Back in June 2026 my Aunt has recently made her home at Egterton Manor and has settled very well within in this establishment. The Management team are supportive and welcoming, and the whole family as made the transition for my Aunt a very less stressful and upsetting procedure , and turned it into a positive experience for my Aunt and us as a family. Ghe home is spotlessly clean and the food and amenties are absolutley 5 star rating. Thanks so much Egerton Manorx

Grandad is at Egerton Manor. I can't rate it highly enough. The care shown by the staff, home is beautiful, and he is very happy here. Would recommend to anyone needing a care home. Nothing is ever too much to ask.

What a wonderful care home this is! Without exception, the staff show so much love, care and compassion for the residents in their care and treat them with the utmost dignity and respect. As relatives, we are always made to feel so welcome and love visiting and experiencing the relaxed, happy, loving atmosphere and hearing the residents' laughter and chatting together. A diverse range of activities (including trips out!) are on offer morning and afternoon, seven days a week. It has been great to see Mum joining in with these with enthusiasm! The home facilities are comfortable and modern, and the garden areas are a lovely place to sit and have a sing song in the sunshine! Relatives are also able to share a delicious meal with the residents in the dining room. The food is delicious!
Thank you so much, we really appreciate your feedback, it is wonderful to read about your experience when visiting Egerton Manor. I will share your feedback with all the team.
If you were to describe a care home ideal for a loved one; caring staff, beautiful environment, top class food, activities all day long then that is what Egerton Manor is. Every member of staff is excellent, I could not be happier with it and more importantly my mum absolutely loves it. I would recommend it to anyone.

I guess no one would choose to be in a care home, but Egerton Manor is nothing like a care home - it's more like a 5 star hotel. All the staff are wonderfully kind and caring, and really go above and beyond to make residents feel like it's home and visitors feel like they are truly welcomed. You simply won't find a more supportive place.

My mum came for 2 weeks respite before christmas - now permanent. She has settled really well and is very much enjoying the activities. The staff are very patient and caring. The food is varied and delicious - good that there is a choice. Her room is always clean. My one niggle is communication - i.e to the family. This is the only thing that could be improved.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this thoughtful review. We're pleased to hear that your mum has settled in well and is enjoying the activities, food choices and the support from our team. Your feedback about communication with families is valuable, and we will ensure this is reviewed so we can continue to improve our service. Thank you again for your comments.
My mum has settled really well here at Egerton Manor. All staff have been very helpful and accommodating in ensuring she feels at home, from her room, food choices and eating with the other residents. Her confidence and overall wellbeing has massively improved. It has been wonderful visiting my mum and seeing her so happy and also being able to just be her daughter again, sitting and chatting. We are both very happy.

Although I have no personal experience of Egerton Manor, I am a good friend of one of your residents, and my daughter is linked through work. I am therefore very happy to provide a review. I understand Egerton Manor Care Home provides the highest standards of care and safety. The staff are fully dedicated and provide an excellent environment for wellbeing.

