What a wonderful welcome on the day my dad arrived at Oakhall we felt like royalty. All the staff were excellent and made dad so comfortable and as a visitor we were spoilt rotten with drinks cakes etc couldn't recommend enough.
That's lovely to hear that staff made you both feel so welcome. Thankyou for taking time to write a review with such positive feedback. Thankyou again.
Having spent a great deal of time there over the years,I have always been struck by the kindness, warmth and genuine care shown by every member of staff. Residents are treated with dignity and respect, and families are made to feel welcome and supported.
Oak Hall has a lovely atmosphere. The staff go above and beyond every day, and nothing is ever too much trouble.
The care provided during the final stages of life is truly exceptional. At a time when kindness matters most, the staff show such compassion, dignity and support that it brings great comfort to everyone involved.
Thank you to all the team at Oak Hall for everything you do. You are all very special people.
Thankyou for writing such a lovely review. We will miss him so much, especially his beautiful Hawaiian shirts he always wore in the summer. He always had a lovely smile and a thankyou whenever we did anything for him. You too were lovely to all the staff and we hope you keep in touch with us, you will be welcome anytime you want to pop in. Thankyou again, hugs from everyone at Oak Hall.
A dear friend has been in the care of Oak Hall for almost a year now and the improvement seen in her is amazing. The staff and Management treat her with great respect and gently encourage her to take part in activities. Having such huge social interaction I'm convinced has contributed to her continued improvement. I cannot thank everyone who works at Oak Hall enough.
Thankyou for taking the time to write a review. Your friend has improved since coming to Oak Hall and enjoys joining in with activities and spending time in the gardens. She's such a trooper and has worked hard with physiotherapy to get where she is today.
My elderly mother entered Oak Hall Care Home about a month ago. We were very nervous about this step, as my mother has always valued her independence and autonomy, but her physical health had reached a point where she could no longer live alone in a safe manner. It turns out we had nothing to worry about. Oak Hall have treated my mother with care, kindness, professionalism and dignity. She loves being at Oak Hall and has already built up a great rapport with the carers, residents and other staff. I am amazed by the diligence and concern shown by every member of staff towards my mother. They treat her like royalty and I know for sure that she is in good hands. I visit regularly and have nothing but praise for the carers and management. The care home has a friendly, relaxed air and in many ways feels more like a nice hotel than a care home. (A particular joy is taking our dogs to see my elderly mother - they are always made to feel welcome by everybody at Oak Hall!)
Your Mother is an absolute delight. She has a fantastic sense of humour. She comes to reception in the morning to borrow the newspaper and will stop for a chat and a coffee. She settled in very well and attends activities she enjoys and has made friends in the group which is lovely to see. Thankyou for taking the time out of your busy day to write such a nice review it is very much appreciated.
My mother resided at Oak Hall Care Home for seven years, during which time she was looked after with great care and compassion. She was one of the first residents and has sadly just passed away, but the staff of Oak Hall offered incredible support throughout. It was thanks to their timely call that I was able to be with her as she left on her final journey, something for which I will always be immensely grateful. It is a truly beautiful building and my mother loved looking out of the windows at the trees and lawns, which was particularly important when she became immobile. Before that she could wander around and enjoy being in nature, it is always beautifully maintained. I could not recommend Oak Hall more highly, most of all for its incredible staff.
Thankyou for taking time out to write a review. Your Mum has left such a large hole at Oak Hall she will be very greatly missed. She was the first resident I met when I joined the company and was always a pleasure to chat to. She loved her numerous daily walks whilst she was able and enjoyed...
Our mother needed urgent care after nearly a month in hospital. Jane and the team were amazing both in provision and their positive attitude. They knew our mother's needs to the point of telling us answers to questions we did not know to ask! They did everything possible for us, at incredibly short notice, at a busy period to accommodate our mother and settle her in well. We visit daily and every staff member is exceptional. The atmosphere at the home is uplifting and this starts at the reception desk and extends to all the activities. Our mother is enjoying the multiple daily (3 a day!) activities, having lunch with people who she calls her new friends and taking in the beautiful surroundings. Our dog is enjoying our visits and being welcomed by residents. We are finding the care at Oak Hall exceptional. We cannot imagine our mother spending her close of life anywhere else.
