevin embraces the challenge of setting new standards of care at The Maples.
