I cannot fault the experience that my Dad is receiving from the Manor House. The staff are all attentive and friendly & the home's furnishings and ambience are lovely. My Dad's room is thoughtfully decorated whilst also catering to his mobility issues in the en-suite bathroom, including an effective non-slip floor in the walk-in shower. The gardens are well maintained with plenty of seating areas.
My Dad has some mobility problems and getting in and out of seating can be a problem. Yet all the areas at the Manor House, both inside and out, are accessible to my Dad and he is completely free to sit anywhere independently. To provide an inviting, pleasant space whilst addressing elderly residents' needs is not always an easy balance but the Manor House achieves this effortlessly.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of The Manor House Gosforth. It was wonderful to welcome your Dad back into the home and to hear that he is enjoying his stay. We will ensure that your kind words are shared with our staff team.
I organised an afternoon tea with my friends and Marie who is currently residing at The Manor House Gosforth. It was so lovely, the food was exceptional, the staff so attentive and everyone had a lovely afternoon - one friend commented that you wouldn't get a better setting if you visited The Ritz. We all agreed. So thank you to Suzanne and all of the staff at The Manor House for making Marie's afternoon with her friends so memorable.
We are so pleased to hear that you all had such a wonderful time. Thank you for the lovely feedback. We will ensure that your kind words and compliments are shared with the whole team.
Another beautiful afternoon tea provided by the friendly and attentive staff of the Manor House. Seeing our resident friend in such wonderful accommodation, with staff who obviously care, reassures us every time we visit.
Thank you for sharing your experience of The Manor House Gosforth. It is lovely to hear that you enjoyed your Afternoon Tea with your friend and we hope that you enjoy many more.
From the moment Mum arrived she was treated with kindness, dignity and genuine compassion. The staff were always professional and caring taking the time to make sure she was comfortable and well looked after.
We were made to feel very welcome when we visited and always kept fully informed.
The Manor House was always clean, welcoming well maintained and every member of staff we met was friendly professional and generally dedicated to providing excellent care.
We are truly grateful for the support Mum received during this important stage of a recovery and we would highly recommend the Manor House to anyone looking for high-quality respite care or continuing long-term care.
Thank you again to everyone at the Manor House for making it such a positive experience.

My mother has been a resident of Manor House since April 2023. She has been very well cared for and the staff have responded very ably to her changing needs. All the rooms have been recently renovated and the garden is in pristine condition. The home now has two lifestyle coordinators who arrange a varied programme of activities for residents.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of The Manor House Gosforth. We are especially proud of the wonderful garden at the home, which is enjoyed by many. Your kind words will be shared with the staff team.
The Manor House looked after my Grandad for 4 years and were exceptional throughout the whole time. The staff were extremely friendly but more importantly patient and attentive to his needs throughout. The extra care needed for their dementia residents is fantastic and I would strongly recommend.
The facilities are also exceptional.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of The Manor House Gosforth. Your feedback will be shared with the staff team.
Everything satisfactory.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. It is pleasing to see from your star ratings that you are happy with everything in the home.
I am pleased to share this review on behalf of my mother, who moved into The Manor House in December 2025. From our very first visit, it was clear that The Manor House stood out as something truly special. The facility genuinely deserves its five-star reputation, not only for its impressive amenities but also for the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. Every time you walk through the doors, you're greeted by friendly faces and engaging conversations, making residents and visitors alike feel completely at ease.
The Manor House features an open-plan layout, with spacious lounges that invite you to relax, read a book, or enjoy a chat with others. The absence of doors between communal areas gives a sense of openness and accessibility, thoughtfully designed to encourage interaction and comfort. Residents are offered a wide variety of activities, with a daily schedule shared with both them and their families. This has proven especially helpful when planning visits.
Thank you for your very kind review of The Manor House Gosforth and the care received by your Mother. We are delighted to receive such encouraging comments and we will certainly pass these on to all our staff.
They are both looked after with dignity, care and compassion.
My father who is on the dementia floor requires a greater need of constant care, he is cared for very well, the staff looking after him are all very approachable and informative. He is always kept clean and smartly dressed and his room is kept clean and tidy. The staff are very good at caring for his dignity and personal space as well as caring for his everyday needs.
My mum, who resides on the lower floor is equally as well cared for, she has a wonderful social life, playing cards, scrabble and dominoes with her friends on a daily basis as well as the additional activities organised by the care home.
I would recommend this care home, it's immaculately clean, friendly and well run.
Thank you for sharing such a positive review of the care being provided to your Mum and Dad at The Manor House Gosforth. It is a privilege to care for them both and we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. We will ensure that your comments are shared with the whole staff team.
I moved into The Manor House over twelve months ago and the move has proved to be a big success. I have made many friends with both residents and care staff alike. But the main advantage, for me of living here, is a doctor visits the property each week to make sure all our health needs are met.
Thank you for taking the time to share such positive thoughts about your move into the Manor House Gosforth. It is lovely to hear that you have made new friends since taking up residence. We will ensure that your feedback is shared with the wider staff team.
For over two years I have regularly visited my friend whom I have known for sixty-five years. When she was going to be moved to residential care I was quite upset. However, when I made my first visit I was relieved to find she would be well cared for in a cosy, homely and friendly atmosphere. Since then, I have always been welcomed with a friendly greeting or smile by management and other members of staff. There are many activities and outings arranged for residents, family and friends are invited to social events. I can't thank everyone enough.
Some of the social events that family and friends are invited to are:Garden parties, Carol Services, some of which residents are linked with other groups in the choir. Carol singing around the Christmas Trees in the garden. Theme nights - very sociable events, and good fun. We have been to Greek, Italian, Indian, Mexican etc. Last year 'The Burns Night' included a 'Piper' who piped in the Haggis, tartan was worn and singing enjoyed. Such activities have not just been good for residents but for family, friends and staff.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences of The Manor House Gosforth. Providing social stimulation and a range of activities that can be enjoyed by many is very important to us and it is lovely to hear that these are welcomed and appreciated.
My mother moved into The Manor House in October 2024 for respite care after a fall and a hospital stay. She is now looking at it being a permanent resident. She has settled in well due to the kindness and professionalism of the staff, the comfort and standard of her surroundings and the excellent food.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences of The Manor House Gosforth. It is lovely to hear that your Mum has settled in so much that she would like to stay permanently. We will share your lovely comments with the staff team.
The staff are all great and the environment within the home is fantastic. Mum is cared for in a very compassionate way and enjoys being in the home. There is a good choice of meals. There is no pressure to engage in activities but there are a good variety of events available.
Thank you for taking the time to write such positive feedback. We are delighted to hear that your Mum is enjoying her life at The Manor House and will ensure that your kind comments are passed on to the whole team.
The quality of the accommodation is equivalent to a 5-star hotel. The bedrooms are spacious with quality furniture and fittings and to be able to sit in beautifully decorated lounges or have a coffee or cocktail in the Cafe Bar makes visiting very pleasurable. The grounds are very well looked after, bringing colour and peace of mind to the residents.
Manor House is well-managed and the caring ethos permeates throughout the home.
Well done Manor House.
It is lovely to hear that your mum has settled in so well at the Manor Hose Gosforth and that you are all very satisfied with the care and support that is offered. Thank you for taking the time to submit such a lovely review.

