The moment I walked into Broomfield Village, and I met the staff, I knew we had found the right place. It was the only home we had seen where I knew I would not feel guilty leaving my mother.
The staff made her feel at home, got her into a wheelchair to join group activities and meals and we were able to take her into the garden, things which we could never have done if she had stayed at home. Later when she was unable to get out of bed, the staff would spend time sitting with her. The facilities were fantastic for the residents but also for the families, including young children.
I cannot praise all the staff highly enough, they were all so loving and thoughtful. When it mattered, they were there for my mother but also for my family and me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a touching review. It means the world to our entire team to know that your mother and your family felt supported and cared for during her time with us. We understand how difficult the decision to move into care can be, and we're so glad that...

From the start Mary and her team were amazing. As her Lpa i wanted to find her the perfect new home. I was recommended to Broomfield Village by another residents daughter and I'm so happy I made the call. The staff are always so warm and friendly, they are engaging and so supportive and welcoming. Bv is another world compared to other homes , they offer a 5 star service. They have so much to offer everyone , it doesn't feel like a care home it feels like a luxury hotel. As a family it's so lovely to see L in beautiful surroundings being so well cared for by amazing staff who really care.
The home is filled with love , kindness , empathy and compassion. Bv truly go above and beyond for there residents, I highly recommend Bv to anyone wanting a loved one or themselves to have a wonderful rest and be well looked after. I am so glad we found you Bv thank you .

First impressions are that the staff are all very welcoming and friendly. They go out of their way to ensure that new residents settle in quickly. The surroundings are lovely and it really doesn't feel like care home at all. The restaurant and catering facilities are excellent. The nursing team treat residents with dignity and respect. They get to know resident and seem genuinely interested in the person and their life.
Thank you so much for sharing such thoughtful feedback. It means the world to us to know that you found the team welcoming and that the care, surroundings, and dining all left such a positive impression. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to the team they will truly appreciate them.
My Mum has been resident at the Broomfield Village Care Home for 3 weeks now. The experience has surpassed our greatest hope. It is such a beautifully designed home, with wonderful interior design. Every aspect of our dealings with the car home and staff have been fantastic. All the staff are lovely. The care my Mum has received has been exemplary. The care home is like a five star hotel. It is a joy to visit my Mum. I can't imagine my Mum staying anywhere else. We feel very fortunate to have found such an exceptional place.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that mum is settling in so well and that you've had such a positive experience with us. Creating a warm, welcoming environment that feels like home is at the heart of everything we do, and it means the world to know that this has...
The room my wife occupies is very comfortable and clean, with a fully equiped bathroom. There is ample storeage space for clothes etc. A door leads to a small patio with table and chairs, and a newly planted garden which is well maintained.
There is a pleasant dining room with menus for lunch & supper changed daily with a "light bites" menu as an alternative. In addion a garden tea room is available.
The carers and other staff are friendly & efficient and ready to meet the various demands with a smile and warm words of comfort.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback. We're so pleased to hear that you feel welcomed and that your wife is comfortable and well cared for. Our team works hard to create a warm, homely environment for both residents and their families, so it means a lot to hear that reflected in your experience.
My mother stayed here for 6 weeks following a fall where she broke her upper arm.
I called the care home after an online search as the hospital were discharging her and I didn't feel confident she could return home on her own.
Following the call, the home sent someone to assess her in hospital that afternoon and she moved in the next day, the home were extremely swift.
Having not visited the home before arriving with my mother we were both blown away by the wonderful interior design and welcome by the staff.
We were greeted by the head nurse carer whos experience shone through I was very reassured that she was going to be in good hands.
Subsequently this member of staff acted quickly when mum needed to return to a&e where a carer stayed with her the whole time.
The in house Physo helped her to recover. And the in house hair and nails made her feel her best.
The restaurant manager was excellent.
Every member of staff there is wonderful!!
I can not speak highly enough
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're so pleased we could make mum's stay comfortable and reassuring for both of you, and that you've felt supported every step of the way.It means a lot to hear your kind words about our team. Everyone takes great pride in making our residents feel safe,...
A very good experience all round. Every member of staff always welcoming (most knowing my name), friendly, and very helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I enjoyed the lunches I had with my husband and have made many new friends - both staff and residents.
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience with us and we will share this with our wonderful team. We're so pleased to hear that having lunch with your husband was enjoyable and made a difference for you. Your satisfaction is important to us, and your review reaffirms the hard work our team put in every day. Looking forward to seeing you again!
I experienced from all staff members kindness and generosity. Everyone knew me by name & was very friendly, despite sometimes low staffing levels due to the Care Home's only recent opening. A very lovely atmosphere.

