Alongside the beautiful Manor House, the Woodland Wing is the new facility offering purpose-built spacious bedrooms. Some have private access to a secured garden. All the bedrooms and lounges have views of the garden or the beautiful woodland.

In the last 6 weeks mum deteriorated but was still cared for very well by the team. Lovely carers and Angie the manageress went above and beyond in keeping us informed. Sadly mum passed in August but I felt on behalf of our family I wanted to thank the team who cared for mum, and showed us compassion during a few exceptionally difficult weeks. I have no hesitation in recommending Burlingham House to a family who are looking to place their dear relative in a care home.

The welcoming atmosphere is felt as soon as you enter Burlingham House . There is a pleasant easy flow around the communal rooms . Staff are engaged in different ways with residents and you see many smiles and hear lots of laughter.My aunt went to Burlingham for respite this February and has remained there . In that time she has gained much needed weight thanks to the plentiful and nutritious meals and snacks on offer .I have seen her eating meals I never saw her eat before . I know that her tastes are catered for down to her requests for a bit of toast or biscuits .She has mixed dementia with profound memory loss but with the kindly reassurance from the staff she is frequently happy and taking part in the many activities the team provide .She always looks presentable and appears so much happier in many moments. Haircuts ,nail care , district nurses ,GP visits are all arranged by the team and I am kept informed.I do feel reassured that she is respected and cared for in Burlingham House

My mum had mixed dementia and she spent the last 9 months of her life being cared for at Burlingham House. She settled in really quickly and loved her room and all the wonderful activities. As a family we cannot thank and praise the staff enough for their dedication, compassion, friendliness and how they attended to all her needs. The warm environment, cleanliness and atmosphere within the home is exceptional and we would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely care home to other people.

My Father who has Alzheimer's, went to Burlingham House at the beginning of February 2026. All the staff are amazing, and it's so clean. His en-suite room is immaculate. His clothes are always clean. The varied activities that my father can participate in, are wonderful, for his mind and happiness. Since he has been in there, he seems much more contented and happy. They made a beautiful birthday cake for his birthday, and gave him presents. The food is amazing, a great range of meals. In the room where he spend his days, there is always a member of staff present. I cannot fault Burlingham house in anyway. So again, I would like to thank everyone at Burlingham house for looking after my dad, it gives us peace of mind that he is being looked after so well

My aunt was admitted to Burlingham House in July 2020 following a capability assessment by the council. She was looked after, from the start, very well and settled in easily and she soon accepted being there. At that time her memory loss was only limited, so her move could have been problematic but...
She has been very well cared for right up to the time of her decline in the last few months and death on 27th September at the age of 101. Last year, when she had her 100th Birthday, Burlingham staff made a great effort to arrange a party for her and for all the residents, including laying on an opera singer - as my aunt was a keen member of a choir when younger. My aunt was single and none of her family lived close, so Burlingham staff became her family. In her last days, they and the local doctor worked together to ensure that she was in minimal pain and discomfort. Many of her relations were able to visit her in this time and to say goodbye. A big thank you!

When I visited they always greeted me by my Christian name. When he became quite frail I didn't want to leave him and in his last few days they arranged for me to stay near him. I was always looked after well. There were always lots of activities going on for the residents. We had a lovely Christmas Day dinner and Christmas party. Children from a nearby school came in to sing carols on one of the days leading up to Christmas. I cannot praise them enough, carers and managers.

All the staff are very friendly and are always ready to have a chat and a laugh with both residents and their relatives. They are all very welcoming and well-trained to do the job. The home itself is very homely, especially with all the recent refurbishments. The kitchen staff provide excellent food with a great variety. The maintenance team do a great job keeping the home clean and maintained. Activities coordinators keep the residents busy with a different variety of activities including 1:1. Burlingham House Care Home has provided very good care for my mother over the past few years and I would recommend it to anyone considering residential care for a loved one. Burlingham House have worked with my mother to get her back to the point where she can return home to live with me and my partner. She was in a very poor state when she first went there and thanks to them, she is back on track. Care staff are very friendly and do go above and beyond. My mum became quite attached to certain members of staff, as they became attached to her. She will return for respite care at some point in the future as I know she will be in safe hands there. I would say I built up a very strong relationship with the manager, in particular. She was always responsive to my emails, calls, requests and any suggestions.
