Stayed for lunch on 5 consecutive days. Food was very tasty + attractively served. Staff very friendly + helpful. Pleasant atmosphere within the Home. Sometimes, the washing (of clothes) gets delivered to the wrong person (apparently).
Thank you for your positive comments which we will relay to the team and we are so pleases you enjoyed visiting your loved one and spending time together - We look forward to welcoming you again. Warm wishes, Rose.
I love the lounges and dining rooms, it feels so cosy & like a home from home.

I love the food & the activities especially when we go out.
Thank you for your super review. We really appreciate your comments and will share with the team. Thanks for being a great part of our community!
My mother required some respite care following a hospital stay, with a view to possibly becoming a permanent resident, we looked at Pittsmead Grange and decided it would suite her. The staff and carers have all been very helpful and supportive, They have helped her settle in, she is encouraged to mix with others and join in the daily activities on offer where possible, we feel she is being looked after and cared for, the food is very good with varied options in a pleasant setting. It feels very homely, the rooms are very nice, bright, clean and spacious with ensuite facilities.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback - we are so pleased that Mum has settled at Pittsmead Grange so well!
My wife went in to the home as her husband was in hospital having had a minor stroke (she has M.S.). The home could not manage her medication (pain killer) as they could not time them into their programme. She had several falls but the staff were unable to deal with these. And she was left on the floor for a while there was and no one around to let visitors out in the evening (20 minute wait!)
Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. Were sorry to read of your experience with us at Pittsmead Grange. On speaking with the home, we understand you were kept informed of incidents when they occurred, however no concerns were raised during your time with us, or on leaving the home. So...
We were looking for residential care which felt homely, where mum would be surrounded by kindness, Pittsmead Grange delivers this and more. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous and the bedrooms and lounges are beautifully decorated and well equipped. Mum has quickly become part of the community, benefitting greatly from the social activities and freshly cooked meals. I would highly recommend Pittsmead Grange, it is always a joy for me to visit.
Thank you so much for your lovely review - we are so pleased that Mum has settled in so well and we are enjoying having her as part of our thriving community!
The carers are efficient in ensuring my ward does not remain in bed and like to wheel her into meal times. They are good at making sure her hygiene requirements are taken care of and make sure she joins in to activities that she wants without forcing her into things she does not care for. She does like fresh air and looks forward to going out.
Thank you for your positive review. We appreciate your feedback and would be happy to discuss any suggested improvements regarding our activity programme with you - we are always open to new ideas!
I was very apprehensive about putting my mum into respite care but I needn't have worried. All the staff made sure mum was very well looked after in all areas. It was originally one week but mum wanted to extend her stay to two weeks! I will have no hesitation in getting respite care whenever needed now. I think mum will become permanent in the near future and this stay has given me confidence in this.
Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased to see that Mum is enjoying being at Pittsmead Grange and so delighted she has made some lovely friends. She is a wonderful part of our resident community now!
Maybe there is scope for introducing new residents to others in the dining rooms.
Thank you for your review Christopher. We are delighted that you had a positive experience of Pittsmead Grange and welcome your feedback regarding a new resident's dining experience. We will discuss this across the team and look at ways in which we can improve the new resident's experience, particularly when meeting their fellow residents. Thank you!
Sue enjoyed her stay and it gave me some needed relaxation.
A good stay in a good place

Gave her.

Thank you for your very kind review. We will look forward to welcoming your mother back soon.
Everything was taken at her pace, she joins in meal times and activities when she can and stays in her room when not feeling up to it. She is very comfortable in her stylish room!
She has had swift transfer of medical attention from day one, which is very reassuring.
The atmosphere of the home and the attentive and caring staff give great peace of mind.
I would thoroughly recommend Pittsmead to anyone thinking of moving in for respite or on a more permanent basis.

Very pleased with everything, staff and management are excellent, pleasant and helpful in everything. The building is very distinctive and attractive. Most people here really love it. Very well planned. Food and drink are very varied and top-notch - I enjoy a lovely glass of wine with my meal - all the little touches make a difference. A lovely birthday party and cake. Everything is spotless - linen is pristine. Glasses are sparkling like diamonds. Everyone is helpful and suggests if you need help!

Meet the Team (9)

Hello, I'm Rose and I am the Operations Manager, South East & General Manager at Pittsmead Grange. The wonderful team and I look forward to welcoming you into our home.

My name is Aimee, and I am the Deputy Manager at Pittsmead Grange.
I have worked in social care for over 23 years and joined Barchester in 2019 as a Senior Care Assistant. During this time, I developed a wide range of skills and experience, which has enabled me to progress to the role of Care Practitioner, working closely alongside Registered Nurses to deliver high-quality care and support to residents.
Keen to broaden my knowledge and gain experience in different areas of the business, I later joined the administration team. I progressed from Administrative Assistant to Administrator, developing a strong understanding of the operational side of care home management.
Throughout my career, I have remained passionate about providing excellent care and building meaningful relationships with residents and their families. This passion led me to return to a care-focused leadership role, and I am proud to support our team in delivering person-centred care and creating a warm, welcoming environment for everyone at Pittsmead.
As Deputy Manager, I am committed to ensuring the highest standards of care, supporting staff development, and helping residents enjoy the best possible quality of life.

I do my very best to make every mealtime a home-from-home experience using only fresh ingredients to provide nutritious and tasty meals. Most importantly, sitting and chatting over a cuppa with our residents is undoubtedly the best way to get to know their favourite foods or the things they may well be missing. And my kitchen team will then try to incorporate them into our menus to make the residents feel more at home.