This is positive, as I have previously had difficulty sleeping. This is the first time for years that I have actually slept well. The maintenance and housekeeping team deserve credit for all they did to create the comfort, the care team for supporting my sleep, the support bed is second to none.

I cannot praise Broomfield Village highly enough. It is a beautiful space, warm and welcoming with a calm atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and you are encouraged to personalise them to help the resident feel more at home. But more importantly, the staff are exceptional. So kind and caring, they tailor their care to the individual. They are always available to discuss any concerns and give reassurance if needed. My mother has particularly enjoyed the food since being there. I have also been able to join her for some meals and can happily say the food is of an excellent quality. I now have peace of mind that my mother is in the best place possible and is receiving excellent all round care.

Creating a homely, welcoming environment is at the heart of what we do. Your encouragement means the world to us, and we'll absolutely keep doing our very best.
The home looked like a 5 star hotel and provided an excellent level of personal service. Every member of staff was polite, professional and extremely helpful, nothing was too much for them. I was extremely pleased with the first class care that my brother received throughout his stay. Although on the end of life care, he was happy, comfortable and very well cared for in his private room. Everyone there went above and beyond the call of duty to nurse and care for him throughout his stay. When sadly my brother passed away, every member of staff showed their respect by lining up as he was taken away on his final journey. I can't thank you enough for your kindness, care and professionalism.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, feedback is always appreciated! It was lovely to read and will share this great review with the team who will be delighted to receive such positive comments,It's a privilege watching your loved one settle in and become such an important part of our community at Broomfield Village. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Mum has 15 great grandchildren so having the little kids area is inspired! And being able to watch a film together in the comfortable cinema room, with a bountiful supply of sweets, drinks & ice-creams from the "Sweet Shop" is magical! In just a week mum has had her hair & nails done, joined in gardening, baking, mini golf & music & movement!
The physical support given to mum for her care & mobility needs is fantastic, & given with dignity, kindness & respect.
We can relax in the knowledge that mum is very well looked after and her family is always made welcome.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're so pleased to hear that your mum has settled in well and is enjoying such a wide range of activities from gardening and baking to cinema nights with the grandchildren. It's especially amazing to know that you and your family feel so welcome.Your kind...
The Broomfield village care home is outstanding. Most importantly the team are absolutely brilliant, they are friendly, helpful, caring and are highly trained and qualified staff. When looking for a care home there were none comparable. It is also of note that community links have been forged prior to the opening of the facility and that organisations are starting to come to sessions on site and residents are having visits to groups and facilities off site. My stepfather is very happy and well cared for and has enjoyed all the opportunities that he has been offered, including trips out and being able to cut the ribbon on the grand opening launch of Broomfield. I have seen a remarkable transformation in his well-being. He loves the food and the pampering as well as the superb care that he is given. Regular news is also easily accessible via a family App and this helps you to feel connected to your loved one and involved in their welfare.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and for such glowing feedback! It's been a privilege to support you and your stepfather with his move, and for him to be so involved in our Grand Launch was incredibly special for the whole team here at Broomfield Village. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
The decor and ambience in the home are equivalent to a top-of-the-range, five-star hotel.
The residents' rooms are very roomy and well laid out, the facilities in the home are numerous and of high quality.
The staff are, without exception, professional, friendly and extremely helpful.
The food is also of a very high quality with a varied menu.
We cannot praise the home and its environment enough,
Please keep up your excellent work.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, Kay, it was a pleasure to read and I can't wait to pass your feedback on to our team! It's been a real privilege watching your loved one settle into Broomfield Village and become such an important part of our community. We look forward to seeing you again!
