The strength of St Cross Grange is the kindness, warmth and responsiveness of the staff. The ethos is to treat each resident as an individual with flexible access to facilities, as would happen at home. Residents do not have to get up at a set time in the morning for breakfast for example. There are many attractively decorated rooms and seated areas to meet with friends and family. Tea and coffee are always available. The bedrooms have en-suite and spacious wet rooms. Fresh air is easily available in several areas. The food is varied and tasty.

I am carer for my wife who has advanced Parkinson's. I had an operation and therefore booked both of us into St. Cross Grange for 4 weeks respite care to enable me to recover. Everything about the home was lovely especially the caring staff and the lovely spacious areas throughout the home. The care, food, cleanliness etc was excellent,

St Cross Grange supported my husband through the transition from home to respite and then back to home well. We were reassured throughout and everyone was very positive which helped me have peace of mind. He enjoyed his meals and took part in the activities even through the very hot weather.

I arranged to stay for 1 week after having a total knee replacement - but on visiting, pre-operatively, there was such a calm, peaceful atmosphere, I changed to 2 weeks. I was given the correct ratio of care: independence for my recovery.Time well spent. All the staff were caring and worked well together as a team for the benefit of the residents. I was impressed, in the dining room at lunchtime, a senior nurse discreetly observed residents eating lunch - appetite, etc. One of my visitors commented it was the best care home they had visited in a professional capacity.

A warm, loving, caring place. I was scared - now I'm at home. I was frightened of giving up my independence. Now I am learning to be dependent without bitterness. I was lost and alone, now I have friends and feel no longer a stranger.

Very grand building on entry up the drive. Exquisite when you walk into the entrance hall, warm and welcoming - high quality furniture and furnishings throughout. Outstanding cleanliness throughout. All staff are kind, considerate and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Food is excellent with such choice. My father absolutely loves living here and has made many friends. Always something to do as there are lots of activities.

My grandfather has just moved into this most beautiful home. All furniture and furnishings are of such good quality - everywhere is so clean and all staff are so friendly and very helpful. The conservatory is very much his favourite place which looks out into the garden. I would most definitely recommend this home to anyone.

I came to see my best friends dad the care home was immaculate, staff very helpful, friendly nothing to much of a problem, very homely with lovely rooms.

My 4 months stay here has been very beneficial for my recovery from a back injury. I was able to walk along the very spacious and bright long corridors every day, stopping if I wished in one of several beautifully decorated and homely lounges. I would like to praise the staff for being very friendly, caring, and patient with everyone. I will definitely miss "The Grange" which has been a home from home, and the wonderful staff. Would highly recommend.

I was a service user at St Cross Grange Care Home for a respite week following surgery. The home is clean and well staffed, the food is plenty, varied and tastefully cooked and presented. There are plenty of spaces to sit- other than one's room- on one's own or with visitors. The staff knew their residents by name and their physical and dietary needs. It's a home I could recommend to others.

We are so fortunate to have such a place for our dear friend and neighbour to be spending the next stage of her life. Thank you.

My mother has advanced dementia and so needs constant care and attention. She is very calm and content at St Cross and very well looked after. The staff are all very kind and caring.

My grandmother was always scared about moving into care but when I visit her I can see she is very happy and loved by all the staff. Everyone is very focused on giving her the best level of care available.

I had been my mother's primary carer for 8 years and was concerned about her care once she had deteriorated and I could not look after her anymore. St Cross Grange is an excellent facility and have provided her with excellent care in a kind and loving environment. She has advanced dementia but is happy and content thanks to the superb staff. I cannot praise them enough.

We needed to find a nursing home urgently for my 93 year old mum after a significant fall. St Cross Grange were brilliant from the start. Everyone in the team has made mum feel welcome and we feel very supported as a family. All the staff are approachable and friendly and we feel that mum's new nursing needs are being very well accommodated.

My husband received the highest quality of nursing and personal care until he passed away. Their support was beyond amazing. The home even invested in a new special bed in order to aid his comfort and safety in his last few weeks.

So impressed with all the staff. Attentive, approachable, honest and professional. Whenever any issues are needed to be discussed they are dealt with quickly and politely. It is also clear that all the staff know my Dad personally. Thank you.