Thank you for your very kind review regarding the care of your Father during his time with us at The Manor House Gosforth. It is lovely to hear such positive feedback and we will ensure that this is shared with the whole team.
This care home was truly first-class. My father really enjoyed his time at The Manor House and was incredibly supported always. We could not wish for a nicer place for his twilight years and the attention to detail was fantastic!

From the moment Mum arrived she was wonderfully looked after with such care and consideration.
Due to complications following the surgery doctors and nurses had to be called upon and the Manor House dealt with this speedily and effectively.
All care staff were delightful, happy, and above all caring and we could not have asked for more.
Thank you to everyone for getting Mum back on her feet (literally!) and we would have no hesitation in recommending the Manor House to anyone.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at The Manor House Gosforth. It is lovely to hear that your Mum felt well cared for and we wish her well in her ongoing recovery. Your kind words will be shared with the staff team.
The food was well presented and of good quality. The general appearance of the internal of the building was first class, with tasteful furnishings and decor.
My only criticisms surround the laundry system, which seemed to be a little unreliable at times and the bed, which I found to be too firm, although I realise this is very much a personal matter.
The staff that I met were good, efficient and good-humoured.
My experience was very positive and if/when I have further surgery to replace my other hip, I will most certainly be hoping that I can once again stay for a period of respite care.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay at The Manor House Gosforth. We are delighted to hear that, overall, your stay was a pleasant and positive one. We are sorry that your laundry took a little longer than expected to be returned to you but we understand that this...
The warmth of welcome that was extended to her each time she has stayed was heartwarming to witness and Mum was clearly touched by this and all the kindness shown to her by all the staff during her time at The Manor House.
I would thoroughly recommend The Manor House for respite care for much-loved family members, it is a really wonderful place to be and to visit.
Thank you very much for your kind review regarding your mother's respite stays with us. We are delighted to hear how happy you all were with the care your mother received and we will certainly pass on your kind comments to all our Team.
All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and professional and the premises are beautiful with excellent facilities and cleanliness. There are many activities on offer and although my relation did not want to take part, that decision was respected but regularly offered in case she had changed her mind.
Overall, I don't think we could have asked for more as a home-from-home.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the service provided at The Manor House Gosforth. It is lovely to hear that the team were so helpful and professional and that we were able to accommodate your request for respite care. We look forward to welcoming your relative into the home again should this be necessary in the future.
