I am carer for my wife who has advanced Parkinson's. I had an operation and therefore booked both of us into St. Cross Grange for 4 weeks respite care to enable me to recover. Everything about the home was lovely especially the caring staff and the lovely spacious areas throughout the home. The care, food, cleanliness etc was excellent,
Thank you for this lovely feedback. I am so glad we could support you both at this time. I will share with the team.
St Cross Grange supported my husband through the transition from home to respite and then back to home well. We were reassured throughout and everyone was very positive which helped me have peace of mind. He enjoyed his meals and took part in the activities even through the very hot weather.
Thank you for your very lovely feedback. We are tremendously proud of our team and I am so glad you felt supported. I will of course share your comments with them.
I arranged to stay for 1 week after having a total knee replacement - but on visiting, pre-operatively, there was such a calm, peaceful atmosphere, I changed to 2 weeks. I was given the correct ratio of care: independence for my recovery.Time well spent. All the staff were caring and worked well together as a team for the benefit of the residents. I was impressed, in the dining room at lunchtime, a senior nurse discreetly observed residents eating lunch - appetite, etc. One of my visitors commented it was the best care home they had visited in a professional capacity.
Thank you for such a lovely review. I ma so glad our team could help you with your recovery
A warm, loving, caring place. I was scared - now I'm at home. I was frightened of giving up my independence. Now I am learning to be dependent without bitterness. I was lost and alone, now I have friends and feel no longer a stranger.
the staff and carers are all very attentive - we are very impressed - they have clearly lifted his spirits
I am so glad that you feel uplifted by our care team. We are so proud of the home and how a positive vibrancy can make such a difference to peoples lives. I am sure I can speak for all, in thanking you for taking the time to complete this review, it's very much appreciated.
The whole team has been so warm, welcoming and kind making this huge transition so much easier.
Carla, the clinical lead gave my mum and I several hours to choose the right room with no sense of rush at all. (Even though it was a Monday morning and lots going on!) My mum was particularly anxious about the absence of a decent size cabinet in the bathroom for all her various bottles, and no hook on the door. Within a few days, the team purchased and put up a new cabinet and the lovely maintainance guy took time to put up my mother's pictures paying time and attention to where Mum wanted them placed. The reception team Robert and Page have also been so welcoming and lovely.
Although it's early days, all these little things have made such a difference to mum and me in terms of feeling we have made the right choice.
Thank you so much to the whole team!
Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. I am so glad that you have both felt supported by the team. It is such a pleasure for them to gain recognition for what they do, as you say the little things really matter. I will share with them all
Every time I visit my dad, I'm even more impressed. The staff are incredibly friendly & caring, the food is excellent, & the facilities are outstanding. Communication is also fantastic; the team always keep us informed & up to date, which gives us real peace of mind.
Thank you to everyone for the wonderful care & support you provide. Please keep up the great work!
What fantastic feedback. I am so pleased that you have all settled into our extended family so well. We are hugely proud of our team and the 'over and above' attitude they hold with our families and residents. As always I will share your thoughts with them. I am truly glad that you are all happy.
Very grand building on entry up the drive. Exquisite when you walk into the entrance hall, warm and welcoming - high quality furniture and furnishings throughout. Outstanding cleanliness throughout. All staff are kind, considerate and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Food is excellent with such choice. My father absolutely loves living here and has made many friends. Always something to do as there are lots of activities.
What lovely comments. We are so happy that your Father has settled in so well. As always I will let the team know. It is always wonderful to share the positive feedback that they deserve, thank you for taking the time to share.
My grandfather has just moved into this most beautiful home. All furniture and furnishings are of such good quality - everywhere is so clean and all staff are so friendly and very helpful. The conservatory is very much his favourite place which looks out into the garden. I would most definitely recommend this home to anyone.
How very kind of you to take the time to feedback to our team. We are so glad you feel comfortable, thank you for your recommendation.
I came to see my best friends dad the care home was immaculate, staff very helpful, friendly nothing to much of a problem, very homely with lovely rooms.
Thank you for this smashing feedback. I am so glad that family and friends feel welcome and comfortable in our lovely home. I will share your views with the whole team. Thank you
My 4 months stay here has been very beneficial for my recovery from a back injury. I was able to walk along the very spacious and bright long corridors every day, stopping if I wished in one of several beautifully decorated and homely lounges. I would like to praise the staff for being very friendly, caring, and patient with everyone. I will definitely miss "The Grange" which has been a home from home, and the wonderful staff. Would highly recommend.
What lovely feedback, thank you so much. We are very proud of our team and the support they provide and it is such a joy that they have helped you in your recovery.
I was a service user at St Cross Grange Care Home for a respite week following surgery. The home is clean and well staffed, the food is plenty, varied and tastefully cooked and presented. There are plenty of spaces to sit- other than one's room- on one's own or with visitors. The staff knew their residents by name and their physical and dietary needs. It's a home I could recommend to others.
Thank you for your very kind words. I am so glad you were comfortable with us and we were able to contribute to your recovery. As always I will let the team know, it is so very nice for them to receive positive feedback, thank you.
1. Totally professional
2. Completely calm and caring and kindness

