The room was lovely, as was the restaurant and coffee shop area. Everyone was very accommodating.
Thank you for taking the time to tell us how pleased you were with your stay at The Manor House, and we are thrilled that you will stay with us again in the future. We value all feedback, and we are always looking for ways to improve our service. We will ensure your kind comments are shared with the staff team.
Feels more like a country house hotel than a care home, very comfortable with excellent facilities and great food. The staff are all very friendly and capable and dad enjoys the activities which as quizzes and mobility fit classes. Excellent all round.
Thank you for taking the time to write such positive feedback. We are delighted to hear that your dad is enjoying his life at The Manor House and will ensure that your kind comments are passed on to the whole team.
The Manor House, Gosforth is far and away the best we have ever been in.
From the care standards they apply in all areas for the benefit of residents (which are non-negotiable!) to every aspect of the physical environment they excel.
I don't think we need to say any more.
We are delighted to receive your kind and positive comments and will pass these on to all our staff.
The team at Manor House are quite exceptional with the support and care they provide to all residents and visitors. They organised a lovely Japanese evening recently when residents and family members all joined together to have a beautiful reception and meal together. The team had dressed the dining room with Japanese-themed products and the chefs provided an exceptional meal. None of this would have been possible without the support of the events team in Manor House. Thank you to the team who continue to involve residents and enhance their experiences.
Thank you very much for your lovely review of The Manor House Gosforth, and we are pleased to hear that you particularly enjoyed our recent Japanese Evening. We do our best to ensure that all our Residents and their families enjoy quality time together, especially with the events we regularly...
The quality of the surroundings is superb, including her room, the public areas and the lovely gardens. The level of detail with which the whole home is managed is excellent and senior management is always available to discuss concerns, offering strategies to resolve any minor issues.
I have personally visited over 12 care homes in the area and this one is, by far, the best that I have seen. We are grateful for all the care our mother receives at The Manor House.
Thank you very much for your kind review regarding your mother’s care at The Manor House Gosforth. We always strive to make sure all our residents receive the highest level of individual care and it is encouraging to receive such positive feedback. We trust your mother continues to thrive within our care and we will certainly pass on your kind comments to all our staff.
I stayed for two weeks to convalesce after an operation. It is a great place to recuperate. Food excellent, staff friendly, helpful, and obliging. The Manor House Gosforth is beautifully appointed and it was a pleasure to stay there.
Thank you very much for your lovely review regarding your convalescence at The Manor House Gosforth. We are delighted to hear that your time with us was such a positive experience and we will certainly pass on your kind comments to all our staff.
To stimulate residents, activities are organised daily and include arts and crafts, exercise and chi, live music, guest speakers and mini-bus outings. Participation is encouraged but is optional, if residents choose not to participate, their decision is accepted and respected, as it should be.
The home and grounds are immaculate and whilst the quality of care has to be the primary focus when placing a relative, the environment forms part of that care. It has to be clean, bright, comfortable, stimulating and safe. My view is that if staff take the time to ensure that the environment is well looked after, they will take the time to ensure that the residents are well looked after and that is definitely what I have seen in Manor House Care Home. If I was looking for a home for myself, it would be Manor House.
We are delighted to hear how happy you are, not only with the care your uncle receives but also with the ‘home away from home’ environment we strive to provide for each of our...
My aunt has been a resident for 20 months. She became ill at the age of 99 and now suffers from severe short-term memory loss, making independent living no longer possible. As her attorney, I accepted a place at The Manor House and feel extremely fortunate that this was possible at a time made even more difficult by the Covid crisis. The building and grounds are immaculate, but it is the level of care which makes The Manor House outstanding. The senior staff are accessible and reassuringly professional and I have huge respect for all the carers who are looking after my aunt with sympathy, good humour and patience. She doesn't understand or accept her loss of independence so all these qualities are tested regularly. I would not hesitate to recommend The Manor House to anyone looking for a Residential Home.
Thank you very much for your positive and kind comments regarding your Aunt's care. Our aim is always to provide the highest quality of care for each of our residents and we really appreciate hearing that The Manor House Gosforth is meeting your expectations regarding your Aunt's care. Your comments have been passed on to all our staff at the Home.
The Manor House, Gosforth is an extremely well-led residential care home. It is always a pleasure to visit Mam in such a warm and friendly environment. The staff have made Mam feel happy and safe which in turn has made the family feel reassured that The Manor House is the perfect place for her care.
It’s great to know that your Mum is enjoying life at The Manor House and that you are happy with the care and support she receives. Thank you for taking the time to write this review, we really appreciate all feedback and your kind comments have been passed on to our Home Manager and staff.
The care provided by the staff is excellent. My father has dementia but is treated with respect, and they really care for him.
Thank you very much for your kind comments regarding the care of your father at The Manor House Gosforth. They are very much appreciated and have been passed on to all our staff at the home.