Egerton Manor is a beautiful care home throughout with fantastic facilities which are very well maintained. More importantly though the staff are fabulous, so caring, hardworking and genuinely concerned for the needs of all the residents. It's so reassuring to know my mum is being looked after to such a high standard. The entertainment team are brilliant too and everyday arrange fun, inclusive and varied activities and outings. Mealtimes are such a treat, beautifully set dining tables, restaurant quality meals and lovely staff members looking after everyone. I thoroughly enjoy visiting my mum and seeing her so happy and having gained so many lovely new friends, they're like one big happy family.
Our team will be thrilled to read your kind words. They work incredibly hard to create a warm, caring and family-like environment, so...
My only slight criticism is that recently, I've struggled to get through on the telephone+ get an update on how my dad is doing. Living in Derbyshire, it's important to be able to get these updates. Appreciate that many times in the day staff are busy with residents.
My mum could not be better cared for. The staff here are amazing. The rooms are beautiful. The food delicious. My mum has so improved in herself - being more positive, laughing, dementia receding. Mum loves the company of both staff and other guests. The entertainment is excellent, day trips out. Great outdoors. Everything 100%. Thank you you have helped take away a lot of stress and worries.
The recent changes in management are very well received and I feel confident that the home will be in safe hands and the residents will continue to experience high quality care.
My Mum received fantastic, thoughtful care on the second floor whilst recovering from a hospital admission. All staff were a credit to Egerton Manor and she particularly enjoyed the food. Great liaison with family too.Thank you
What a wonderful home. All the staff, whatever your needs, are there for you. Very professional and I want to thank them for the kindness they showed. This is more than a home. Every day activities going on, trips, you are never alone. The company of other people. They go above and beyond, and you won't find another home (hotel). 5 stars plus. Exceeded my hope for the future. First class.
Thank you for your beautiful review of our care home. I will share your comments with our team.
The staff were very attentive and helpful at most times. Unfortunately for my aunt, there were too many curry/spicy food meals which my aunt does not like, as indeed many older people do not, with only limited alternatives available.
Thank you for your kind review, we do offer a wide selection of home cooked meals with an additional light bites menu every day for our residents to choose from. I will pass your comments to our catering team.
I have had two longish periods of respite care this year at Egerton Manor, both of which were excellent in every way. I have felt cared for and consulted at all times by staff who are a skilled and forever cheerful bunch of colleagues. Egerton Manor is a very welcoming and supportive environment. No one can really know exactly what is expected when they are looking for this kind of living support, whether it be temporary or permanent, but I have been very happy with my decision to choose Egerton and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
Thank you for your lovely review and recommendation of Egerton Manor. We are so pleased you enjoyed your two periods of respite stay with us and wish you well for the future.
One lady makes a lovely cup of tea. Lovely nursing home, very modern, clean and a joy to visit. Knowing residents are being well cared for takes a weight off our minds.
Thank you for your kind review. You are always welcome any time to come for a cup of tea and a piece of cake. We look forward to seeing you again soon.I will share your review with the team.
My aunt has been living at Egerton Manor for over 6 months. She loves the accommodation and is extremely happy with the staff and the care she receives. All the family and friends who visit her have commented on the cleanliness, the wonderful facilities and friendly and helpful staff. We couldn't ask for a better environment for her and we are delighted to see her happy and thriving.
Thank you for your wonderful review of our home and staff I will share your feedback with all of our team.

Meet the Team (4)

Hi, I’m Donna, the Manager here at Egerton Manor. I have worked in social care for 37 years, starting my career on a YTS scheme before progressing to a general manager in August 2005.
I am incredibly passionate about what I do and strive for excellence. This allows me to create an inclusive, caring, safe environment for people to live. The well-being and happiness of our residents are at the heart of everything I do, and my goal every day is to provide high-quality care and make a positive difference to the people I support.
I am a proud wife and mother to 3 children and 3 grandchildren, and I love my two doggies, Beau and Teddy!

I have worked at Egerton Manor since March 2024 and have recently been appointed as the Head of Care here at the home. I personally find that working with the elderly is an immensely rewarding career, and I love the fact that I am making a difference in the lives of the residents who live here in the home. I have always lived in Bolton and was brought up in the Harwood area. I still live there now, along with my husband Mark, twelve-year-old twins Ava & Daniel, and our miniature sausage dog, Martha. Previous to starting work at Egerton Manor, I held a Deputy Home Manager position for a large care organisation in Bolton. I have worked within the Health and social care sector for over 25 years in various roles, and by doing so, I feel that I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience which I can cascade to our members of staff.
In my spare time (Not that I have a lot of it!!), I enjoy watching my son Daniel play Rugby and Football, and my little girl Ava competes in Street dance competitions all over the country. I have recently been lucky enough to visit Greece twice. My first holiday was to Rhodes, which I visited with my husband and the twins, and then, most recently, I visited the beautiful island of Kefalonia with my mum. My hobbies include walking, gardening, travelling and socialising with my family and friends.
