Very smooth and caring transition for my dad moving in. Staff at the new home have been very friendly and approachable.
Food is wonderful and already Dad looks healthier and loves the constant warmth of the care home.

Came in to see my friend today, a lovely welcome from the staff, asked if I would like a coffee and cake, but I declined as just had one in yate.
The lovely carer showed me around the building and it's such a lovely warm feeling in there.
She looks so happy in there and has settled in very well and
lovely to her. Keep up the good teamwork. See you soon.

We moved my Mother here from a Bristol care home, two days ago, to be closer to me so that I could visit her more often and with an easier journey. From the moment we visited, the staff have been so helpful, professional and courteous. We were invited to stay for dinner with Mother on the day she moved
in, and the meal was excellent. The chef ensured everything was perfect.
Mother took a little while to get accustomed but is now very happy in her new surroundings. We are working together to ensure my Mother gets the best possible care, and I cannot fault anyone or anything.

My mother-in-law moved into Ladden View this week, took a day to settle in. This morning I went in, she had a lovely smile on her face and already loves her bed.
The manager and all the staff have gone the extra mile for my mother-in-law and for us as a family.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2024

I’m a qualified Mental Health Nurse, and I was keen to join Care UK after reading about their core values of caring, passion and teamwork, which align with my own values. I’m passionate about delivering excellent care, and I love working as part of our committed and skilled team. We put residents and their families first and foremost in everything we do.


As a Home Manager, I believe it’s important to have effective communication skills: both written and verbal communication play a vital role. I interact with colleagues, residents, families and other stakeholders, so strong leadership skills, an ability to remain calm under pressure, clinical expertise and good decision-making skills are also key.


My favourite part of each day is getting to spend time with the residents, chatting and having a laugh. I also enjoy working with my colleagues as a team towards a goal. It’s a great feeling when we achieve it.


Every day in a care home is different and brings new challenges. It’s wonderful to see the service transform, the staff develop into a cohesive team and residents be happy and content with the service you provide.


When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and exploring the countryside, especially visiting National Trust sites.
