Holmesview cared for my mother in the last 6 months of her life. The staff were excellent and incredibly caring towards Mum at a very difficult time for all of us. The staff were always informative and supportive of our family members. Mum had a very comfortable room overlooking the lovely garden and felt very much at peace in this care home. Thank you to everyone who helped look after Mum.

Holmesview have cared for my mother for 8 years and over this time her needs have changed substantially. Holmesview have always met these changing needs promptly and without question. Providing different support equipment as required. The staff have been most supportive especially during her times of greatest need. Similarly, her changing dietary requirements have always been met. Holmesview have given me great peace of mind.

I have been a resident here for 10 months and I feel very much at home and one of the family. I am very well cared for and nothing is too much trouble. I especially enjoy the different activities provided, bus trips etc. Life is never dull or boring. I would especially like to commend the patience and caring nature of all the staff who have looked after me. Thank you.

Overall Experience

Holmesview is an excellent facility with very professional and caring staff. My father has been a resident for 6 months and has Alzheimer's disease. His condition has been very stable since he has been in the care home. He participates in many activities which I feel he enjoys and this stimulates him. Before entering the care home he did not do very much at all. Holmsview has an extensive program of activities, including trips away in the bus which my father attends regularly. The caring staff are always warm and friendly and treat the residents with the dignity they deserve. The staff create a safe, comfortable and enjoyable place for the residents to live. The home-cooked food is also excellent which suits my Dad, as given half a chance he would eat continuously. I wish to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Holmesview.

Thank you very much for leaving your feedback and appreciation. We are so pleased that your father is enjoying the activity programme and finds the staff caring and friendly. Our chef and catering staff offer a selection of tempting meals and it's great to hear that this is also a highlight for your father.

Overall Experience

A superb and relatively newly built care home that has 60 ensuite rooms split into individual units of 10, each with its own dining room and lounge creating small close-knit communities for the residents. There is a communal sun room where residents can meet and for activities. My family found this care home almost by chance and with my wife blocking a hospital bed she moved in one week from our first seeing it. She settled very quickly due to the wonderful atmosphere and excellent care provided and has made use of the many activities including outings in the minibus and her favourite, regular visits to the local pub where she and other residents are welcomed by the locals. All staff without fail are welcoming and smiling and the home is maintained to an exceptionally clean and fresh environment. The costs are not cheap but I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I am happy to recommend it.

Overall Experience

This care home is extremely clean, tidy and well maintained. Most of the staff are very friendly and always interact with the residents. After some meetings and discussions, we seem to have my mother on a more varied diet plan that meets her dietary requirements. There is a group of activity staff who are also very friendly with the residents. I would like to see more information given to the residents' family members on how often their loved ones go to these activities or outings so that I could interact with my mother about her day. I would also like to see more staff so that the residents can be more closely monitored. I am overall happy with my mum's care and would recommend the home to others in the same situation as ourselves.
