As a family we are so pleased to have chose Long Stone Manor. The support and openness of both the management and wider team is exceptional. Each time we visit, we are warmly welcomed making the entire situation family like, which our dad is a key part of a wider family - thank you to all for the way in which a safe, secure, and caring environment has been established.

I urgently required a care home for my mother for 6wks respite care and was lucky enough to get her in Longstone Manor..I met the manager and her team and found them all extremely kind caring and very approachable they would go above and beyond to be helpful. They were welcoming and kept me fully informed on how my mum was settling into the home.Longstone is outstanding the accommodation is very clean large rooms and lovely modern en suite facilities in each room. It's light airy and decorated to a high standard. The food menu is amazing with lots of choice. I highly recommend Longstone Manor

My husband had his first experience of respite care in Long Stone Manor. Although he found the first few days hard, he settled down and used his time to relax and read. He found the carers very helpful and friendly. He really liked the food! It was good to have all his care needs met and to have his laundry done. We would love to use Long Stone Manor again.

The person that I come to visit is a dear friend who I love so much, he was in another care home which we thought was great but Long Stone Manor is on another level, what a great care home, staff are absolutely amazing, the care is on a whole new level and excellent, the entrainment they put on is fantastic and consistent, having a little cafe, salon, bar cinema is great for the the residents as it must make them feel that they have been out on a trip. I just can't praise it enough. My friend is so happy looks so well and so well care for. I can't rate LongStone Manor and staff highly enough. Thank you for everything you do.

All in all Longstone Manor is an excellent care home,with dedicated staff, delicious food and it is spotlessly clean. I have no hesitation in recommending this place.

This review is regarding the care of my mother in law over the last 4 months of her life. She was admitted from home with quite advanced dementia and a number of medical problems. Throughout the time she spent in Longstone Manor every aspect of the care was exemplary. The review rules don't permit the identification of individuals but we could name at least a dozen staff from carers to team leaders, managers and admin who absolutely went the extra mile to ensure that my mother in law was looked after with great kindness in every regard and that we as her family were welcomed and communicated with in a friendly, sympathetic and highly professional manner. Great efforts were made to adapt to the specific needs of my MIL - from daily encouragement in to activities and mealtimes to personalised snacks when she didn't fancy going to meals. The facilities are all of a very high standard and well kept. We would recommend Longstone Manor without reservation.

My father received respite care for a 4 month period at Long Stone Manot. He was welcomed and treated with the utmost kindness & respect by all the staff. My father was very fond of & speaks very highly of the nursing team who cared for him during his stay. He enjoyed the chats he had with the staff, especially the football banter! All the staff we encountered during his stay, from the management team to the nursing team were professional & empathetic, ensuring any concerns my father raised were addressed and his clinical needs met. Unfortunately, during his stay, my father sustained a mechanical fall which resulted in him being admitted to hospital for a couple of nights. The staff acted promptly & kept me updated re. his transfer to hospital and his overall condition. On his return to the residential home, the staff implemented a number of measures to further reduce his risk of falls. I cannot fault the care my father received and I have no hesitation in recommending this facility

When my husband, who has Alzheimer's, came here at the beginning of August he was made so welcome. He settled in quite quickly and never asks to come home with me. He loves his room and the food and the staff and is always contented when I visit. I feel a great sense of relief that he is so well cared for and I can just enjoy visiting him. This is his home now and I love it too.

As a regular visitor - I am always welcomed and made to feel quite special. The different rooms to sit in with your family member / friend are just lovely. If we want drinks, cakes, fruit - it is all there to help yourself. We often sit in the cinema and watch a film together while chatting or sometimes play cards in the cafe. It is a wonderful environment for all. Thank you to all the staff who have made this process as seamless and stress free as possible for us. You are all amazing.

Absolutely three weeks well spent!

My father recently stayed at Long Stone Manor for a two week respite break, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The staff, food and activities were excellent, and he thoroughly enjoyed his time there. When he and/or his partner need another break, I won't hesitate in using Long Stone Manor again.

Mum had a fantastic stay at Longstone Manor convalescing from a hip replacement operation in June 2025. The quality of care, environment, food and the friendliness of the team made Mum feel at home immediately and helped her to regain her confidence quickly after the operation.

The accommodation is first rate and I really can't fault anything.

Long Stone Manor is definitely a home we would recommend.

I would like to thank the staff at Long Stone Manor, who helped care for my Dad recently. I felt that everyone who helped my Dad did so with the most sincere kindness, patience, dedication and heartfelt good humour. I know that Dad was happy during his stay at Long Stone Manor, thanks again to everyone who cared for him.

If I was looking for a care home for a member of my family it would certainly be at the top of my list!

My mother has been a resident for almost 2 months. The property and standard of care are both excellent. So much so that my father is moving in also. The home provided a fabulous meal for their 64th wedding anniversary which included my wife and I in a private dining room.
