Therefore I would like to leave my review based on my personal circumstances.
I can wholeheartedly recommend "Ralphlands", my wife moved into the care home in November 2025 and from the first day she was made to feel special, her care is quite demanding, as she is in a wheelchair and needs constant attention. However nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they all made her feel welcome from the start of her admission, she has her own room with ensuite both cleaned everyday, change of bedding also everyday with call buttons/lanyard available for emergencies or just for other requirements.
There is a choice of menus each day along with snacks, drinks etc. All the staff and I mean ALL the staff are really pleasant and courteous, everybody helps out even if its just to pass on messages, they cannot do enough for you

My brother and I chose Ralphland Care Home for mum after an initial visit. The friendly staff and homely atmosphere "sold it to us". This was well before mum required 24 hour care, but once it was evident that mum could not remain safely at home, Ralphland was our 1st choice. Fortunately they had space, and mum has settled really well and is very happy. Care has been first class and mums needs which have developed are catered for by caring, friendly staff, at all levels. My husband went into Ralphland Care Home for one week respite care at the end of October 2025. He immediately felt at home there. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was good. He was very happy there and very well cared for.

My mother was a resident for just over 2 1/2 years. She received excellent care throughout her stay. The home is very tidy & clean. The carers are always friendly and willing to assist with every need. I highly recommend Ralphland Carehome to anyone who has a relation / friend who requires care. The care given to my Mum during her stay of almost 10 months was excellent. The staff are very caring and lovely and did their best to always make Mum happy. They were also lovely and friendly to us and we got to know them quite well as we visited every day. The management team was friendly, helpful, and responsive to Mum's needs and was quick to inform us of any medical issues or concerns. They cared for Mum with love and dignity in her final days.

I cannot recommend this care home enough. The staff go above and beyond, the care and safety of the residents are a priority which puts us at ease knowing our loved one is being looked after to a high standard! The manager is fantastic. The staff at Ralphland have given him excellent care throughout and were very patient and caring as Dad found it quite difficult to settle in his new place, to begin with.
All the staff are very friendly, caring and approachable and the manager always makes herself available if I need to discuss anything about Dad's care.

Her dietary needs are well catered for and she is kept well hydrated with a jug of juice in her room, which is refreshed twice a day and plenty of tea.
She continues to thrive at Ralphland as she can join in activities in the lounge or retire to her room if she wants some private time. If she is in her room the staff check on her regularly and the emergency call system has been replaced in the last two years.

The warmth, kindness, care and professionalism shown to Mum has been nothing but first class throughout, even during the early stages when she struggled to accept her new surroundings.
Now mum doesn't want to be anywhere else and keeps telling me all her friends should be here too because it is so good!
She celebrated her 95 birthday this month and received cards from the team as well as a beautiful birthday cake. She had the biggest grin on her face and I am so grateful to the Ralphland team because I know they give her all the care she needs and more.
We had to use Ralphland for a four week period of respite for my dad, who has dementia. During that period, he was really well looked after by all staff there. We found all staff very kind and polite to all residents and visitors alike; nothing seemed to be a problem for them and from day one they were very professional. I would have no problem recommending them to anyone that needs to use their facility.
My nan lived in Ralphland Care Home from when she left hospital until she passed away. She was always extremely well looked after and well presented. It was so reassuring to know that she was receiving excellent care and the staff were always friendly and had a caring attitude. The staff were so compassionate when my nan passed away and ensured that the family were updated and our wishes respected.
But overall, everything was excellent. Thank you all so much.

Mum lived at Ralphland Care Home for around a year, thank you would never be enough gratitude for the care that the staff offered my mother at this stage of her life. My mum had dementia which could often be challenging but the staff always treated her with dignity and respect. Ralphland really is a home-from-home.
You hear horrible stories about the elderly and disabled in care homes and you worry. I want Mum to be treated with love and kindness above all else and that's what they do here. I've witnessed it over the past few months. They are patient, kind and helpful to everyone living here, including Mum. I have to drive 140 miles each way to see Mum but it's worth it knowing that she can't be better looked after and cared for anywhere else. Thank you to all those who work here, I wish I had some say over your salaries.

Roche has worked in the Health and Social Care Sector for 17 years. Upon starting an apprenticeship at Ralphland care home when she was 17, Roche realised that her career lay in a care role, which is why she continued to develop her career within the sector. Roche has care management experience in Nursing and Residential care and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of her residents as well as her team members.
Why did you decide to return to Ralphland Care home as Home Manager? I was pleased to find there was a great support network. The company provided clear directions and expectations for team members.
What do you enjoy most about your job? I love that I can help people to make positive changes in their lives and help them achieve their goals. It’s also great that I can utilise my leadership skills by being a supportive manager to my fantastic team. I believe being a positive role model empowers not only my team members but our residents, too. I find this helps to build up their confidence, self-worth, motivation and drive. My commitment to my roles ensures all our residents receive high-quality care and are treated with dignity and respect. Throughout my career, I have upheld these values and principles. This has led me to witness many positive life-changing situations.
What are your favourite hobbies and pastimes? I love music and like to attend various venues and an eclectic mix of artists up and down the country. I’m also very family-oriented, so I’ll often be found with relatives and friends in my downtime.
Are there any highlights in your career you are particularly proud of? For more than 6 years, I worked as a Nursing home Deputy Manager for Four Seasons Health Care. During my time there, I was proud of the development of my career. This lead me to be recognised as Deputy Manager of the year in the Wigan and Leigh hospice care home award 2021. To be a non-clinical deputy manager and win this award was a great achievement and extremely rare. I believe I flourished in my role due to having a positive impact on our residents’ care and the service we provided.
