My 91 year old husband went into the home for end of life care. We already had a positive view, knowing a previous resident, so were happy for George to go there. Throughout his stay we found staff were very caring, kind and attentive to his needs. The home struck us as being well managed and communication with family was very good. It made George's last days comfortable and peaceful. This was a great comfort to our family.

My father has been receiving the highest level of care. He has been peaceful and joining in with the activities. If the care staff feel he may be unwell they immediately call in the GP if they think its necessary.

I am over all very happy with the care he is receiving.

I would like to praise the Activities Coordinator Tammy and the staff who brought my Dad to the activity for organising a visit from the local fire fighters to attend the home to see him.
My Dad never attends activities as he prefers his own space and can be very grumpy when doing an activity, so to see him enjoying hearing from the fire fighters and trying on their uniforms in the photos that were taken of him has been the highlight of our day, it brought back some lovely memories for my Dad who in his younger years was a firefighter himself, Unfortunately due to dementia these memories are fading fast so to see him so happy and engaging was magical.

The staff at the home work tirelessly to care for our loved ones and do not get the recognition they so truly deserve, and I am forever grateful for this special treat for my Dad and it really does feel like you are family when they do special events like this

Our beloved friend recently passed away at Heathlands Care Home, and we are deeply grateful for the outstanding care they received. From the very beginning, the staff showed kindness, respect, and compassion, creating a warm and supportive environment that truly felt like home.
We would especially like to thank the managers for their exceptional leadership and dedication. One of them cared for our friend with gentleness and professionalism, always offering patience and compassion. The other brought warmth and reassurance, ensuring that the home was well run and filled with dignity and kindness. Their support extended not only to our friend but also to us as family and friends during such a difficult time.
The wider Heathlands team also went above and beyond to ensure our friend's final days were peaceful and dignified. The home is always clean, welcoming, and nurturing, with staff who treat residents as part of their own family.

Although we are heartbroken by our loss.

My father came to Heathland's after a month stay in hospital with fractured ribs and spinal fractures
To be honest we didn't think he would make it out of hospital
Now he is walking again, eating well and having one to one care. Quite amazing

Downsides- the help button hardly ever works and my requests for change of room so far haven't been acknowledged.

My mum was transferred to Heathlands a few weeks before she died but the staff and management were brilliant. They were so kind, caring and could not do enough for us. My mum was treated with the utmost dignity and care. They were so patient with us as we have so many siblings. It was kept so clean, plenty of parking, refreshments for visitors too. Nothing we asked was ever too much.

Although my husband was only in Heathlands Care Home for 3 weeks before he died, He was very happy there.
All the staff, care nurses, carers, kitchen staff and the management were excellent to name but a few.
They were all very sensitive to the needs of the patient and the family during visiting.
The doctor seemed to come regularly (Thursdays) I believe was very nice.

Plenty of parking and visiting was not tied to certain times although they preferred you not to visit during mealtime.

My Nan is so happy at Heathlands which she now refers to as her home. She has her own room, the team is consistent and Nan adores her keyworker and praises the other staff. She couldn't ask for better care everyone is so friendly, positive and meets Nan's care needs. There is a nurse on Nan's level at all times who meets Nan's medical needs booking her in with the relevant agencies ie audiologist and chiropodist. The home has fantastic choices of food. The activities team is led by a fantastic team leader, all are enthusiastic, caring and lovely making sure Nan has a great day, they do arts/crafts, coffee mornings and garden visits. The nursing home also arranged for the local day nursery to visit and Nan loved interacting with the children. They also have fun days including live singers for all the family to enjoy. There are regular family meetings and posters where you can keep up to date with what's going on. Nan gets her hair done every other week by a hairdresser who comes to the home.

The transfer from hospital to Heathlands was handled very efficiently and professionally.

The care was overall good. The food was very good with a good choice. The care of my uncle's clothes was excellent. The home was very clean and the majority of the staff were friendly and caring. My mum spent her last six months under the care of Heathlands and we were extremely happy with the way she was looked after here. The staff always made time for a chat with her and were always very kind. Family members who visited her also voiced the same opinions about the home and staff. Her room and laundry were always extremely clean and the cleaning/laundry staff members always made time to chat to my mum too. My mum always said that she had made the right decision about moving into this home and she was very happy here.

From the day she entered Heathlands staff went out of their way to make my mum feel welcome. Her bedroom was a good size, and she was able to personalise it with family photos and items to make it more homely. The level of care I witnessed was exceptional. The staff were attentive, and professional, treated my mum with dignity, and put her needs at the centre of every interaction with her. Some of the individual carers are brilliant, exactly the sort of people I wanted to care for Mum.

I was welcomed every day as a visitor, and every staff member from the minute I walked into the home greeted me with a smile, and all showed an interest in Mum. I was very impressed with the way in which families are kept up to date. I had remote access to Mum's care plan and was able to see the current state of her wellbeing. Discussions with the nurses were always professional and realistic. I would certainly recommend Heathlands.

I am very pleased with my mum's care. Her health has actually improved since being in hospital! However, she feels the ‘personal touch’ from carers drops a little at weekends when contract staff come in.

It is also not ideal that some of her room is used to store boxes of medication materials.