We spent a long time researching and visiting luxury care homes, we even used respite periods to really see if these other homes lived up to our high expectations in all areas.
Only Broomfield Village Care Home ticked all the boxes.
The care, staff and management in all departments are helpful, professional, knowledgeable and approachable, they all treat Mum with dignity, allowing her to help herself and stepping in when they see she needs some encouragement or guidance.
Broomfield is a luxurious family community of the highest standards.
The building is designed to create an environment that's welcoming to all residents and their families, including children.
When visiting, we often stay for lunch, free of charge, with Mum, like a family should (most homes do not allow this). There are many free extras, like hairdresser, chiropody, sweet/ice cream shop, toy/play area, cafes, cinema.
Broomfield updates us using an app. They post photos/videos daily and send messages to keep us involved and informed.
Thank you ever so much, Jayne, for your kind and heartfelt words. We're so thrilled that you've chosen Broomfield Village as Mum's home; it's been wonderful to see her settle in so well and the family enjoy their time visiting us too. I'll be sure to pass your feedback on to our team and thank you again for taking the time to write us your review.
Walking into Broomfield Village Care Home felt like I was walking into a five-star hotel. Beautifully decorated and a warm welcome. The staff there are fantastic. Smiley, talkative, caring and attentive without being in the slightest bit patronising. The facilities are second to none with great extra touches put in, like a sweet shop, kids area and cinema. The food was outstanding. I left feeling that my grandmother was being taken great care of in a place she'd be comfortable and happy to be.
Thank you for spending the time to leave us a review, it was a pleasure to read and I'll be sure to pass your feedback on to our team. We've loved looking after your grandmother and are delighted that she's a part of our little community here at Broomfield Village! Thank you again.
The facilities are amazing, from the lounges, the salon, the cinema, the children's area, the sweet shop to the putting green, the garden room, the arts and crafts room - even a radio station room! The food is of fine dining quality - all produced on the premises - even the bread and cakes and Mum is very happy to enjoy a glass of wine with her meals. The carers and staff have made every effort to get to know Mum and how to handle her little foibles. I can't fault the non-patronising care given by each and every person. I look forward to Broomfield Village becoming a thriving village of its own within the community.
Thank you for your kind words, Ruth, and for taking the time to leave your review. We're so pleased that both Mum and the family have enjoyed the facilities; it's been a pleasure welcoming you all to the home and seeing Mum settle into her new environment. She's a delight to look after and we're so thrilled to have Mum as a part of our community here at Broomfield Village.

Meet the Team (3)

I'm a qualified nurse and have a wealth of experience managing a team, within the care industry in a busy nursing home.
I've joined the Principle family, sharing their ethos and values; to ensure that through my work, I can make people feel special every day.
In my role, I believe it’s important to have a strong understanding of clinical needs and regulatory requirements, along with good communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
Supporting and mentoring the team, is the key to feeling a sense of achievement at the end of the day, and in turn, delivering excellent care for both residents and their families.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my children.

I’ve worked as a Customer Relationship Manager in the care sector for 6 years now, both commissioning new homes and supporting established homes with their customer relations.
My role is to introduce new families to the home, guide them through the process of looking into care for themselves or a loved one, and help them during the transition of moving from their home into a new community.
My passion for working in the care industry has grown significantly over the past 6 years, and continues to do so every time I make a difference in someone's life, by supporting them and their families during their move into residential care.
When I'm not at home, you'll find me spending time with my family and friends, participating at a local parkrun on a Saturday morning, or enjoying a coffee in one of Chelmsford's independent coffee shops!

My role at Broomfield Village is to oversee the administrative functions of the home, ensuring an efficient operation for not only our team but also our residents and their visitors.
My main responsibility is the management of various aspects of the business side of Broomfield Village, and in turn, supporting the delivery of high-quality care.
