Warm welcome at the desk. Staff members clearly knew my aunt, referred to her by name and gave me and my mother (her sister) an update on her health when we asked. We sat outside in the lovely garden and helped ourselves to tea as it had been explained how to do. We stayed for lunch which was freshly prepared and very nice. My aunt's room was clean and fresh. We left feeling very happy that she is being so well looked after in a very warm environment.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful review. We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you and your mother had a wonderful visit with your aunt. Our team takes great pride in truly getting to know our residents, so it brings us immense joy to know that you felt that warmth...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are thrilled to hear your high praise for our staff and the care we provide at St Giles View. Your recommendation means a great deal to our entire team. We will miss you.
The organisation was very helpful to get Mum admitted at very short notice for respite care. It soon became clear that she would need End of Life care. Her room was comfortable, clean and peaceful with her own ensuite bathroom. She also had a fantastic view over the South Downs. Every member of staff from the domestics, kitchen and administrative staff were polite, helpful and kind at every contact and the nurses and care staff couldn't not have done more to make mum and our family feel cared for and reassured. I could not have wished for a bettersetting for such a sad event. The support received was phenomenal.
Thank you so much for your kind and touching review. We are deeply moved to hear that our team provided such comfort, care, and reassurance to your mum and your family during a difficult time. Knowing that our staff made a positive difference means a great deal to all of us.
Speaking to the residents given them their time I have recommended St Giles to another family and now I visit more than one resident as that family were able to get their family in. The activity girls do a fabulous job with residents

My mother's room is always so clean, tidy and fresh. She appreciates the attention to detail given by A on each visit. In her words she says "it is a treat to live here." For me I feel mum is able to live in dignity especially also being dressed to be tidy and smart. A reflection of how she live her life
Thank you for sharing your kind feedback. We are delighted to hear that your mother's room is always kept clean and that living here feels like a treat. Knowing that your mother is comfortable and cared for with dignity means a great deal to our team.
I spent 2 weeks at St Giles View for rehabilitation following an operation. I arrived feeling quite helpless & left in a much improved physical state. The staff in all their various roles, were kind, caring & cheerful. St Giles itself was amazing with its beautiful garden and incredible view. Thank you to all concerned.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this wonderful review. It is great to hear that your stay with us supported your recovery, and I will be sure to pass your positive feedback on to the team at SGV, who will be delighted to know how pleased you were with the care and support provided.
Our Godmother has been in the home for the past 5 months. We have found the atmosphere in the home to be so friendly, with all the staff being approachable and helpful with any request and need that we bring up whether it be admin, a painting on the wall or concern about her pain, nothing seems too much trouble. My godmother is always saying how kind the staff are and we are so grateful for the professional care that they give. The home were also super supportive to us when we celebrated a birthday recently, helping to facilitate decoration and all that we needed, including a delicious cake, to host this in the cafe space. It is a lovely place to come and visit and also an easy place to leave our Godmother when we go as she seems very comforatable and at peace with the staff, friends and routine now that she has settled in. Many thanks to all there for creating this place.
Thank you for taking the time to give such a fabulous review of our care home and the wonderful team at St Giles View, who always do their best to ensure everyone has a great experience. We are so pleased that your Godmother enjoyed her birthday celebrations.
I find the Brendoncare home at St Giles View to be an excellent facility. The building is beautiful, set in a quiet, peaceful, relaxing gardens and views. The whole team from top to bottom are friendly, caring and professional. The home is very clean setting high standards. It has been created in a way to stimulate the residents and feels homely and comfortable. The menus are fabulous. All in all this home is a home I would highly recommend to others. First class. Well done to all working at St Giles.
Thank you for the 5-star review! We are so glad we could provide excellent care for you and your loved one. I will be sure to share your kind words with the team!
The review relates to 2 weeks care and initial thoughts on that care and the home. I have been genuinely impressed by the daily care and attention paid to my mother. The staff have been warm, welcoming and attentive. I always leave feeling my mother is safe and well looked after. I am hugely grateful to all their efforts on her behalf. They are all champions.
Thank you for your lovely review . All of us at SGV are happy that mum has enjoyed her stay, and felt safe and well looked after. I will share your comments to my team .
Made a very special effort for Mum on her birthday with garlands, balloons and a cake with candles delivered as a group to a chorus of happy birthday
Mums meds were 60-90 minutes late one day which made Mum sick for a hour which we all struggled with. The carer in charge was very apologetic.
I am pleased to hear that Mum enjoyed lovely birthday celebrations and the cake was appreciated. I am disappointed to hear that her medication was delayed on one occasion and that this caused her to feel unwell. I will investigate this and will take steps to ensure Mum's medication timings are closely adhered to in future.
I am so pleased that we found BrendonCare St Giles View for my father. He was only saying on my recent visit he appreciates how kind and caring everyone is. He also commented how everywhere is kept so clean. Since moving my father to St Giles View my concerns regarding his welfare have been alleviated, the care received is outstanding. When I visit everyone is so very helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the excellent staff, I cannot praise and express my gratitude to you all enough. Thank you.
We're so happy to hear that both you and your father feel good about the care and support from everyone in the SGV team. It's...
We were impressed on our first visit and have not changed our view since. Mum took time to settle in but all the staff were kind and caring and actually persuaded her in the end (although she was reluctant to let her family know this!) The Home was very clean and comfortable, Mum enjoyed the activities and made friends. We were also made welcome and enjoyed the cafe and cakes. It was nice that every staff member said hello to us and also knew Mum's name.
Thank you very much for your 5 star review. It was so lovely to have your Mum, you and your family here as part of Brendoncare. Your Mum was very lovely and she will be much missed by the all team at St Giles View .
I am very grateful for the care and consideration shown to my mother in her last two years when she was increasingly frail which coincided with her move from another care home to St Giles. In Nov. 2025 my mother reached 100 (which she had been determined to do) and in spite of her frailness she was able to enjoy the day thanks to her carers. We had a small champaigne party and a delicious cake baked in the home's kitchens. Sadly just over a month later she died peacefully thanks to the good care she received, and I also greatly appreciated the kind attentions I received at that time.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Our team at Gt Giles view care home is thrilled to hear that they provided care to your mother with dignity and respect and also that the team looked after you during such an emotional time. Thank you again for the lovely comments.
I didn't see any activities though was told there had been a quiz that morning; and I've no idea what my friend is paying.
Thank you so much for taking time giving us lovely comments ! We're glad that you enjoyed your time at St Giles View. I will pass your comments to the team.