Thankyou for such a fantastic review. We always try to accommodate people at short notice. We understand how scary it can be for people not only to find accommodate but for the person moving in to make sure it is right for them. Your mother is such a sweet heart, she chats to everyone, enjoys the...
We are so thankful that our mum was able to spend her final days at Oak Hall after a difficult final hospital admission and grateful to Jane and all the team for their care for her over the last four years. Oak Hall had become mum's home and we will look back fondly on memories of grandchildren playing on the lawn during visits and family gatherings in the lounge. Jane, Dawn, Gabi, Rosemarie and Ramona were always so helpful and patient with mum's needs and gave her a new lease of life - encouraging her to get into her wheelchair and get her mobility back - after a long spell bed bound in a previous nursing home setting. Thank you all
Thankyou for your lovely review. Mum was a major part of the home. She joined in everything we were doing in activities. She loved to be outside in the garden and on more than one occasion went further than she should have done. She was the life and soul at parties and always had nice things to say about the staff. Thankyou for taking the time to write a review for us, its so kind of you.
As I had not seen your client for two years it really was a lovely surprise to see her in such lovely surroundings. I was most impressed by the cheerfulness of all the staff and this was also evident when visiting my mother, who is clearly well cared for both physically and mentally.
I'm happy that you see the staff so cheerful when you visit, they certainly enjoy their work. Oak Hall is such a stunning building and the 25 acres it sits in is such a majestic setting in the Surrey Hills. We are truly spoilt with such a beautiful place to work. I am pleased to hear that your...
Oak Hall has been the full time care of my mother since November 2023. I live in Australia, and this is my first visit since she joined the team. Ma has been exceptionally well looked after. The staff are excellent. The venue is great. Ma is looking really well. When she arrived initially, she was very unwell. She is now in great form. Thank you very much.
Mum has come on in leaps and bounds since joining us. She is strong willed and very determined. She was so thrilled to see you and told me all about your visit. Thankyou for taking the time and trouble to leave us such a wonderful review.
I am in no doubt that my mother's quality of life is vastly improved by being in Oak Hall. Thank you.
Thankyou for taking the time to write a reply. It was lovely to meet you on your trip this time. Mum is an absolute delight and has such a dry sense of humour. I love our chats about her nursing career and how I should be doing things! She is such a character and is strong and determined. Its a lovely review so thankyou again for taking time out to post it.
Being resident in Spain, I don't get to see my aunt that frequently. Last time I saw her was in the winter of 2023. Sadly, since then, she has suffered a debilitating stroke and is now confined to a wheelchair. On a recent trip to the UK, I visited my aunt at Oak Hall and was delighted to see how well looked after she was. From her comfortable room, to the glorious grounds and building, and, of course, the dedicated and caring staff, I was so impressed with Oak Hall. My aunt is clearly happy and at home at Oak Hall which is the most important thing. We were able to have lunch together in the Bistro which gave my aunt the feeling that she was in a top class hotel rather than a care home. Just to add, the food was of an exceptionally high quality; clearly homemade, healthy and well-balanced. I can't recommend Oak Hall enough, and being so far away from my aunt, I feel comforted that she's in such good hands. I would unreservedly recommend Oak Hall for anyone's loved one.
Thankyou for writing such a wonderful review. Reviews such as this help other people make decisions about moving into long term care which is never an easy decision. Your Aunt has settled in so well and is enjoying the activities and the food and is making good progress with physiotherapy. Its a...
My wife suffers from dementia and Parkinson's. She has been in Oak Hall for over three years. The care she receives is first class and caring. The staff are excellent, kind and efficient, and the management is stable and assured.
