My dad has been in the care of Lincombe Manor for a whole month now, having arrived from our hospital, where he had been for one month, and the improvement in my dad is amazing, all due to the care and compassion from the staff. I feel my dad is very well cared for, he is safe and all the staff are
lovely. The food is lovely and caters to your needs. I leave after a visit feeling assured he is certainly receiving the best care possible, thank you Nichola and your team.
Reply from Nicola Grace, General Manager at Lincombe Manor Care CentreThank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. I can't believe your dad has already been with us for a month. It has been a pleasure to see how well he is progressing and improving. Our chefs have certainly helped him rediscover his enjoyment of food.
It makes us all very proud to know that you have experienced the care and compassion shown by our team, and that you have the reassurance of knowing your dad is safe and receiving the best possible care.
We all enjoy your visits to the home and look forward to seeing you on your next visit.

Mum found Hewitt Lodge a comfortable, clean and very homely! She very much enjoyed the companionship with the other residents and appreciated the freedom of choice offered! The staff were kind, caring and efficient and I would be happy to return in the future! No complaints!! Great news!!
Please note
the only negative comment from my mother was she was woken abruptly one morning by a woman not in uniform who she didn't know/recognise and never saw again?!
Reply from Nicola Grace, General Manager at Lincombe Manor Care CentreThank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. It is wonderful to hear that your mum found her stay comfortable, clean and homely, and that she enjoyed the companionship of the other residents. It's especially pleasing to know she appreciated the freedom of choice we aim to offer and that our team made such a positive impression through their kindness, care and professionalism.
Thank you also for bringing your mum's concern about being woken one morning to our attention. Following a conversation, we were pleased that we were able to reassure you. As you know, the home is secure and access is carefully controlled, so our residents' safety is always our priority. We encourage families to share any concerns with us so that we can investigate them promptly and provide reassurance where needed.
Your kind words mean a great deal to the team. It's lovely to hear she is looking forward to returning, and we look forward to welcoming her back to Lincombe Manor in the future.

I have visited my great aunt a few times at Park Manor now and it's always lovely. There is a lovely feel about the place. The staff are brilliant and are always at hand to help with a smile. My aunt is very happy there and always tells me about all the things that are going on. She enjoys the various
activities that are on and she loves the food and cakes. Claudia the manager is very friendly as are all the staff. I enjoy visiting my aunt there as it's a really beautiful building.

We chose this home because of the CQC rating of good, this is clearly out of date. It is poorly managed and predominantly a money making concern. Individual carers try hard but there is not enough of them and qualified staff contribute little. My mother was discharged there from hospital where she had
become malnourished and dehydrated. Wehn we visited there drinks and suppliments on a table in her room which she could not reach and she was thirsty. We coud not get reliable information on her continence issues and she didn't eat because the food was so poor. She was paying nearly £2000 per week and the profit margins are enhanced by poor quality food and insufficient staff. She was unhappy. the nursing staff solution was to push for antidepressants despite her previous history of confusion we were ignored, representing mums interests labelled us as difficult. They day she left this expensive poorly run facility we were delighted.
Reply from Nicola Grace, General Manager at Lincombe Manor Care CentreThank you for your review. We value all feedback at Lincombe Manor and were disappointed to read your comments, as many of the concerns raised were not brought to our attention during your mother's stay with us.
We pride ourselves on the person-centred care we provide, supported by good staffing levels and close collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure residents receive care that is tailored to their individual needs and delivered in their best interests.
We continually seek feedback from residents and families to help us maintain and improve our services. Should you wish to discuss any aspect of your mother's stay further, we would be happy to speak with you directly.
Whilst we are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations, we appreciate you taking the time to share your views and wish your mother well for the future.

My grandma had a 4 week respite stay at Mewitt Lodge, part of Lincombe Manor Care Centre. When I visited her she looked well cared for and happy. Hewitt Lodge and Lincombe Manor really is a home from home. What a delight to see not only my grandma, but all the residents and staff looking so happy. I
cannot recommend this care home enough!

Excellent care home for the planned respite visit. It has the feel of a hotel and it is also a nice place to visit relatives. The activity leader was a joy and cheered all the residents up. Staff were caring and respectful to the residents. Food was extremely good and opportunities to socialise were
well provided. Generally the experience seemed to be as good a one as is possible if the elderly person cannot stay at their own home.

My 4 months stay here has been very beneficial for my recovery from a back injury. I was able to walk along the very spacious and bright long corridors every day, stopping if I wished in one of several beautifully decorated and homely lounges. I was a service user at St Cross Grange Care Home for a respite week following surgery. The home is clean and well staffed, the food is plenty, varied and tastefully cooked and presented. There are plenty of spaces to sit- other than one's room- on one's own or with visitors. The staff knew their residents
by name and their physical and dietary needs. It's a home I could recommend to others.
