Magnolia House Residential Care Home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire is built on the outskirts of Sherwood Forest. It is close to local amenities and good transport links.
It boasts 62 spacious bedrooms all with en-suite wet room bathrooms.

My father is a resident. He is 93 and in spite of several serious underlying health conditions tells me he is very happy. The home is very quick to spot any health difficulty he has and contact his GP. The staff are very friendly and I have found nothing is too much trouble for them. Dad is very relaxed
and happy with all of the carers. He is clean, well-fed and happy.
My mother was a resident in the Home from 2017 until 2020. She was very well cared for. Both parents went in there in 2017 and I can honestly say the Magnolia House saved their lives, restored their dignity and gave them a renewed quality of life.

My first impression was of the security and cleanliness and welcoming attitude I experienced from all the staff bar none. Every member of staff displays a pleasant and upbeat outlook whenever I visit. They have a caring and capable attitude and my mother seems, as far as she is able because of her dementia, to respond positively.
It is a tight knit group and everyone seems to be aware of any issues regarding well being.
Activities
are varied and frequent and the music based segments seem to engage my mother.

It is one of the hardest decisions to make when you realise your mum needs more care than you can give. So moving into a care home is the next step. You start thinking of what your mum will have to give up, meaning her home, but what she has now moving into Magnolia House Residential Care Home has transformed
her life, and no more feeling lonely. Lovely home. Mum has lived here for two years and the settling in was made so easy with the wonderful staff, very welcoming and nothing too much trouble.
Would recommend very highly.
The care that mum receives is second to none.
Very well done Magnolia.

My sister is a resident of Magnolia House and I visit her three times a week. The care that is given is very good and they give attention to all resident's needs. My sister can have up or down moments as she has Alzheimer's, the care team always treat her appropriately. I am also contacted and advised
if there is ever an issue of health or attention required. There are activities that cover all abilities and encourage and help anyone who wishes to be involved. Always a welcoming feeling to visitors, you are treated as part of the family.

We were looking for a care home for our aunty after taking her to see a few she chose Magnolia House Residential Care Home, from the day she moved in she said she never wants to leave. She loves it, the staff have all been amazing with her and keep in contact with us if they have any concerns about
her health etc . She has made friends with other residents and loves the activities and other services they provide i.e hairdressers, parties, entertainers. The home itself is spotless and very welcoming the office door is always open and nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff . We would highly recommend Magnolia House Residential Care Home.

When my dad started to get to much for my mum we looked really hard in finding a caring home for my dad to be looked after.
After asking around Magnolia House Residential Care Home had been recommended to us and we couldn't be more pleased with my dad's care. The rooms are beautifully decorated and
are clean and you are allowed to make it your own. We have had a few issues but they were sorted eventually. We still do have to ask about my dad's forever changing illnesses and it can be frustrating at times when things don't get sorted straight away but overall we as a family are very pleased his care. The staff are very caring and we appreciate everything they do

In truth my review is for every single time we visit my Mother-in-Law.
Magnolia House is spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly, helpful, so very patient with the residents and so happy in their work. The food for the residents is delicious. The activities for the residents are amazing, there is
always something going on.
I cannot praise the staff of Magnolia House enough. I give it 100% on simply everything.
I am 70 yrs old and am going to see if it's possible to put my name down for there if it comes to me needing a nursing home.
Well done Magnolia House.
You really are Simply The Best.

We looked around many homes locally before Mum went to Magnolia House Residential Care Home, as soon as we walked in, it was welcoming, clean and fresh, uncluttered and well decorated. We were impressed with the staff and comfortable rooms. Once Mum was settled we had lots of support to settle her in,
Covid then closed the home but we were kept informed by everyone how Mum was, they did everything they could to help us safely visit. All the staff care about the residents, you know they know her. Would definitely recommend Magnolia House

Mum has been at Magnolia House since she broke her hip during Covid.
She has dementia and has settled in really well and is happy there.
She loved the visit from the alpaca so much that the staff took her to the farm.
Mum has put on weight since being there and is well cared for. Cannot thank everyone
enough.

We are from a local day nursery and will regularly bring the children up to see the residents at Magnolia House Residential Care Home. The residency is such a lovely place, always clean, staff are so polite and cannot do enough. The residents always seem happy. They provide activities for both residents
and children to take part in. Magnolia House recently hosted a Christmas party where one of the residents dressed up as Santa and the staff provided a Christmas tea party for us all. Overall the atmosphere is lovely and we look forward to our visits every week.

Staff in the home are all friendly, my mum's been there a few months. She looks better than I've seen her look for months. She's interacting with others. Eating much better than she was. It's a warm welcoming home, clean well run and I feel happy knowing she's being looked after by the staff there.
I would recommend the home to anyone. I can sleep at a night knowing she's safe.

Mum has been at Magnolia for just over two years now and l can say with absolute certainty that this care home is an excellent place to live. All the staff l have encountered, past and present, show the highest regard and care for mum. She is treated as an individual and her own unique character is
catered for at all times. Mum lived at her previous house for 54 years and always said that she would never leave it. As a family, we worried about what would happen if she was ever found to be in need of 24-hour care. After a spell in hospital, Mum went to Magnolia for a week’s respite care. She loved it so much that she asked to stay for good. We were astounded that she wanted to stay as she always said she would never leave her home. I can honestly say that that was the best decision that she made and the fact that she is still there and loving every minute is testament to the care given there. The facilities, activities and in particular the attention given during Covid is absolutely fantastic.

The Magnolia House team are amazing - the home has a welcoming and family atmosphere - my mum has been so happy here since she moved in - the daily social events and activities are exactly what Mum needed - the team are so caring and professional - they have gone over and above during the pandemic

Mum has been a resident at Magnolia House for 17 months and is very happy there. The staff are incredible and mum trusts them implicitly. They know mum so well and genuinely really care for her. Each day at Magnolia House is filled with stimulating activities. As a family, we regularly attend themed
dining in nights where we can get together socially. Mum's room is lovely and homely. Overall, our family is thrilled to have found Magnolia House. Mum's anxiety is greatly reduced and we have never seen her laugh so much.
