Magnolia House Residential Care Home

My sister is a resident of Magnolia House and I visit her three times a week. The care that is given is very good and they give attention to all resident's needs. My sister can have up or down moments as she has Alzheimer's, the care team always treat her appropriately. I am also contacted and advised if there is ever an issue of health or attention required. There are activities that cover all abilities and encourage and help anyone who wishes to be involved. Always a welcoming feeling to visitors, you are treated as part of the family.

We were looking for a care home for our aunty after taking her to see a few she chose Magnolia House Residential Care Home, from the day she moved in she said she never wants to leave. She loves it, the staff have all been amazing with her and keep in contact with us if they have any concerns about her health etc . She has made friends with other residents and loves the activities and other services they provide i.e hairdressers, parties, entertainers. The home itself is spotless and very welcoming the office door is always open and nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff . We would highly recommend Magnolia House Residential Care Home.

After asking around Magnolia House Residential Care Home had been recommended to us and we couldn't be more pleased with my dad's care. The rooms are beautifully decorated and are clean and you are allowed to make it your own. We have had a few issues but they were sorted eventually. We still do have to ask about my dad's forever changing illnesses and it can be frustrating at times when things don't get sorted straight away but overall we as a family are very pleased his care. The staff are very caring and we appreciate everything they do

You really are Simply The Best.

We looked around many homes locally before Mum went to Magnolia House Residential Care Home, as soon as we walked in, it was welcoming, clean and fresh, uncluttered and well decorated. We were impressed with the staff and comfortable rooms. Once Mum was settled we had lots of support to settle her in, Covid then closed the home but we were kept informed by everyone how Mum was, they did everything they could to help us safely visit. All the staff care about the residents, you know they know her. Would definitely recommend Magnolia House

As a friend of a resident at magnolia house, I can honestly say that the staff there are lovely caring and put the resident first, always happy to have a laugh with my friend he loved his time at magnolia house.

Mum has put on weight since being there and is well cared for. Cannot thank everyone enough.

We are from a local day nursery and will regularly bring the children up to see the residents at Magnolia House Residential Care Home. The residency is such a lovely place, always clean, staff are so polite and cannot do enough. The residents always seem happy. They provide activities for both residents and children to take part in. Magnolia House recently hosted a Christmas party where one of the residents dressed up as Santa and the staff provided a Christmas tea party for us all. Overall the atmosphere is lovely and we look forward to our visits every week.

Staff in the home are all friendly, my mum's been there a few months. She looks better than I've seen her look for months. She's interacting with others. Eating much better than she was. It's a warm welcoming home, clean well run and I feel happy knowing she's being looked after by the staff there. I would recommend the home to anyone. I can sleep at a night knowing she's safe.

Mum has been at Magnolia for just over two years now and l can say with absolute certainty that this care home is an excellent place to live. All the staff l have encountered, past and present, show the highest regard and care for mum. She is treated as an individual and her own unique character is catered for at all times. Mum lived at her previous house for 54 years and always said that she would never leave it. As a family, we worried about what would happen if she was ever found to be in need of 24-hour care. After a spell in hospital, Mum went to Magnolia for a week’s respite care. She loved it so much that she asked to stay for good. We were astounded that she wanted to stay as she always said she would never leave her home. I can honestly say that that was the best decision that she made and the fact that she is still there and loving every minute is testament to the care given there. The facilities, activities and in particular the attention given during Covid is absolutely fantastic.

The Magnolia House team are amazing - the home has a welcoming and family atmosphere - my mum has been so happy here since she moved in - the daily social events and activities are exactly what Mum needed - the team are so caring and professional - they have gone over and above during the pandemic whilst we haven’t been able to visit our loved ones - highly recommend.

My now-departed mum was a resident here for nearly two years. Such a happy home where the staff work tirelessly to ensure they have the best experience possible. A very varied timetable of activities to cater for all needs. I cannot praise the staff enough, kind, caring, thoughtful, going above and beyond what was expected.

Mum has been a resident at Magnolia House for 17 months and is very happy there. The staff are incredible and mum trusts them implicitly. They know mum so well and genuinely really care for her. Each day at Magnolia House is filled with stimulating activities. As a family, we regularly attend themed dining in nights where we can get together socially. Mum's room is lovely and homely. Overall, our family is thrilled to have found Magnolia House. Mum's anxiety is greatly reduced and we have never seen her laugh so much.

Exceptional kindness, care and dignity is given to the residents. Food is freshly prepared and well presented. Daily daytime activities including day trips out and also evening functions are well thought out. The staff are wonderful and always approachable. They understand the individual needs of their residents and I feel they are always striving to do the best for those they care for.

My father has lived here for over four years and he is very happy and content. It is a remarkable and happy home. The manager is extremely approachable and has a very down to earth approach dealing with your concerns. I would not hesitate in recommending Magnolia House.

I visit Magnolia House regularly and it is a happy home where the staff seem to treat the residents almost as family. I have been very pleased with the treatment of my mum in law. The home also has a range of activities for the residents. It is clean and well kept.

I came into the home on respite a few years ago and was treated with love and care. I came back a few months later to stay, I have been here 5 1/2 years, and I still love the home.

Wonderful caring staff. A lovely place to both live and visit. Lots of good ideas and activities, always doing something different and having fun. My Gran is very well looked after and I feel safe knowing that she is there, her mood has improved greatly since living there compared to home. She always says the food is lovely and her bedroom is beautiful and was personally decorated to her taste.

My mum has been in Magnolia House since February 2019 and is very happy. She joins in all the activities on a daily basis there is always something happening. Mum seems to have a new lease of life now she has company all day. She has been to Hospital today to distribute the Easter eggs to the children’s ward and had a lovely morning. They called in the pub on the way home for coffee, biscuits and ice cream. All the staff are extremely attentive and are always there to help and reassure mum. I am very happy with the services provided in Magnolia and so pleased mum has a room here.