Your wife is very settled at Oak Hall and I'm so pleased that you rate her care as first class. She is one of our every growing family as are you. Thankyou for posting this review, its very important for the staff to be kind and I'm glad to hear they are also efficient. Staff work very hard at Oak...
A very dear friend of ours was transferred to Oak Hall after a long stay in hospital after suffering a stroke. The care she has received from the nurses, staff, care assistants, physio all I've seen by the General Manager has been wonderful. Her room and the entire home is always spotless and welcoming and we've enjoyed joining our friend in several activities during our visits. The grounds are beautiful too. The food also always smells amazing!
Thankyou for taking the time to write such a lovely review. Its a pleasure to support your friend in Oak HALL. She is so enthusiastic in her approach to her recovery it makes it a joy to support her. She is always appreciative of everything we do and always has a smile on her face. You have made her room beautiful and very homely. Thankyou
I was very happy to see my friend looking so much better. The staff were very friendly and caring. I was impressed with the attention she received at Oak Hall. She is very happy and has settled in so well. Her bedroom is very nice and comfortable. I would love to go to Oak Hall if the time comes. It was so clean.
Thankyou for your review. Your friend is making good progress and has settled in very well to Oak Hall. I'm so glad she is happy with us and she is making new friends in the home, she loves going to activities and joining in with the other residents. Thankyou again.
Very impressed with the care and attention, facilities and friendly, helpful staff.
Thankyou for your feedback. Your Mother in law is such a lovely lady. She's always happy and likes chatting to anyone in the home. She loves to be outside in the garden, especially helping in the friendship garden. She will have a go at any of the activities and really loves the baking sessions. She is always a ray of sunshine and a pleasure to be around. Thankyou for your review.
Level of care is very good and keeps improving. My mother is as happy as she could be, being in care.
Thankyou for your feedback. Your mother is a wonderful lady. Always happy and smiling and says thank you to the staff for what they do. She has made so many friends in the home, its such a pleasure to support her at Oak Hall. She has such an active social life joining in everything we do. Thankyou again for posting a review.
After suffering a severe stroke resulting in the loss of the left side of her body my friend of over 50 years was in need of a care home as she was about to be discharged from hospital. As a result of my partners father being a very happy resident for over 3 years at Oak Hall it was a no brainer to put her there. During her time at Oak Hall she has made a remarkable improvement. The staff are superb, so friendly and attentive. My friend has said that she is very happy where she is and has remarked several times how nice the people are there. I'm extremely happy she is in Oak Hall and thank all the staff for their kindness and diligence.
Thankyou for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We are so pleased that your friend is making such good progress with us. She's joining in with activities, eating in the dining room and chatting with other residents and staff. She is such a lovely lady and to know she has the support of such wonderful friends to cheer her on is fantastic, thank you again.
On my visit (2 of us), drinks were left on the table, client unable to get to them. Client clearly lost weight, unable to feed herself, not sat positioned properly. Mouldy food found in room. Personal care obviously lacking, hair filthy, body very smelly (client apologised). Nurse bell left out of reach. No stimulation.
I am very sorry to hear of your concerns following your visit. At Oak Hall, the comfort and wellbeing of our residents are always our top priority, and we value all feedback. We continue to work closely with the resident and their family, who are pleased with the care and progress made since joining...
Lovely place, always meticulously clean.
Thankyou for your review. I'm pleased that you find the home always clean, our housekeepers work very hard to keep the home clean and tidy. Thankyou for going to the trouble to write a review.
Excellent facilities, however the room of the resident could use more regular cleans. however due to his condition and hypersensitivity to sound, the cleaners cannot use vacuums. I would like them to instead at least clean with a broom and air freshener.
Thankyou for your feedback. We try not to use air fresheners as they mask smells rather then dealing with the source. This resident does not like us using sprays in their room. We do deep clean the room on days that this resident is not in their room which is their preference. Thankyou for writing a review.