Meet the Team (6)

I am delighted to have joined the St Giles View team. I am enjoying meeting and getting to know my colleagues, our residents, family, friends, and members of the local community.
Above all, I am passionate about looking after people and using my teaching skills to help further develop the team here at St Giles View.

I am grateful to work alongside such a dedicated, extremely hard-working team. We all share a common goal of making a difference in other people’s lives and being able to put a smile on their faces.

Victoria Robbins (also known as Tor) is the Administrator at Brendoncare St Giles View and is passionate about working for charities. Following a steady career in Administrator/ Business roles, Tor has gained relevant training throughout.
Joining Brendoncare has continued her belief that an Administrator role is the backbone of every organisation and contributes to helping others. Outside of work, Tor has a wonderful family and enjoys being active.

I have an excellent knowledge of the care sector having worked in social care since 2013, firstly as a specialist dementia CareGiver and then as a community support and engagement Manager. I joined Brendoncare in 2017 as the first Customer Relations Manager and have been involved in the opening of Otterbourne Hill and, most recently, St Giles View. My role involves offering support and advice to anyone looking for care for themselves or their loved ones and ensuring that their move goes as smoothly as possible. In my spare time, I enjoy going for walks with my dog ‘Torvi’ and spending time with family. I am also a trained singer and used to run a dementia-friendly choir.

I joined Brendoncare St Giles View in September 2025, and it has been a highly supportive environment where I’ve been able to grow both professionally and personally.
After successfully completing my probation, I was given the opportunity to undertake the Level 5 Leader in Adult Care qualification, which reflects the organisation’s commitment to staff development.
The team is fantastic—supportive, dedicated, and always working together toward a shared goal: improving the quality of life for residents every single day.

I am passionate about creating a warm, safe, and positive environment where residents can maintain their independence while receiving the highest standard of care.
I take great pride in ensuring residents feel happy, comfortable, and truly valued every day, building strong and trusting relationships with both them and their families.
I strongly believe that positivity within the team is key to delivering excellent care. I enjoy supporting and encouraging colleagues, promoting a culture of respect, teamwork, and open communication so everyone feels confident in their role.
By working together and maintaining a positive atmosphere, I aim to ensure the best possible outcomes for both residents and staff.
