Welcome to Marjorie House – a Care South home for residential care. Marjorie House provides outstanding care within a fabulous environment and stunning views over Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island.

Purpose-built in the style of Art Deco to complement the local environment, Marjorie House has 50 ensuite bedrooms, including double rooms. Each room has been built with both comfort and space in mind with built-in wardrobe, television, armchair, separate ensuite with shower, basin and toilet.

There are three floors, each with its own dining area, a dedicated activity area, lounge overlooking Brownsea Island and a smaller private lounge (ideal for private and family functions). The first floor also has a welcoming bar – providing plenty of options for those sociable moments.

The terraced gardens, complete with walkways and viewing areas, enable residents and their guests to enjoy the exceptional views together and the landscaped courtyard offers the ideal spot for relaxation and social gatherings.

I came here straight from Poole Hospital, at a moments notice and the efficiency of the 'management' on duty made it possible for me to be accepted in the evening of Easter sunday. That was excellent because I was not fit or able to look after myself at home. Being here for 2 weeks has been tremendous
because all the staff have been so wonderful, helpful, efficient, gracious and charming. I am now very fit and able to go home with safety. Thank you so much to all at Marjorie House - an experience I shall remember with much gratitude and pleasure.

My experience here has been memorable. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble for them. After a very unhappy time hospital, it has been a very happy two weeks of rest and tranquility. The management also are wonderful and caring in every respect. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The manager of Marjorie House is amazing, as is all of the team. But the manager travelled for 4 hours in a winter storm to go and personally meet my Dad when we were first thinking of moving my Dad to Poole. It was a big decision to make the move but I am so glad that we did. My Dad was warmly welcomed
by all of the team on arrival. He cut the ribbon to his new room and from then on he has been cared for by a team of compassionate, respectful and lovely people. The chef makes his favourite meals, and during December he had a great time joining in the festivities and New Year celebrations. The location is stunning and the facilities are great. If you are looking for a safe, loving home from home for your loved one, please go and see Marjorie House.

I have been a resident in Marjorie House since the day it opened and the staff and food have both been first class.
The home is exceptionally clean and tidy, the decor very pleasing. One great asset at being here is the view of the ever changing sea and area.
All in all I feel that there could not
be a more pleasing place to be a resident.

A move from independent living into residential care is a momentous and potentially difficult one for anyone. However, from the moment of our initial telephone enquiry, the care, consideration and kindness shown by all the staff at Marjorie House took much of the burden from us. The actual building,
outlook and facilities of Marjorie House are without question second to none and much appreciated by us all. However, it is the staff who really make the difference. First and foremost their kindness and understanding show in everything they do. Coupled with their professionalism and knowledge, not to mention enthusiasm, they provide the very best of everything; from carefully prepared meals to stimulating and unusual activities in and away from Marjorie House, as well as the very high standards of personal daily care, they ensure that residents can lead the fullest life possible. Despite a small number of residents at the moment, whenever we go Marjorie House feels full of life and fun. Thank you so much to all the staff for looking after everyone so well and making us all feel so welcome.

It became clear that my aunt was unable to continue her independent living but she was very reluctant to leave her beautiful flat. We visited Marjorie House and very soon we could see that this could be her "home from home". Initially, she came for respite after a fall but has not left since and now
is a permanent resident.
The staff are all so lovely and attentive and always seem to know when to intervene and when to just leave her to "get on with her life". The food is fabulous and the room and decor are really 5 stars. To have so many beautiful lounges to sit in and read or chat or frankly enjoy the amazing views is a real bonus. As a family, we feel truly blessed that she has found such a lovely place to live and be looked after in.
If I could award 10 stars I would!

My aunt was not initially keen to leave her home to live in Marjorie House but she was welcomed so warmly and cared for so kindly that it soon felt like home.
The facilities are superb with amazing views but the outstanding stars at Marjorie House are the staff. They are caring, kind and gentle treating
my aunt with dignity and respect. They make sure the residents are fully engaged in life with numerous and varied activities.
My aunt is very settled and has made new friends with residents and staff and we look forward to our visits when we can spend quality time with her knowing she is so well looked after.

I arrived in Marjorie House in October 2024, having lived alone since the death of my husband for years in Poole. Being here has been wonderful. Everything is amazing, from the front door to the roof!
Staff are all caring, helpful to excess and willing.
As a new building, it is all bright and shining
and the outlook from my room window is worth millions!

From my initial visit to look at Marjorie House the manager was so open and welcoming it made me feel supported and listened to as I looked at Marjorie House as an option for my mum. What could have been a difficult transition moving my mum into full time care was made easier and the staff have done
everything to help mum settle in, listening and responding to her specific needs.

I am very pleased with care and help. Care staff are very nice and friendly. They always help me with all. Food is great, first class. Housekeeping staff are also excellent. I like my room and the views. Lovely home with very nice people around. I couldn't wish for a better place to be.

My mother moved into Marjorie House 2 weeks ago. I have been so impressed with the care and attention that Mum has received. The home is beautiful and the views are stunning but more importantly the staff are absolutely lovely. They cannot do enough to make Mum feel welcome and at home. They have assessed
her needs carefully and it's such a relief to know that Mum is in such caring and competent hands.
