This time it was with a difference!
After leaving Helen in good health and spirits within five hours she quickly became unwell and by a detailed, thorough and knowledgable examination it was deemed necessary to call an ambulance. The communication I received was regular and outstanding which made me feel very much at ease.
Upon arrival at Driffield Manor the Paramedics were given a detailed verbal briefing from the senior carer as well as a very detailed passport and care plan specifically about Helen which provided a seamless transition and smooth handover to the hospital team.
Driffield Manor is a beautiful place, however, that means nothing without an exemplary well led team who work to the highest of standards and genuinely want to make a difference in a very positive way. That is all of you, never change as it makes such a difference.

Although Mum was only with you for a short time during her end-of-life care, every single member of staff went above and beyond to make her comfortable, respected, and cared for. She was treated like a queen every single day.
Every person we met was an angel. The warmth, dignity, and genuine compassion shown by the whole team gave us so much comfort during the hardest time of our lives. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we always felt supported as a family.
We truly couldn't have asked for more. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making Mum's final days so, I would say peaceful, they absolutely were.. but they were also joyful, fun, heart warming and full of laughter. For treating her with such love and respect we will never forget the whole team's kindness.
Hi Kate M thank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience.

Mum was in Driffield Manor for 3 weeks' respite and during the time she was in there we cannot praise the staff enough. The change in Mum during the 3 weeks was amazing. They encouraged her with her mobility and confidence.

I enjoyed my stay at The Manor; the only thing I would have liked was a room with the sun, I understand there may not have been one available. I enjoyed the company of others and the friendly staff. The staff were thorough and professional. When I arrived there was a box of chocolates in my room, which I thought was a wonderful touch. I enjoyed my food, and it was lovely. With different each day. I would definitely go back and spend another week there, as I really enjoyed it.

I can now relax knowing Mum is safe and getting the support and love she needs 24/7.

It was my Dad's dream to move into Driffield Manor. He took great interest in it being built and couldn't wait for the open day! He attended many social events prior to moving in where he was made very welcome by every member of staff. He unfortunately had a fall and moved in under very different circumstances than we had originally anticipated. He was only able to be there for a short time but his care was exceptional in every way. We would thoroughly recommend Driffield Manor to anyone who is looking for a residential care home and would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for their care and support for my Dad and ourselves.
Hi C W thank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback.

Everything at the Manor was immaculately clean and they had a lovely room. There was an excellent choice of food everyday with as much or as little as they wanted. The attention and care my parents received was excellent and it was just such a relief to the family to know that they were being so well looked after.

My mum has recently had a respite stay at Driffield Manor. I couldn't be more grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown by all the staff. From the moment she arrived, she was made to feel welcome and comfortable. Staff took time to listen and understand her needs and preferences. This made a real difference to us both. Thank you to everyone for making what could be a stressful time into a positive experience.

My mum has been a resident here since June 2025 and we couldn't have chosen a better home. The staff are extremely caring and nothing is too much trouble. They treat my mum with huge respect and always have time to chat with her. The home is beautifully decorated and is like a top-class hotel and residents' rooms are tastefully decorated and coordinated. The hairdresser's and cinema within the home are a wonderful addition to have. The home is kept spotlessly clean and maintained. The chefs do a wonderful job, providing a varied menu and catering for my mum who is a vegetarian. Finally, I have to mention the fantastic activities on offer, from gardening, flower arranging and bowling to trips out and guest singers, there is something for everyone.

I do have a few relatives who have wanted to come for short stays of one or two weeks andI think it is a shame that your policy does not permit this as Im sure if someone stayed with you short-term they would not want to leave.
Firstly, please may we start by offering our sincere and heartfelt condolences to you and your family for your loss during this difficult time. It is incredibly kind of you to take the time to let us know how your Auntie enjoyed precious time with the team at Driffield Manor. I know I can say...

I cannot fault the lead up to Christmas. The activities were fabulous which of course is down to the staff. My wife is so well cared for. I can't fault the support she is being provided. We transferred my wife's care from another home to Driffield and it was the best decision we ever made. The facilities are beautiful and we can't praise the staff highly enough - thank you.

Meet the Team (1)

I’m incredibly proud to lead such a dedicated and compassionate team at Driffield Manor. I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (Adults’ Management) and have many years of experience managing care homes.
I believe effective leadership comes from being approachable, positive and transparent. Good communication, compassion and high standards are all key to providing outstanding care and ensuring that all residents and colleagues feel valued and supported. I can’t choose just one favourite part of my day, as I truly enjoy every aspect of my job, but seeing colleagues and residents happy is always a highlight.
A personal career highlight for me was becoming a Registered and Commissioning Manager, as well as taking part in a two-part TV documentary called Crisis in Care with Ed Balls. In 2021, I was also honoured to win the Registered Manager Award at the Yorkshire and Humberside Great British Care Awards.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going on holidays and taking long walks with my dog, Spencer.
