The care home has been a wonderfully welcoming new home. A lot of care was given to every aspect of my mother's needs and i have been consistently comforted and impressed by the staff. They are genuinely caring, patient and engaging. The facilities are modern and to a high specification, the food good

My Wife's Sister / Sister-in- Law is well looked after. All the staff are very caring and attentive toward our Sister/Sister-in Law's needs.
When visiting it is a delight to see our Sister/Sister-in Law and to see how settled she is at the Home and in her Room, which is well kept, airy and comfortable.
Being
provided with a cup tea when visiting is also a joint treat.
All in all it is a super environment for our Sister / Sister-in Law.

Furzefield is a lovely, quite new, care home. In comparison to others, it stood out to us when we were looking around for my mum. Most of the staff are warm, welcoming, caring and kind, all seem to have good experience. The facilities are excellent and the decor, situation and upkeep all align well.
Exceptionally clean. Activities are provided, could perhaps be more varied with opportunities for different groups and abilities - more activity assistants needed. Who is there tries very hard indeed but it's a big job. Singers, yoga lady, artists etc regularly visit which are all popular and the odd trip out is also available. Gardens are lovely and hopefully these will become more utilised with different areas to encourage residents to engage further. Food is generally good it seems. Overall pleased with the experience and extremely grateful for the care given. A few of the carers such as Sam and the 2 Sarah's really go above and beyond and have been invaluable.
Reply from Sara Heath, Customer Relations Manager at Furze Field ManorThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and detailed review. Your kind comments about our team, facilities, cleanliness, and welcoming environment mean a great deal to us. We are especially grateful for your recognition of staff members such as Sam and the two Sarahs - we will ensure your lovely feedback is shared with them, as they will be truly touched to know the difference they have made to your mum's experience.

We also appreciate your constructive comments regarding activities and resident engagement. Providing meaningful and varied opportunities for all residents is very important to us, and your feedback is invaluable as we continue to develop and improve our activities programme and outdoor spaces.

To helping my Mum understand a stay at Furze Field would be beneficial right through to assisting her moving in, settling, encouraging and comforting Mum, I could not have asked for more.

As with all new experiences, it has taken Mum a while to settle but I'm so thankful for the amazing staff who support

her with everything she needs; from medication to entertainment right through to ensuring her room is tidy and her clothes are clean - a wonderful service.

I also want to acknowledge the help I've received as a daughter in navigating the unpredictability, pain and deep sense of loss that comes with a parent suffering from dementia. I am learning news ways to embrace a 'shifting' relationship with my Mum and this is due to the empathy and professional advice I receive from all the staff at Furze Field.

Reply from Sara Heath, Customer Relations Manager at Furze Field ManorThank you so much for your incredibly kind and heartfelt words.
It means a great deal to know that weve been able to support both you and your Mum during what we understand can be a very emotional and challenging time. Moving into care is a big step, and were so pleased to hear that your Mum is settling in with the help of our dedicated team.
Our staff are truly passionate about providing not just high-quality care, but also comfort, dignity, and meaningful moments each day whether thats through attentive support, engaging activities, or simply taking the time to listen.
We also recognise that dementia affects the whole family, and were really glad weve been able to offer you guidance and reassurance as you navigate this journey with your Mum. Supporting those shifting relationships with empathy and understanding is at the heart of what we do.

My mother spent two weeks at Furze Field Manor in July to experience respite care as she is planning to move in permanently some time in 2026. The staff, facilities & food were all first-class and she preferred the large, bright airy feel of the building compared to other (older) care homes which
seemed rather 'tired'. Recommended.

My mother recently had two weeks of respite care at Furze Field Manor after a long stay in hospital. Having been invited to view Furzefield Manor Care Home by the General Manager we knew that this was the perfect choice for our relative living with dementia.
All staff were welcoming and the attention/care given to the individual needs of the residents, was very impressive.
The home build and facilities

The care home is still settling down following an opening just over a year ago. The dedication and care of the nursing and cleaning staff is remarkable. The facilities are good but communication between the ground and first floor is not so good, with the first floor tending to be left out. Personally
apart from the food which was terrible but a change of chef may have improved. I found the two week respite stay was exactly what I required. It is a very friendly and caring care home,

Jacquie Ferguson

Job Title: General Manager Joined: 2025

With over 30 years of experience in the care sector as a Registered Nurse, Jacquie has dedicated her career to elderly care and care homes. Having worked as both a Registered Nurse and Home Manager, she has also taken on senior leadership roles as an Operations Area Manager and Regional Manager for two large healthcare companies. What Jacquie loves most about her role is the personal connections she builds—whether it’s with residents, their families, or her care team. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and three lively Jack Russells and escaping to Spain, where she can relax with a good book.