My grandmother was always scared about moving into care but when I visit her I can see she is very happy and loved by all the staff. Everyone is very focused on giving her the best level of care available.
What heart warming feedback. I am so proud of our team and to hear they make you and your grandmother feel so assured is wonderful. Thank you for your time taken to let us know, I will share with all.
I had been my mother's primary carer for 8 years and was concerned about her care once she had deteriorated and I could not look after her anymore. St Cross Grange is an excellent facility and have provided her with excellent care in a kind and loving environment. She has advanced dementia but is happy and content thanks to the superb staff. I cannot praise them enough.

We needed to find a nursing home urgently for my 93 year old mum after a significant fall. St Cross Grange were brilliant from the start. Everyone in the team has made mum feel welcome and we feel very supported as a family. All the staff are approachable and friendly and we feel that mum's new nursing needs are being very well accommodated.
It has been our absolute pleasure to support you all as a family. Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to give us this feedback. As always I will share with the whole team and know they will be very appreciative.
My husband received the highest quality of nursing and personal care until he passed away. Their support was beyond amazing. The home even invested in a new special bed in order to aid his comfort and safety in his last few weeks.
What lovely comments, thank you so much for taking the time to give this feedback. It is really appreciated by the team when families acknowledge what they do every day to support the care we deliver. I will of course share with all.
So impressed with all the staff. Attentive, approachable, honest and professional. Whenever any issues are needed to be discussed they are dealt with quickly and politely. It is also clear that all the staff know my Dad personally. Thank you.

Hello, I’m Nicki, and I’m an experienced Chef Manager with over 15 years in the catering industry. I’m delighted to be part of the team here. I worked my way up from Catering Assistant, trained at college, and achieved my NVQ in Catering, which gave me a strong foundation in food preparation, kitchen management, and team leadership.
After 13 years in my previous role, I made the decision to step away from my career for a period to care for my father. That experience gave me a new perspective and motivated me to seek a fresh challenge, bringing my skills, dedication, and passion for food into the next stage of my career.
I’m passionate about offering a wide variety of fresh, tasty, home-cooked meals and sweet treats, using seasonal produce wherever possible. Whether it’s hearty comfort food, delicious homemade bakes, or healthy fruit platters, I want to make sure that my food, and my team’s food, is enjoyed by everyone.
I’m also really keen to hear feedback and suggestions, so I can tailor menus around the types of meals people most like to see and enjoy.

I have had an extensive career in maintenance and compliance within schools in West and East London. I live locally and am now utilising my practical skills at St Cross Grange. I am passionate about supporting the home and thoroughly enjoy working with residents and the dedicated team . I am enthusiastic about coming to work every day in such a lovely working environment .
