I am very pleased with the standard of service provided to my mother, who has been aware of this nursing home for nay years, before having to move in permanently, following issues with her health.
I have not rated "food and drink" or "activities" as I have no experience with either, but I have no
reason to think that they would be anything but good or excellent, in line with the other categories I have rated.

Generally the care and home is more than anyone could want for their family. There are a few problems that arise from time to time, but when discussed with staff, they always do their best to sort out any matters rising. The main concern is always the beaker is empty when I visit mum. Mum's eyesight
is poor so she is unable to help herself to a drink. It worried me that she's not getting enough fluids.

Woodside is a good home and although dad wasn't keen to start with he has settled and seems content. The staff are respectful, kind and friendly. Dad loves the outside space and we spend time together sitting and enjoying the trees. As his only child, I have felt so relieved that he is safe and cared

Catering at Woodside is very hit -or-miss, there are plenty of desserts & cakes but the meals tend to be bland, for this reason I order freeze-dried meals in. A few more condiments with the salads, e.g. olive oil, vinaigrette's, mayonnaise. These can also lift plain sandwiches. Nutrition is paramount.

We are often filling out questionnaires about the menu, but as yet, nothing.

I have been a resident here for one year. I am settled and happy, having lost my husband, flat and possessions in the past year. Nice ensuite room and large TV. Kind and caring staff. I feel safe and secure and can actually see a doctor, hairdresser and podiatrist. Residents' laundry is also done too.
Activities coordinator is just starting and the food situation is better with new menus in January.

From the point of going to view Woodside, we were encouraged to ask questions and raise concerns and warmly welcomed. All the carers and management team did their utmost to make the moving and settling in happy and secure feeling. Carers work exceptionally hard and ensure the residents are clean and
well-dressed and all needs are catered for in a dignified and respectful manner. Woodside is very clean, tidy and has no unpleasant smells. It is a serene and pleasant home to visit, always being welcomed by the staff. The manager is approachable, friendly and the home is well-led.

It is extremely hard to write this review as this is my only experience of a care home, and it has coincided with the pandemic, which undoubtedly has impacted the ability of care homes to provide their usual service. That said, my parents have been treated with dignity and have been well looked after
at Woodside. Hopefully, there will soon be more activities and outings organised. I have no complaints at all.

My Mum was cared for by the Cedarcare home team at "Woodside" from September 2019 until her passing in January 2021 at age 95. They did, without exception, do a remarkable and consistent job of keeping her safe, well nursed and cared for throughout very difficult times. She was Covid free and passed
away peacefully in her sleep. They showed such kindness towards her and did their best to make her comfortable, as her frailty and heart condition inevitably worsened. The commitment of the nursing staff was more than anyone could hope for. Truly lovely, kind people, always happy to talk, inform and give reassurance. If you have to face such a journey, these are the people I would choose to be with.

On the whole, I am very happy at Woodside. I am very disappointed though with the sandwiches. The ham is very sparse and often the bread is dry. I have complained to the Manager three times. Each time it improves and then standards slip. Today the Manager said "but some residents can't chew! I can!!!
I have my own teeth! I would like to be served fresh sandwiches Thank you!

I was treated with dignity and great care from all staff at Woodside, they all made sure you had your meal on time and they were very good. If you needed any staff you only had to ring the bell but I tried not to call them as they are always busy but would still come.

Very happy with the care I have received. Clean and pleasant surroundings (could be swept outside more often). Staff always happy to help. A "soft stop" should be put on the latches to prevent loud banging.

My Mother has experienced a lot of loss during the past 7 months.
Woodside nursing home has been wonderful.
The staff are always cheerful, caring and happy to help in whatever way they can.
My Mother celebrated her 85th birthday on May 2nd and the chef made her a delicious birthday cake and all the
staff formed a circle and sang happy birthday.
She was so happy.