The care for my mother at this home was exceptional, the staff went above and beyond to make my mothers stay very enjoyable and she was able to fully integrate into all the activities that the home provided. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone who is looking for a place for their loved ones to reside.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review and for all your kind and positive comments. We were delighted to be able to care for your mother and that she was able to fully enjoy her time with us at The Manor House Gosforth.
We always aim to provide the highest quality of care...
For what is a traumatic and distressing time for the family of those suffering from any condition making it impossible for the person to look after themselves, Manor House made it as relaxed, worry-free and supportive as it could possibly be.
My Dad has thrived with the care and attention given to him. Eating regular and nutritious meals, keeping to a more regular sleep pattern all are things that Alzheimer's sufferers living alone do not do.
Sufferers can become isolated and withdrawn but at The Manor House they engage with Dad is such a way that he can be part of conversation and activities. He has made friends and has company which is so important for his mental wellbeing.
The home is immaculate at all times, with beautiful gardens and grounds. The residents are all well turned out and the staff kind, friendly and professional.
It is a truly amazing place.
It’s great to know that your Dad is enjoying life at The Manor House and that we are meeting your expectations. Thank you for taking the time to write this review, we really appreciate all feedback.
This is an excellent care home and really at this exceptionally worrying time, we could not have wished for our mother to be anywhere else. The fixtures, fittings and food are nice but it is the people here who really care. The FaceTime with Mum at a time when we have not been able to visit because of COVID, where some of us work (NHS) and because others of us are shielding has been wonderful. I am really full of praise for this team of carers who really are the best. I do not know what more they could have done during a pandemic. That’s what you want for our Mum at such a time.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, we always aim to provide the best care for each resident. We would like to thank you also for your understanding on restricted visiting at this time, and we are delighted you are enjoying FaceTime with your Mum.
The Manor House is excellent. All the staff are so kind and helpful and the facilities are super. My mother has been a resident for the past four months and everyone welcomed her so warmly. The care she receives is excellent and anything she needs is provided. Obviously everyone has been working under difficulties through the pandemic, but the staff have been cheerful and caring and careful throughout and The Manor House has avoided any Covid-19. I really can't thank everyone enough. We are so pleased we found The Manor House for my mother.
Many thanks for your review, and for your patience during the restricted visiting. We are always available for our residents and their families, if there is ever anything you would like to discuss with us please do not hesitate to do so.
I can tell by mum's face (she is 101yrs and has vascular dementia) that she is perfectly content.
Thank you to all the staff for looking after mum so well throughout this torrid time.
Thank you for your review, we are committed to keeping everyone as safe as possible. We really appreciate your understanding through the visiting restrictions, thank you, and we are very pleased that we can now ease the restrictions a little for short visits.
The surroundings, both internally and externally, are beautifully maintained, and there are various activities and facilities for residents to enjoy.
On behalf of the team at The Manor House, I'd like to say thank you so much for your patience during this time of restricted visiting. It's lovely to know that our care and accommodation continue to meet your expectations too, thank you for your review.
This home could not be better. Lovely staff and excellent services. Done a brilliant job during COVID. Good entertainment programme. Excellent food and pleasant clean and well-decorated rooms. Coffee lounge and good facilities. Lovely garden.
Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience of The Manor House. We aim to provide the best care for each of the residents at all times, and it's great to have your support during the restricted visiting we have had to set up because of Covid-19.
This care home is completely brilliant. Through the whole COVID crisis the team here have been amazing. So professional, so scrupulous with their standards and above all really kind and considerate to their residents. Obviously these have been worrying times but I have never once feared for my 89-year-old mum. I knew she was in the best place and that the team at The Manor would do their utmost to keep her safe. Not a single case of COVID here, no shortages of kit either. The manager does a great job with two fabulous sidekicks, too many lovely kind staff to mention!
We are delighted that we are meeting your expectations, many thanks for this review. And thank you for helping us to keep everyone safe too while we have had to put visiting restrictions in place.
Our family member has been a Manor House resident for two and a half years. I had visited the home six months earlier whilst researching care homes. We felt fortunate that a room was available when needed urgently. The transition from living in the community to living in a care home is challenging for the resident and carers alike. Involvement in initial care planning helped to make sure key information was shared between family and the home. Our family member settled well and her increasing care needs have been met sensitively. Even now she regularly reports that everyone is very kind and she only has to ask and help is forthcoming. The home is impeccably presented, both the interior and the grounds. A friendly and helpful staff at all levels makes visiting a positive experience. We are extremely grateful for the professional approach the home has taken throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our team is committed to keeping residents as safe as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thank you for your patience with the visiting restrictions that we have had to impose to do this. Thank you also for your review, we really value all feedback.
The Manor House itself is a beautifully appointed building but the staff, with their cheerful, hard-working demeanour and friendly approach are what make this care-home exceptional. I would recommend it without any reservations whatsoever.
Many thanks for taking the time to write this review. Our residents always come first for us and we provide as much support as is needed whenever it is required.
