I am very excited to introduce myself as the home manager of The Manor House Roundhay. I have a strong background within health and social care; I am a qualified nurse and have a BSc Honours in health and social care. Throughout my degree I took a particular interest in supporting older people in a care setting and I have a special interest and knowledge base around dementia care.
I have had several roles in care settings and have been a registered manager for 8 years. The people who choose to live here will always be my priority; I have a passion for celebrating individuality and understanding personal journeys through life story work.
I am extremely family orientated and am committed to looking after people in my care the way I’d expect my loved ones to be supported.
Sharna has a degree in Biomedical Sciences and has worked in care since 2018. She started her career as a carer, worked towards her NVQ and then became a dementia Care Coordinator.
Before coming to us at The Manor House Roundhay, Sharna took on the dementia lead position as her work with dementia is something she is incredibly passionate about and wants to raise awareness and erase the stigma surrounding the condition.
Sharna has two dogs who we hope will come to spend time at The Manor House Roundhay soon – as we love pets!
