Overall Experience

We had to move my mum after a bad experience at a previous come home. It is the best moved we made. My mum is so happy in a first-class environment. The staff are excellent every single one of them makes all the residents and families so welcome. The facilities, wouldn't be out of place in a high end hotel. There are plenty of activities which are so varied and stimulating. Thank you Duffield Manor.

I could not fault anything in the Home. The one thing that stood out was the friendly caring staff who were prepared to do anything to make life more comfortable. There was a greeting and a mile from everyone you met.

Overall Experience

Although Mum sadly spent only two nights in Driffield Manor, the care and respect shown before, during and afterwards was outstanding. The staff went out of their way to help us at a difficult time. All the accommodation is fabulous, but it was the care and kindness of staff which made this a special place for us.

Reply from Donna Henderson, Home Manager at Driffield Manor

Thank you so much for sharing your kind words. We are deeply sorry for your loss and hope you find some comfort in knowing your mother was cared for with dignity and compassion during her time at Driffield Manor. Donna Henderson
Donna HendersonJob Title:Home Manager

I’m incredibly proud to lead such a dedicated and compassionate team at Driffield Manor. I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (Adults’ Management) and have many years of experience managing care homes.

I believe effective leadership comes from being approachable, positive and transparent. Good communication, compassion and high standards are all key to providing outstanding care and ensuring that all residents and colleagues feel valued and supported. I can’t choose just one favourite part of my day, as I truly enjoy every aspect of my job, but seeing colleagues and residents happy is always a highlight.

A personal career highlight for me was becoming a Registered and Commissioning Manager, as well as taking part in a two-part TV documentary called Crisis in Care with Ed Balls. In 2021, I was also honoured to win the Registered Manager Award at the Yorkshire and Humberside Great British Care Awards.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going on holidays and taking long walks with my dog, Spencer.
