It is always nice for staff to feel they can have a banter with families, yet be able to listen to comments and/or concerns and act accordingly. I know how much they and other residents too also enjoy seeing your little dog - it is always a pleasure to see her, whose visits are therapy for all at Roebuck Nursing Home. She was well cared for and we are grateful that you acknowledge the hard work of the care staff. Thank you for your review and the positive comments; although the rating was disappointing considering the overall wellbeing care P receives. I know you want him to be out of his bed/room more often and as you know P so well, will appreciate that he refuses most of the time. We advice him on his diet; yet respect his wishes. Staff are always at hand to support him, he gets on well them and has a good banter quite often with them;his room is cleaned every day by our cheerful domestic staff and P enjoys the food on offer. Thank you for your review and comments - albeit a little disappointing considering the care received. It was a genuine pleasure to look after Mum came to us on a Discharge to Assess bed, maximum stay of 4 weeks. She was in a lot of pain and thus unable to walk, requiring two members of staff for transfers. She settled well, took part in numerous activities, had lunch on the ground floor and welcomed the banter with other residents on that floor. She left us pain-free and walking independently, with the help of a frame. I am glad that Roebuck's management team were instrumental in her moving swiftly into the care home of your choice, nearer to you; knowing how frustrated you felt with the social service system, hence our involvement. We hope Mum is settling well in the new home and family are able to visit more regularly - which I know was an issue with her being at Roebuck. Give her our best. Regards.

Thank you for the positive review. It was lovely to see such a close family and you coming in as Mum's 'essential caregiver' gave her a lot of reassurance. Thank you also for taking my call on 20.11.23 to discuss the 'abrupt member of staff', and appreciate you saying that her work was good and that it was not a complaint. Please rest assured that I have addressed this with this member of staff.
